If the name of the game is feeling full without spending too much money for lunch or dinner, then Paotsin at the Landmark food court is your best bet. This kiosk has saved me countless of times, usually when I forgot my wallet at home or when it's hanging by a thread in-between paydays.
This may not be the ideal last-resort food stand, particularly if you don't dig steamed or fried siomai, because nutrition-wise there's really not much value in their meals. But if you're really hungry that your legs feel weak and you only have a hundred pesos in your pockets and nothing more, then Paotsin is your salvation.
For less than a hundred bucks at Paotsin, you can get 4-pieces of wanton or dumpling (average price of around PHP 35.00) and a huge serving of rice (another PHP 45.00). You even get to choose between hainanese (green) and lemak rice. Their dumplings are good too and they come in many variants from pork to scallop. There's also shark's fin dumpling which I never order because I don't want sharks to go extinct (although for thirty pesos, I doubt if there's real shark fin in it.). read more
