When we arrived, there were a few patrons already seated who appeared to be in construction or the like. The staff was upbeat and very chipper for it being 8am (not a bad thing). We were seated in a comfortable booth, but it was rather cold inside. I was happy that I had a sweater in the car. The restaurant was super clean and while the vibes are nostalgic, everything was up to date. The televisions were playing shows in black and white and the playlist was playing older hits. Our waitress let us know that both sides of the menu were available all day (breakfast and lunch). This was perfect for us because Hubs usually prefers breakfast and I am more lunch-leaning. On this day though, I opted for breakfast as well. I had the one-egg breakfast with bacon, wheat toast and fruit. My husband ordered the two-egg breakfast with bacon, french toast and applesauce. Everything came out lickety-split and was what you'd expect from a diner. Simple and sufficient. My husband had 2 cups of coffee. I had water with the good ice (iykyk). Our bill was given to us and the prices were decent. If we were in the area again, we'd definitely return. Sidenote: It was on a Thursday, and our waitress told us that in the evenings, between 4-8pm I believe, they have car shows out in the parking lot. Sounds cool!

It's good to change-up the expected every now and then. I will definitely re-order it again. I;m looking forward to another visit real soon. I haven't tried the Bananas Foster Waffle yet but it looks completely over the top and crazy with a scoop of vanilla ice cream that appeared to me to be the size of a softball as I was hypnotized by it and trapped in its vortex of apparent deliciousness, Sadly it was ordered and delivered to another table. My only nit-pic would be that the chef work on the scrambled eggs a bit more and not too cook them longer, but cook them slower so they come out fluffier, moist, and without any browning on the underside. A chopped up omelet is not scrambled eggs. The eggs were still good but there was room for improvement here. I realize the chef is trying to get food out as quickly as possible, and its easy to let scrambled eggs go too long on the heat, so maybe I'll mention it to the wait staff that the eggs do not need to be hurried. The wait staff was prompt and attentive, and the various style of PJ's were a nice touch. The front of house is kind of big so noise can be an issue but it wasn't terrible on my most recent visit with the dining room about 3/4 full. If the restaurant got enough complaints about the noise levels, it would be pretty easy to fix with some strategically placed sound abatement materials to cut down the noise level even further in the dining room.

Our food came out, and her pancakes were missing, but we were reassured they were coming. We see pancakes coming, but they go to a table that arrived ~15 minutes after us. More pancakes coming, but they went to an another table that came after us. We finish our meal, and no pancakes in sight. Our waitress brings our bil. "Hey my wife had pancakes with her meal and they never came." "Oh I can go see where they are." "We are finished with our meal. We don't really want them." "Oh I can box them up for you." "No thanks. We would rather them just be taken off the bill." "Okay, let me go do that for you." She returns, says they can't be taken off because they are part of a combo. We understand that, but we never received them, nor do we want them as the meal is finished. The only thing I can do is box them up for you. We decline. No other ways to try to reprimand the situation. We pay. She goes up to the counter, starts talking to her friends, and they all look over and start laughing at us. As we are walking out, we are visibly upset. One of the friends goes "have a good day." We don't say anything. "Please come back to see us." We don't say anything. "Hope you come back." This is childish behavior. Ultimately, food was terrible, service was awful, and ambiance was poor. Waffle House would have afforded us better service, more appetizing food, and would have cost half the price.
