I came here this past Sunday. Unfortunately, my friends and I couldn't get any of the tennis courts since there wasn't any space. We did come during noon so that's when everyone wants to go to the park. I'm so glad I discovered this park through my friends. I decided to come and they have a nice and easy hiking trail which you can finish within 30 mins. I love that this park has a bit of everything for those who are active. They have the basic amenities that a normal park has including a walking path, basketball and tennis courts. I love how they offer a small dog park that leads straight to the trail. read more

I like this one in particular due to the amount of parking space is available and the large walking trail and they have several fields available for soccer baseball and softball. This park is my childhood. Back in high school, I played pickup ball here with the boys just about every night, went to Wendy's for a frosty and double stack, then watched Sportscenter til 2 am. Honestly, coming back as an adult, the park is pretty much the same. It has huge open spaces, a bunch of very well maintained, well-lit basketball courts, a baseball diamond, and is actually where Diamond Bar City hosts it's annual snow day. It's great for hosting events, great for soccer or baseball, and some of the best park basketball courts (if not the best) in the city. Apparently, there are also hiking trails and tennis courts that I haven't explored yet... there you go. I will note that this park, aside from snow day which is pretty great, has a pretty simple playground compared to some of the newer ones in the area, but it's got a lot of shade and the bathrooms are nice. One of my favorite parks in the area by far, maybe partially due to nostalgia, but it is objectively pretty great. read more

Love this park! The restrooms are always clean, lots of parking spots. The playground is decent and there's lots of space for the kids to just run around. This is an amazing park, I've been twice for my puppy who enjoys the dog area. There are 2 dog areas one for big dogs and one for small dogs with shaded seating. The park is kept clean however there is nothing in the dog park but wood chips. If they added any features to the dog park I would change my review to 5 stars. Also be careful we saw a massive rattlesnake and kept our distance. read more

Great park with lots of parking! They have a nice little hike by the dog park area. I would say it is about a 1 mile loop. The dog park is a bonus! AM crowd is a lot more friendly, kind, mindful of others. Were as the PM dog park crowd, they have the "let dogs do dogs thing and figure their energy out" attitude. I tried giving the PM a couple of chances but they owners seems to not care when their dogs get too aggressive or hover over a certain dog. They don't pay attention and rather let their dog continue that behavior. The hike has a few people hiking but it isn't as popular as Sycamore Canyon park. I enjoy coming here because I can let my dog roam freely without having to worry to much. read more

I can't believe I never left a review of this park. It's been the best kept secret through coronavirus times. Never closed (just fenced off the field). My son learned to ride his bicycle without training wheels here so its very special to us. First off the park is large with a bunch of different areas. Its family oriented and low key. Lots of families with young kids and people walking their dogs. More of a quiet neighborhood park. So please don't bring your motorized mini motorcycles and ride them on the sidewalk - its just not appropriate. I can't say the park is a five since there are truly no wow factors but if you are nearby definitely a good go-to place to relax. There's a playground area (I'll attach photos pre-covid) but the equipment is currently blocked off. There are tables next to it for lunching and I've seen families there but it seems a little shaded and not very happy bright to me. There are baseball fields and a huge open grassy area. I believe the sidewalk surrounding the entire park is about a mile. There is a basketball court with a bunch of hoops but they actually took down the hoops and only have the backboards at this time. Behind the basketball court, you can walk up and hit a small hiking trail to the left. Totally doable. Not an intense walk at all. There are also two dog parks if you walk up to the right and straight back further. The one to the right is for smaller dogs and the one further back is for larger dogs and looks like they have some fun equipment for tricks. Sorry I don't have a dog (yet hopefully) so my dog lingo is awkward. Oh there are also two tennis courts to the right of the basketball court. I've also seen couples bring a blanket and picnic on the grass. The main field is closed but there are little grassy areas on the outskirts. Nice neighborhood park but sssshhhh don't tell all and suddenly draw a crowd. read more

