This place came highly recommended while we were in town visiting. It's a small place, pretty easy to find with so many ice cream flavor options. The ordering process was pretty chaotic for us at that time we arrived, the staff was super friendly and welcoming but there is no order or organization just have to order freely when you can. The set up and arrangement could definitely use some reorganizing too, it's pretty crammed but they had so many options so I see why there is so little space. The amount of ice cream you get is generous and the flavors were delicious. I tried the oatmeal cream pie and it was really packed with cookie pieces and flavor, they have Reasonable prices as well. We stopped by on the way home from Weeki Wachee Springs and are so glad we did. They were busy, which we took as a great sign, but staff was friendly and we had a comfortable booth to enjoy our ice creams. They had so many flavors to choose from we had a hard time deciding! They were gracious with samples and information to help with our decisions. The ice cream was delicious with great flavor and texture. I have had better rum raisen ice cream flavor. Not bad, just okay. Their chocolate hot fudge syrup was good though.

Stopped in after dinner. It was not too busy all patrons were being served. Got in line and ordered. Ice cream is as wonderful as always but, the store was a train wreck. We gave up dessert for Lent but today Lent is over . After church we had peanut butter overlord for lunch. Maybe not the most nutritious lunch but certainly delicious . Papa Clyde's is always clean and very organized and their staff is very friendly . Many choices , all the usual ones , and many more adventurous flavors. This is one of my favorite ice cream places to go to. They have some great flavors (banana cream pie anyone?!). The only reason it's not a 5 star review is because they don't have as much selection at the Spring Hill Drive location as the one on Mariner Blvd so you never know if they will have what you want. I do like that you can pick up some quarts to go though. Both locations have seating inside and outside. The people working behind the counter are always helpful, patient and friendly. read more

Amazing. First and foremost I need to throw a shout out to Steely (sp?) who is the fabulous ting man that waited on us! Everyone should be fortunate enough to have this young man for an employee! Very polite, personable and accommodating; excellent customer service!! To us, the couple before us, the family of five, and the lady behind us!! I would seriously offer this young man bane for a reference!! Now the ice cream! Yum! Steely very patiently offered us as many samples of the new original flavors as we needed to make an informed decision. Honestly I could have kept going, but I stopped at rainforest! French silk chocolate with cashews choc chips and caramel! I'm cashews in ice cream. To die for. My husband had the Kailua cream. Both were excellent. (Mine was better!) they had a butter beer flavor that tasted exactly like a frozen butter beer from hogsmeade. The praline was also excellent (sampled) and the chocolate fantasy or supreme or something, again omg!! The Twix one as well! I literally could've sampled all day long! The baby wanted chocolate and vanilla and steely graciously accommodated her, splitting her scoop half n half! Can't say enough about the great ice cream and great service! Steely deserves a raise!! You scream, I scream! Good flavor selection, friendly staff and fair prices. I had the Twix ice cream and I was very happy with it. There are a few tables to sit at inside the shop and one table outside. The inside can feel a little closterphobic so we took our tasty treats outside and next door to the souvenir shop, the owner (?) didn't mind that I ate my ice cream while I browsed her store. read more

I'd love to leave a great review about service, menu, atmosphere etc but I found the shop on Yelp it was the closest shop for ice cream. After a bad day I really didn't care about anything else but an ice cream cone that I could enjoy to brighten my day. I opened the door and the case to my left had Blue Moon. Everything else is a blur. I pointed, I said I want and I paid. I devoured my large waffle cone in the car as I drove home and I am blue moon smiles ear to ear!!!!
