No one could help, not the hardware, auto or even electric dealers. So I went online, found the pigtail I needed, took it to them and they were able to wire it for me. They were extremely patient, kind and helped me when no one else seemed to be able to. Not only that....they did the wiring of the pigtail for free, including the materials. Great shop. Family business. Been in business since 1950, originally a service shop/gas station. Now car audio as I've known my whole life. I usually do my own work but not this time round. I wanted to take my car somewhere where I felt comfortable. These guys do clean, pro grade work. Took my Mercedes in for a blown factory speaker, a small amp and sub install. Their installs are very well thought out, put together, and very nice. Wiring if you didn't know what you were looking at, you wouldn't even know they added it cause it looks factory. Tried to support a local businesses instead of just going to a big box store like Best Buy when I was gifted a new stereo system for my birthday and needed it installed. I called and talked to a woman on the phone and (like many others have stated in other reviews) she was rude and very plainly blew me off because I didn't purchase my equipment there. She literally said she wasn't interested in doing the work and said I'd be waiting months because they were "busy with their own stuff". I get it's not a huge job but as a small business owner myself I would never talk to a potential client like that. The lady who answered was very rude. I was looking to get a new amp and wiring done on my Harley. She said they don't have any amps and it wasn't worth their time if I brought in my own amp. I guess my project wasn't big enough for them. Not helpful at all. So when is installation which is basically pure labor for say 2 or 3 hours not worth it. I'll be going to Bagger Audio in San Jose. Probably an extra 25 minutes to get there but they were more than willing to help me read more

WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY! Took my car into Pantell's to have a stereo unit installed with a backup camera. Pantell's installed a bypass on the stereo. When I picked up the car everything seemed fine but when I would put my car into park my speakers would make a loud popping noise and the volume would turn up extremely loud. Thanks to this power surge it blew my rear tail light! I called Pantell's and they said to bring my vehicle back down to them so they could look at it. When I dropped the vehicle off I showed them what the speakers were doing when I put the vehicle into park. Pantell's said they took out my new stereo unit and put a unit of their own in and they could not duplicate the popping noise or volume issue. Of course they didn't...I smell a scam! Pantell's told me that they looked over the entire install again and couldn't find the issue and said that it was my unit causing the issue. The owner Keith blamed the stereo and kept trying to sell me one of his store stereos. Pantell's charged me $45 for that service and to remove the bypass. REALLY! When I got home I tried to duplicate the popping/noise issue and I couldn't! Coincidence, I think not! It was the bypass causing the issue but Pantell's didn't want to take accountability for it and kept telling me that it was my unit. I also realized my blue tooth microphone was not working (which it was working perfectly fine after I picked my car up the first time). I called Pantell's and they said that the blue tooth microphone was working fine when they checked it out. The guy even told me they called the shops number to make sure it was working. Righttttt!!!! I brought my car to a third party to have them look at the stereo and they said Pantell's did not hook up the microphone wire for the blue tooth! So if Pantell's checked the blue tooth microphone before I picked the car up how were they able to make a call if the blue tooth microphone was not hooked up...riddle me this!!! So not only did I have to pay for a new break light, I had to pay more money for the 2nd check by Pantell's and removal of the bypass, pay a third party to re-check/fix it all. Pantell's tried to dupe me into buying one of their own units by saying my unit was causing the issue and their unit worked perfectly fine...Shady!!! Do not waste your time or money on this place. read more

Just wanted to write a review (and give KUDOS) to Tyler who works here. First of all, this is well established business (I came here with my dad when I was a kid).. and they definitely have a great reputation. I recently had an issue where my truck kept bleeding voltage somewhere in the system and I was going through batteries every two or three weeks (battery would be completely dead). I couldn't figure out what was happening but I knew my truck had a major issue that needed to be resolved. I brought my truck here and had a stereo system installed (great job, by the way) and I mentioned to Tyler the problem I was experiencing. He initially didn't see any issues but asked if I could leave the truck with them overnight. Tyler was able to find the source of the voltage problem (alarm system issue) and resolved the problem for me. Now, I don't have any further battery issues and the truck runs perfectly. Tyler didn't have to figure this out for me.. but he went the extra mile and provided excellent customer service. Thanks again! read more

I called on a Tuesday and spoke with Tyler who gave me a preliminary idea of what I would be looking at cost wise and for install time. I had a sound system put in about three weeks ago. I waited for 3 weeks to post a review to see if anything would go wrong and so far so good. Ralph, the owner is very knowledgeable about music. We talked and figured out a sound system that would be good for me in my 2015 crew cab Chevy. Ralph and his brothers installed two 12" kickers underneath my back seat, new tweeters in the dash and a 4 channel 600watt Apline to run the whole system. The bass shacks my truck sometimes. The craftsmanship is good and you cant even tell I have a sound system in it. The whole job is VERY CLEAN and the price is very reasonable. What's the restocking charge? (Best Buy?) How many of the retailers installations have been featured regularly in the national Hot Rod magazines? Get your system at Pantell's and have them install it. Family owned for 60 years, regular attendees of the Vegas CES show, And they'll build you a kick ass system that won't break the bank. And most importantly, they back what they sell and install.
