Hap Chan is like heaven for a tipsy, drunk, hung over, or sober person who has just had a night out. Chinese food galore in this joint and it never fails to disappoint whether you are drunk or sober! The menu is consistent, affordable, and good value for money. They have a decent food menu with my usual favorites like Shrimp Siomai, Hakaw, Machang, Asado Siopao, and the Beancurd Roll. The congees, noodles soup, are always great for sobering up or curing a flu or hang over. Short order favorites like the Crispy Fried Stuffed Eggplant, Patatim with cuapao, Hap Chan Crispy Fried Chicken, Sauteed Beef with Broccoli Flower, Hot Shrimp Salad, and the Sweet and Sour Fish Fillet are delectable, filling, and have decent portioning. Fu-Jian fried rice and the birthday noodles are great too! Read the menu carefully and be strategic about what you order because if you're anything like me, I always over order and end up with loads of Chinese take out to eat for the whole week! Good place for some decent and consistently done Chinese food. Loud ambiance when its busy but thats just the norm in Manila or any decent Chinese restaurant! read more
