SM has really been upping up the ante in terms of experience and abundance of choice for its customers. I was recently at the food court area of SM Makati and I was quite taken with the way the area was designed. This was definitely not the SM food court of my childhood in the 90s.
After surveying the food options, I zeroed in on an interesting food concept - Dipping Dumpling. The idea is to choose any sort of dumpling from a range of options and to choose a dip to go along with the dumplings. The dumpling choices ranged from the normal, which are the usual Pork Dumplings, Sharks Fin, Shrimp Wantons to the more uncommon ones like Scallop Wanton, Crab Wanton, Prawn Puff, Squid Wanton and so much more. For the dipping sauces, there were Szechuan Chili, Sweet Miso, Spicy Peanut, Curry Sate and Sesame Soy. There were so many choices that I actually had a hard time choosing! Eventually, I got the Scallop Wanton with the Szechuan Chili dip and it was delish! And the whole thing cost less than a hundred pesos! I am definitely going back to this food court gem in the future. read more
