Came here Sunday noontime, the place is not too busy, The food is ok and nothing to brag about One thing is for sure, it is very pricey, I ordered for croquettes with soda it cost me almost 9 Euros, and have to pay 30 cents Euro for the ice, one of tge employees is rude as I've asked for a cup of ice for my soda, she told me to line up again , I said I just wanted a cup of ice and already bought my other orders, she just gave me a cup, I said I wanted ice, with rude attitude she said 30 cents Euro, which I willingly paid and only then she handed me the cup with ice. First visit to Spain and first stop for lunch, which had to be a pastry shop. It is located across street from the famous Sagrada Familia Basilica. Empanadillas (small empanadas) were delicious, especially with glass of rioja wine. I had the beef, tuna and cheese. I liked beef best and swas not fan of the cheese. He trabajado en Pannus y quiero que la gente conozca lo que realmente ocurre detrás de sus locales. Entré a trabajar un solo día y me hicieron trabajar 8 horas seguidas sin descanso. Cuando pregunté por mi descanso, me dijeron que no había. Les dije que eso era ilegal y, como respuesta, me despidieron. Al firmar el finiquito, le comenté a la chica de recursos humanos que deberían sentir vergüenza por explotar así a la gente en pleno 2025, y ella, en vez de dar una respuesta, bajó la cabeza y no dijo nada. Esa imagen lo dice todo. Una compañera me contó que no puede dejar el trabajo porque tiene dos bebés que mantener, y que todos en la empresa están igual: te piden trabajar 6 días a la semana, 8 horas al día, sin descanso, y eso ocurre en todas las Pannus que visité en Barcelona. Es una vergüenza. Además, aunque firmas un contrato de 40 horas, terminas trabajando 48 horas semanales, regalando 8 horas a la empresa. Quiero que la gente sepa que, al comprar en Pannus, está financiando la explotación de trabajadores. Muchos aceptan estas condiciones por ignorancia o necesidad, pero eso no las hace menos inhumanas. Es hora de abrir los ojos: ninguna empresa debería seguir funcionando así en 2025. I worked at Pannus, and I want people to know what really happens behind the scenes. I worked there for just one day, and they made me work 8 hours straight with no break. When I asked about my break, they told me there was none. I told them that was illegal, and in response, they fired me. When I signed my termination papers, I told the HR woman they should feel ashamed for exploiting people like this in 2025. She just looked down and said nothing. That image says it all. A co-worker told me she can't leave because she has two babies to support, and everyone in the company is in the same situation: they make you work 6 days a week, 8 hours a day, with no legal breaks. This happens in every Pannus I visited in Barcelona. It's a disgrace. Also, even though they make you sign a contract for 40 hours, you actually end up working 48 hours a week, giving 8 hours for free to the company. I want people to know that by buying at Pannus, they are funding the exploitation of workers. Many people accept these conditions out of ignorance or necessity, but that doesn't make it any less inhumane. It's time to wake up: no company should still operate like this in 2025. read more

BARCELONA SPAIN - This is a cool little cafe across the street from Sagrada Familia. We tried going to the 9am mass on 12/05/21. It was chilly & super windy. We lined up outside waiting in line for almost an hour but unfortunately we weren't able to get in. We had about 3hrs to kill until our time came to enter Sagrada Familia based on the ticket time we purchased so we went to grab some coffee, breakfast & pastries. Evidently other people had the same idea. The line was out the door. I waited in line while my wife grabbed a seat. It was pretty dam chilly & very windy outside, not Chicago cold but a biting chilly wind. As had been our custom everyday we got a cup cafe con leche w/our breakfast. I also ordered a couple of panini sandwiches & of course some chocolate croissants. We weren't in any rush so we were finally able to enjoy a leisurely breakfast. read more

Right across from Sagardia Familia. Yes its touristy but... their bread and other baked goods are delicious! Prices are right too and they have good coffee. Staff speaks english and you can sit inside or outside. Recommend. read more

This was the worst experience I've ever had with customer service in Europe. The male balding server had us waiting 15 minutes in line as he and his coworkers were doing menial tasks while grabbing his attention. The food was dry, the drinks were warm despite sitting in an open freezer, and I watched as they sprayed cleaning liquids onto the window, which 50% of the trajectory of the spray landed on the food right next to it. Very conveniently located next to La Sagrada Familia. Onsite bakery with fresh donuts, croissants, sandwiches, bread, and coffee that comes in large sizes. It's find to find a coffee place around that serves a coffee that takes more than two sips to finish. Definitely a rare find in Barcelona. We needed some fast breakfast and ended up at Pannus. We ordered classic food like coffee and baguette. The quality is ok and the prize aswell. You pay a bit more than in other places. The service was fast but not really talkative. At least this is a classic bakery franchise. read more
