What real crap for food! Service is pushy, rude, and rushed! The ambiance is very unsettling the moment you walk in you will want to leave!

Not sure who needs to read this.......but today is one of those days that you want to escape…read moreeverything and everyone........but, I decided to come to Flower Child and was reminded that "this is my happy place". It's not just about the food, the atmosphere and the staff are unbeatable. It's something about just being here allows me to think and not OVER THINK, quiet the noise, and just exist in a space that welcomes me in gently, kindly, and smiling faces everywhere, the food is a PLUS!!!!!!! If you need a happy place and a space to just sit and be welcomed in, no matter what you days is or has been, you are safe here :) I am grateful for the staff and how I am treated when I'm here is just unmatched. https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g34618-d33064885-r1074145257-Flower_Child-Sarasota_Florida.html#

The outdoor seating area is also really nice and spacious. I ordered the Peruvian Braised Beef and honestly it wasn't my favorite. There was a lot of beef compared to the amount of rice and the beef had so much sauce that it was hard to really taste the other flavors, especially the black bean sofrito. The picked red onion were delicious, though and the salsa verde was SO good, spicy but full of flavor. The seasonal kombucha was delicious and the lemonade was good too. The person I was with got the Mother Earth bowl, which looked sooo good! Service was good and definitely and I'd definitely come back to try some of the other dishes.

I also love their wide selection of sauces. It gives me a variety of flavor depending on what I am feeling that day. Sweet Sriracha is my #1! Additionally, I had amazing service by the staff tonight. An employee named Haylee worked the second drive-thru window and was very kind. It was also very nice of Shannon to bring the food out to me when I had to park. The atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming to guests. Overall, definitely one of my favorite restaurants. I will be coming back here again whenever I'm in town :)

Their chicken is better than chic fil a and that honey mustard is soooo good. One thing I wish they brought back was the sliced apples and the dessert dip with nuts. It was amazing! A unique PDQ treat. 4 stars. I'd go back. Service: Was friendly and helpful. Can't expect too much for fast food other than a smile and help when needed. Ambiance: Fast food with a better inside. Two choose your own soda pop and flavor machines. Coke for the win! No one likes Pepsi, good choice PDQ. Also, they had TV's who knew. You can order yourself at the kiosk or go to the counter. And they have a nice handwashing station.

I was in the mood for a burger, and some reviews on Yelp said this place has pretty good ones, so I…read morethought I'd give it a try. Apparently it's a chain, but being from the Northeast, I didn't know that. Pulling up to the restaurant, I thought it looked kind of cute -- like an old-fashioned soda fountain, something you might've seen in the TV series Happy Days, which is set in the 1950s. As I walked in, a family was coming out. I asked if they had table service. They looked at me oddly. I said, I've never been here before. They said, "Oh, you just order at the counter." I figured it just must be a fast food place, but the food didn't appear to be premade and wrapped like at a McDonald's. The menu was displayed above the counter, but not all the items were described. What's a California burger? I asked. "It's a hamburger with lettuce, tomato, onion, and Thousand Island dressing." Okay, I said -- let me have one of those and a small strawberry milkshake. They call their burgers, 'steak burgers", not hamburgers. I don't know why. The patties are very thin, you get two of them in your sandwich, and they're so long they hang out over the back of the bun. I placed my order, paid, and the clerk and I just stared at each other for a moment. He said, "You pick up your order at the window, you're number 273." I said okay and went to find a table, thinking, I hope I remember my number, since they didn't give me a receipt or anything to show at the order window. Could be chaos if they were busy. But the place was pretty empty on a Tuesday evening, so I figured my number would be the next one called even if I forgot it. Had I gone looking for a seat before placing my order, I might not have stayed. The place was filthy -- food, french fries, napkins, and other disgusting bits all over the floor and most of the tables. It's a bus-your-own-table setup, and they didn't seem to do much to help. I found the least dirty table possible. At the very end of my meal, as I was walking out, a boy came around with a wet rag and wiped off the front part of the booths he could reach without leaning in. It was a gesture at best. As I waited for my food at my dirty table, I thought this place could be really nice if the manager bothered to keep it clean. A few minutes later, my number was called. I went to pick up the food which was in a little plastic basket on a tray. The tray was sopping wet, like they'd just sprayed it down with a hose. The tray was dripping on the counter and the floor, water pooled around the basket. Disgusting. "I ordered a strawberry milkshake," I told the girl behind the counter when I finally got her attention. "Oh, they make that at the other counter -- they'll call your number again." I really don't like getting part of my meal at one counter and part at another counter and waiting between these parts to put my entire meal together. I took my wet tray back to my dirty table, took a couple bites of my burger, and waited to get my drink. A few minutes later, I heard "number 273". So I left my Burger to get cold at my unattended table while I went up to the counter to retrieve my drink. The milkshake was surprisingly good. It had little bits of strawberry fruit in it, which I thought was rather nice. The burger was OK--not great, but honestly, with everything around me being so filthy, I had a hard time accepting that the kitchen might be any cleaner so I admit that my taste buds may have been influenced by the garbage I was seeing around me. It's possible I could be tempted to go back for a frozen custard that I eat in my car (something I rarely do), but I don't think I'd order food there again.

The chicken was alright at first but then I could tell soon enough that it was pretty salty. I didn't care for the additional sauce options. I chose a white balsamic vinaigrette and a garlic aioli which is so much garlic. Customer service was fine they answered all my questions on what everything was. There's no labels or signs that say what the item is. Unless u follow the menu word for word which is not possible when u have to decide faster. Ambiance - this one is my favorite compared to the Tampa and St. Pete location. I do like the variety of items and that they do work with local farms.

Everything from having a gloves directly touching my food (thumbs in my food specifically) to rude and unsimpathetic management, to incorrect charges on my bill. The food is good. Best Mac and cheese ever. Unfortunately energy needs to shift. I'd start with a fresh manager and team and have an owner overseeing this facility more closely. It doesn't live up to the original location in Tampa. Update 6/3/26: came in to give another try. 3 fingers with gloves in my food as I was being served. I told the gentleman and he said "we have gloves on" as he was touching his screen for the order snd counter with the same gloves . Gloves mean nothing. I chose to leave and not eat here. Such a disappointment that they are so careless with cleanliness even after the issue has been ongoing and they have been made aware of it. Also if a customer is not happy with gloves I'm the food, you probably should just offer to replace the bowl and make it right but the employees don't care. *Owners take note* unfortunately your management doesn't care and you won't be aware of this ongoing issue.
