I've been weaned by my parents on Chinese food--we look it, but we aren't Chinese--and I've come to appreciate how a good, proper Chinese restaurant is a no-nonsense establishment. Just give the code of your order from the menu to your waitress, they'll make the food all proper and send it to you, no problem.
I've eaten at a North Park on many an occasion, and I would say that their food is all good, delicious even. Really I'm just good with a three kinds of mushroom soup with herb noodles (or just a nice, proper bola-bola congee) and a cold, fresh lemonade, and North Park does them great. It's all quite affordable too.
What's I find awesome about this North Park is that they stay open til late, which is great if you're looking for a bite in the area but don't want to settle for fast food.
It's been my experience here though that the food comes a little slower than I would expect. Maybe it's because I've always eaten with a big group? And it gets a bit hard to catch the attention of the waitstaff too. Still, for a good, solid meal, I'd come back to North Park. read more