This is a very nice parked tucked away in a neighborhood atop a hill. We discovered it quite be accident when we visited a friend in Diamond Bar. After seeing a directional sign to the park, we decided to check it out. We had a nice lunch of cold roast chicken and caesar salad. You got a spacious park here 2 baseball basketball court. Tennis court has two. Picnic table in front and a patio cover on the one located in the back. A walking trail and dog park. My go-to spot for outdoor Basketball. Actually my go-to spot for Basketball in general. Now the whole park is very well kept and this includes the basketball courts. It is hidden in the communities of Diamond Bar pretty much like Narnia, but there will be signs directing you all the way. The courts are the nicest outdoor courts I have had the pleasure of playing on. There are ALWAYS fresh nets, and the surface is redone.. like every year it seems (my picture shows one of these times). The courts are so clean you can eat food off of them (not recommended). There is really no complaints you can have about these awesome courts. There are 3 full courts, and they are all very well lit until 10 pm at night. I just love coming here in general. Although fair warning it can get a little crowded on weekdays even with the 3 courts. There is practice for young kids on one of the courts usually. However when I come on the weekends it's pretty easy to catch a game or twelve. Parking is easy and plentiful. As for other aspects of the park, tennis courts are lit, walking paths are kept clean. Doggy bags are provided throughout the park and there is an AMAZING dog park. read more

Probably one of my go to places to play basketball. At Pantera, there three full courts, with the skill level of the middle court usually being the highest (and probably the most aggressive) If you're just a casual hooper, I'd suggest just playing at the first or third court, usually it doesn't get as tense there. In addition, I definitely would watch over your stuff or put it with a person you trust, there's a decent amount of thieves that target pantera. All in all, Pantera is a solid place to play basketball, just keep your head up and be aware of your surroundings. read more

I usually never play basketball outdoors because of 2 things: 1. The courts sucks. Usually rims are bent, nets are missing, and the court itself is not leveled. Light are usually not bright enough for night time balling. 2. Ruins my shoes. Now that I have pretty worn out shoes, I am open to playing outdoors. This park is pretty far from my house but the basketball courts are one of the betters ones I've played on. 3 complete full basketball courts with great rims and nets, great lighting for when the sun sets and plenty of parking. There is also a pretty nice dog park and I see tons of people with their dogs. read more

Wow, I love this place! It's so clean and spacious for a park! This park is definitely dog friendly because I see a lot of people bring their dogs here. I think there is even a dog park right next to it. There are two playground sets so your kids will have something to play on when they come. There are picnic tables and a restroom. The restroom isn't the cleanest, but most parks don't have clean bathrooms anyway. This is a great place to get some exercise in. It's right in the middle of a residential area so unless you don't follow the signs, it's a little hard to find at first. read more

I chose Pantera Park to walk off my lunch. I heard there is a little trail here so I came to try it out. The trail is just past the basketball and tennis courts. There is not really much of a hike, but the climb is very steep and coming down is sorta dangerous if your shoes don't have good traction. The slipperiest part has chain railing on the side you can hold on to, so use it! Once at the top, there are few benches and there are some cool views of Chino Hills area and San Dimas area among others. If you choose to continue your hike, take the left trail. The right trail just leads to the water tanks but the left one goes quite a bit over the hills towards some residential area. We didn't go all the way to see where it actually ends. When it comes to the quality of the facilities Pantera Park's are pretty top notch. This review is for the basketball courts, but the facility as a whole is home to Diamond Bar's Annual Party and home to many of the sports leagues the city operates. The basketball courts here, three in total are well kept and clean. Hoops are always with nets and repairs are done on the courts as needed. As I alluded to, the courts are often used for city functions, namely basketball practices for the youth league the city operates. Thus, most weeknights up to two of the courts will be taken for practices in the winter months. If you are looking to just shoot around come in the mornings, for pick up games Sunday through Thursday nights are your best bet. The wait can get long in the summer months as students are off school. You never really know what type of person you'll find playing at Pantera. The players range from diehard players to those who are just looking to kill some time. There are certain groups who only play half court, and others who will only play when there is a full court game. If you're a super competitive person and take your pick up games seriously, come here with caution and a grain of salt. read more

