I Remember eating at this brand almost every Sunday. Fortunately, the quality of their cooking has not change. It is still delicious as I remembered. Their squid with special sauce is nostalgic. Crispy squid swimming in a sweet soy sauce with coriander still amazes me. Now, I find new favorites here like Spinach with Two Eggs, Boiled Dumplings, and Oyster Omelette. Even their noodle soups have been innovated. Today, I tried Hot and Sour Noodle Soup. An up-ed hot and sour soup with their signature noodles. Their soup tasted better than many Chinese restaurants. No wonder this restaurant is always full. It has catered and loved by both Chinese and Filipinos alike. Truly, a restaurant here to stay.

The fried cuttlefish is breaded and well seasoned. It's delicious. The place is clean and well lighted. It's located inside the newly renovated Unimart In Greenhills Shopping Center, San Juan City, Philippines. Servers are courteous and helpful. But, they forgot to take out from our bill the Fried Prawns with pepper, P398.00. We ordered it earlier from their Menu, but the prawns were missing from their kitchen. Joke only, they don't have prawns today. TIP: Make sure you double chk your bill before you pay. They were able to reimburse us the P398

They are known for their noodles, dimsum, and rice dishes. Though they have renovated the place and refreshed the menu, the prices have gone up a bit. Actually, the one dish that I always order here is their Congee with Pork and Century Egg. Their congee is the old school type where they drop a raw egg before serving. The egg is cooked because of the heat of the congee which makes the congee extra thick and tasty. However, recently, the congee isn't as good as before. Plus, it is more expensive now. :( Dimsum is still very good. Rice meals are more varied now. Again, it's a little expensive for everyday Chinese meals.

I invited my mom to have a dinner date with me because she's been living in Hong Kong for many years, and she absolutely loves Chinese food! Before you even enter the restaurant, you can really see how well they've decorated the restaurant! From the entrance, to the ceilings, walls, tables, absolutely everything! They serve the usual Chinese food, like siomai, Hakaw, Pork Buns, and the like.. But they've also got unique dishes I've never heard of or seen anywhere else like their Northern Style Lamb Dumplings, and their Minced Lamb wrapped in Pancake with leeks (this dish was delish!) We ordered a lot of food like the Smoked Duck Breast in Hoisin Wrap! I love duck and this dish is so good and contains a lot of vegetables! Their chicken dishes are also quite known to those who have tried them because of how good they are... I especially LOVE their sweet and sour chicken and their Honey Sesame Crispy chicken too!

Opting for a quick bite, we had pork and chive dumplings which were a tad bit small but big in size. Love the hint of star anise in its filling and black vinegar dipping sauce that came with it (I usually request for black vinegar at other dimsum places). On the other hand, the beef Hofan was pretty good and textbook stir fry- good balance of flavor and textures. Both dishes came too oily but that's synonymous with Chinese comfort food!

He makes sure that his staff is efficient and he remembers those who eat there often. Quality control is something they value which is why his staff is so well trained and their food does not disappoint. I have yet to try the other branches of King Bee but this is the one branch i can definitely vouch for. Our favorite dishes such as Sweet Sour Pork, Tausi Fish Fillet, dimsum, and yang chow are all pretty good but make sure you try the sotanghon crab.

I never gave this restaurant the time of day before because I was satisfied with my go-to Chinese place. But a friend invited us there for dinner and of course we obliged. We ordered the usual items on the menu: Dimsum Platter, Yang Chow Fried Rice, Noodles, Lemon Chicken, Lechon Macau. As expected, everything was superb. The service was fantastic; we were given a nice spot as soon as we stepped inside their restaurant. The food was quick and served hot. The waiters were very attentive; they refilled our glasses often (it doesn't matter if it's bottomless iced tea or water) and are quick to approach us when we called them. There was nothing extra special or different about this place. But because of the excellent service, we would definitely be back here when we find ourselves in Festival Mall.
