Discovered Tasty when I started working decades ago. This is a hidden gem... not well known compared to other restaurants. Favorite among the
locals. Located beside Binondo Church.
I always order the Fried Pork Cho Rice. It comes with a huge, tenderized, thin, and breaded pork chop with plain rice. The outside is crispy and well seasoned. Yummy! Do not miss the sauce! It's on the table (look like soy sauce but it's not) that goes very well with it. It also comes with a bowl of soup. I have ordered the dumplings before... they are good. You have the option of having it steamed or pan fried.
I also always order the winter melon juice. Not sure how to describe the taste but it's a sweet and refreshing drink esp when it's hot outside.
Staff is pretty efficient. Once seated, they will give the menu for you to look at and come back (or wave them over) to place your order. Decor is basic... more like a hole in the wall restaurant.
Check them out when you are in the area. read more
