I found Granier one morning after visiting La Sagrada Familia and had a pleasant and relaxing breakfast there. Though they have limited outside seating, if you can grab one on a warm day, it is a perfect start to a morning in Barcelona. The staff there was very friendly, the pastries were delicious, and they made a solid cappuccino.
For those of you who enjoy Chinese bolo bao (pineapple buns) they have a Spanish version that looks identical but tastes very different. I always found the Chinese version to be a bit of a misnomer given the minimal pineapple flavor. This Spanish version, on the other hand, was rich with pineapple flavor. It was different, but really delicious!
I also noticed Granier is a chain within Barcelona (not sure if it extends beyond Barcelona) so there are multiple sites in the city if you want to try it. read more
