Stopped by after seeing manatees at crystal springs. The icecream was so good. We sampled a bunch of flavors and went with apple pie, mint Oreo brownie, strawberry brownie, butter pecan. Delicious flavors, the brownie chunks were so thick and fudgy. Apple pie pieces tasted like real apple pie. If I'm ever in the area I would definitely stop by again. Hands down THE BEST local ice cream spot. Period! This place is unique, creative, and very friendly. Yesterday we had scopes of Phat Elvis, Nutella, and Blueberry Goat Cheese. The quality of ingredients screams at you - like real blueberries and actual goat cheese. Phat Elvis had real bananas! You can see the waffle iron they make the cones with. Shamelessly, we were back today for scopes of Tiramisu and River Mud (coffee ice cream with Oreos). The ice cream selection is mind bending - we also sampled Apple Butter Bacon, Pumpkin Latte, and another Banana one, maybe Cream Pie but we couldn't remember. Gober Pie was calling me, but I passed. Another customer came in looking for Lemon Cookie that was there yesterday, but it was gone. We did leave with a pint of Butterscotch Praline and a pint of Bourbon Chocolate Donut. Usually, I am not a big ice cream parlor guy. I mean, they are delicious and I do enjoy my time being at them whenever I do go, but all I need is the Breyer's sugar-free or no sugar added ice creams, and I will be good to go. However, if I do get ice cream outside of my specific store boughts for macro purposes, I definitely go local. In Spring Hill, my sisters took me to this one local spot called Tipacanoe Creamery. I have to say, the ice cream was really good, but it was the design and ambiance that made this place stand out, well, for me. Tipacanoe Creamery is located in the Weeki Wachi Springs Shopping Center, the northeast corner of the Route-19 and SR-50. If it helps, it is literally across the way from Weeki Wachi Springs. Upon entering the establishment, patrons are greeted with an old-timey feel as if they were in the backcountry of newly discovered foraging America. Cabin wood seems to be the overall ambiance Tipacanoe Creamery (which I will shorthand to Tipacanoe for the remainder of this review). Mix in some hipster lighting and you got a unique setting to enjoy your ice cream. Patrons had three size choices for basic scoops of ice cream: one for small, two for medium, three for large. You can mix-and-match flavors with each scoop, too. There were some specialty dessert items like their version of a banana split, but I wanted to try the ice cream straight up, first. I will be back because I have family that lives nearby. Overall, the ice cream was good, but it did not stand out from other flavors I had. Even their "unique" flavors, though good, were not too unique compared to other places (Sampaguita in Orlando comes to mind). However, the service and ambiance is what makes up for it. The place was packed and the line was long BUT the service was decently quick (I give some grace for new places) and there seemed to be enough seating compared to the customers who stayed to those who left after getting their ice cream. On a sidenote, the restrooms were clean and that is a big deal for me, too. Ultimately, I give Tipacanoe a four out of five stars for their outstanding initial performance on this initial outing. The ice cream doesn't stand out, but is still good, the service was decently quick for a new place, and the ambiance was cool to take in along with enough seating being available. This is the cutest quaint ice cream shop in Spring Hill conveniently located off US 19. The ambiance is darling - they take pride in Weeki Wachee (hence the name). New ice cream joint in my area? Of course we had to give it a try! We were not disappointed! Dare I say, this might have been the best ice cream we have ever had. Let's start from the beginning. Upon entering we were immediately given a greeting even though they were busy. They kept the line moving fast though so we did not have to wait at all. The workers here (3 of them) were all extremely nice and courteous! The location itself was very clean and open spaced. A few tables with chairs for eating inside. Yes, you can sample the ice cream but I took the workers suggestion and went in blind with the Gator Track while my family had the Cookie Monster and We Boobies (breast cancer awareness flavor). I love sweet but everything usually feels overly sweet after a few bites. Not here! Sweet but also kinda refreshing, extremely well made! We are so excited to make many visits back here! read more

My son and I were visiting from out of state and in search of some ice cream. We hit the jackpot when we found this place. Upon walking in you can smell the delicious scent of freshly made waffle cones. We were immediately greeted by welcoming and friendly staff. We were able to sample any flavors we were interested in. We both ordered a cup of ice cream that was so yummy! The owner had mentioned there would be a few new flavors the next day so of course we had to come back for more! There were 28 (!!) flavors and every single one we tried was amazing. I'm usually a mint chocolate chip girly, but the maple bacon may have changed all of that. After dinner at Longhorn we all decided to go and try Tipacanoe Creamery for the first time. I am diabetic so I usually avoid sweets but my two companions enjoy an after dinner ice dream once in awhile. They are cheap so we usually find ourselves at Sam's Club for the 1.60 sundae. Since I believe in supporting local, I convinced them to give this place a try-And I agreed to buy! They each had a hot fudge sundae with sweetened whipped cream and a cherry on top. One had it with chocolate ice cream and the other with chocolate peanut butter. Both were happy with their treat! I opted for a single no-sugar strawberry in a waffle cone. I could only eat a small amount before getting full. All three of us were extremely happy with the product, the friendly staff and the clean establishment. We look forward to going again. read more