We came here this past weekend for the city of Diamond Bar's 25th birthday celebration. While a bit out of the way (and parking was shot... we ended up parking quite a few blocks away and being shuttled in), I was impressed with Pantera Park. Pretty large park, with plenty of sports fields - even though it doesn't have the duck pond that Gentle Springs Park in nearby Chino has, Pantera is still a pleasant park to go to. Plus is it me, or does the weather feel cooler here? Be that as it may, we look forward to future visits (especially as there's a BBQ area here - I can see myself cooking a barbecue for my lady over the summer)! read more

Grass is well taken care of so no need to look out for major holes that can do damage. Ample parking! Tennis courts were cool. Pantera Park is one of the larger parks in Diamond Bar. Countless events, such as the Winter Snowfest and the Diamond Bar Birthday Celebration, take place here throughout the year, and for several reasons. 1) Its location is based a bit more within the neighborhood, thus making it easy to access by foot for a good amount of people (myself included). 2) The track surrounding the grassy areas of the park is quite large, ranging to nearly a mile when you walk around the whole thing. That means that the grassy area itself is huge, with a baseball diamond near the center as well as room for soccer. 3) There's tons of stuff here! 2 baseball diamonds 2 tennis courts 3 basketball courts 2 soccer fields 2 play areas for young ones picnic tables BBQ grills available restrooms tons of parking meeting rooms It's no wonder why this park is always filled up with people! If you live in Diamond Bar or a neighboring area, I definitely suggest giving this park a visit. During the nighttime, especially in the summer, people are always here exercising and having fun! Also, if you're the more adventurous type, there's a hiking trail on a small hill behind the park. It's not too difficult to go through. You can see some beautiful views of the city on the top. The trail is also an ideal romantic spot, especially for viewing sunsets! :) I'm so glad that this park is only a small walk away! read more

Up thar' in them thar' hills, Diamond Bar's to be exact, lies a kick ass, hidden gym of a multi-purpose park. I "discovered" it when my daughter's soccer team held its practice there this past Monday. Even though California is nowhere near New York City in terms of lack of park space, it's always good to find a park with plenty to offer here in SoCal. Here is what this park has to offer: (1) A Dog park, apparently separated into BIG DOG and small dog areas. Has those blue poop picker upper baggies that smell like baby powder. (2) Two play areas, separated by smaller children and older children areas (3) Tennis courts, basketball courts, baseball diamonds and a big grassy area. (4) A .42 mile, cemented walkway around the park with light poles that come on when it gets dark. (5) Somewhat cleaner restrooms. Cleaner compared to other parks I've been to. To make a long story short, this park has a little bit of everything for everyone, so there's no reason why anyone should say they are bored at the park! read more

The wood chip surface seemed odd at first, and my dog kept getting chips into his mouth when getting his toy, but it seemed very clean (no poop). Good for dogs!!! Has a large side walk that laps the entire park from the basketball courts to the swing sets!!! Has 3 full basketball courts with lights that turn off at 10 pm. 2 large tennis court areas and even dog training area. Large grass area for soccer or baseball and a swing set and kids play ground! This park has it all! Even has complimentary dog doodoo bags so that you don't have to bring your own! Cops patrol this area regularly!! This is such a nice, neighborhood park and it has a dog park. It's very clean, and hidden. It's definitely well used by the local residents. And apparently rats too!! Keep an eye out for them in the early morning and you can see them scurry back and forth along the pathway. read more

I remember when this park was first opened. Before this, I could only go down to Summitridge Park (when they actually were a park and before they built that big recreation facility). Pantera was even closer and has even more stuff. Good job Diamond Bar. Lots of parking. Tennis courts. Basketball courts. Baseball field. Playground and swings. Decently clean bathrooms. Just the right amount of pathed pathways, one of which runs the circumference (which runners take, I'm going to estimate 1 mile). Just don't go too late at night after the park closes, you might be questioned by the police for suspicious activities even all you're doing is just talking with friends. read more
