The Rib-Eye, fair marbled as though fashioned by Providence Himself, arrived with a crust of remarkable savour, whilst its centre remained so tender that scarce was there need of knife or strength to part it. Each bite yielded forth rich juices most abundant, filling the mouth with such delight that one might forget the burdens of both Crown and country. Yet, I should commit a grievous injustice were I to neglect mention of those heavenly rolls. Fresh from the oven, warm as a summer's morn, soft as the finest pillow, they did dissolve upon the tongue with singular grace. When adorned with that most divine cinnamon butter, whipped to a cloud-like perfection--they became nothing short of celestial. Verily, I proclaim that an angel's table could scarce boast a finer accompaniment. Should any traveller, nobleman, or weary soul pass by this establishment and fail to partake of these victuals, he hath willingly forsaken one of life's greatest earthly pleasures. I depart with both belly and spirit thoroughly content, and would gladly journey a hundred miles to dine there once more. Thus do I bestow upon this establishment my highest commendation: Five Crowns of Five, with the earnest prayer that its kitchens may forever prosper.

Con: nothing appears to be hand made. I had Philly s cheesesteak which appeared to be made with the frozen steakums and a roll straight out a plastic bag. Fries were also fresh from the freezer. A lot of people are good with this type of food so I hope they continue to serve the community and thrive. I personally can't eat processed foods like that.

While I can't say it's the "best burger in town" (since I have a few more places to try on my burger quest), it was mighty good and definitely worth a repeat! Jacob's new owner, Kelly, personally welcomes customers and comes by with refill offers and to ensure diners enjoy their meals. While a burger repeat is on my list, I'm stoked to also try their Reuben. Kelly claims my spouse and I won't be disappointed.

My wife and I spent an evening at the Marlowe and they were very accommodating as our reservation had fallen out of the system (probably due to my own user error) but as I mentioned they found a table for us and made sure we didn't miss our chance to partake in their phenomenal menu. I had the fall fashion which is their take on an old fashioned and it was terrific and the Rye whiskey played nicely with the amaretto. My wife had some sort of Sicilian wine cocktail that was advertised as brighter and better mimosa and they nailed the description. It was an elevated mimosa that was light, refreshing and bubbly. We started with the wedge salad and potato croquettes. The salad was as phenomenal, the bacon adding the right smoky and savory flavor and the dressings paired well with the fresh crisp lettuce. I was slightly disappointed we didn't have heirloom tomatoes as they were advertised and instead used grape / cherry tomatoes (the menu listing mentioned heirloom and I'm a tomato snob). The Gorgonzola wasn't overpowering and paired really well with the balsamic. The potato croquettes needed a little more seasoning or salt and were somewhat bland but the presentation was terrific and they were cooked perfectly. It might have been the bacon aioli but it just needed a little more zip. For mains my wife went with the Bouillabaisse and asked if she could add a bit of the house made fettuccine to which the chef was very accommodating in making the addition. With wonderful seasoning and an abundant amount of shrimp, scallop, salmon and mussels she couldn't finish her serving. This dish was fragrant and cooked to perfection. I had the filet and it was also amazing. Cooked a perfect medium rare and held amazing flavor. It was a solid and good sized filet that was definitely the star the show. The asparagus was grilled perfectly and seasoned wonderfully. The confit beet was amazing and held terrific flavoring and lended to the beautiful presentation and plating. We really wanted to try the crème brûlée as it looked amazing but we didn't save any room. The service was beyond terrific and Anthony took great care of us from start to finish. We watched the Chef oversee the kitchen and he didn't let a single plate pass through that kitchen without his terrific attention to detail. Overall this restaurant stood out heads and shoulders above other restaurants of similar type and it immediately jumps to the top of the list for fine dining in the Knoxville area. I can't wait to recommend this place to friends and family and this is the first time I wish I could give six stars!

Let's start with the weight staff, they were great, and they got a seated right away, even though we were a few minutes late for our reservation. The food was great, and I mean, that genuinely, my pork chop was very thick, but it was still cooked completely and wasn't dry. My guest had a New York strip cooked well and I will tell you that's a difficult task because her steak was not dry at all. The sides were immaculate. I will say that the marmalade that came with my pork chop was not to my liking, I think it was house made, and it was lacking compared to the marmalade. I grew up with. But that said the cinnamon apples were excellent, the sweet potato was amazing, and my guests fully loaded baked potato was perfect. The ambience is a little bit in industrial, I'll grant you that because it's kind of cookie cutter based on the fact that they have to furnish a number of these restaurants. But let's get real for a moment, the price that we paid was en par for the experience. To use a cliché, don't go to a waffle house and expect cheesecake factory experiences. The same thing can be said for The Chop House. If you come looking for a five star steak house experience, you're setting yourself up for failure. But then again you're not paying for a five star steakhouse experience. Be kind to the staff, they know where they work, and they work very hard to make your experience as pleasant as it possibly can be. So don't be a jerk and enjoy yourself!

I wasn't as impressed with the chicken as I was with the other location's burger. The chicken was fairly tough and chewy and the piece was smaller than the bun it was sitting in, so it was literally tough to eat. The bun and vegetables were fresh though. I loved the onion rings. Best seasoning I've had on fries or onion rings in a long time, and the waitress brought some ranch which helped even more! Because the locations seem consistent, I'll also give the Powell location 4 stars. Great sides, good buns, but not without their faults. Looking forward to trying the fried fish in future.
