I tried their grilled vegetable with tofu and burrata appetizer. Both of them were amazing. The grilled vegetable with tofu had the perfect Brussels sprouts I have ever had and they had a nice crispy texture and the tofu was nice and firm. Buratta came with sundries tomatoes and it made it so much better. The bread that came with it was nice and soft while crispy on the outside. read more

I ate a late lunch here on Saturday and I'm still craving the pistachio pizza ($16). It was the perfect combination of basil, honey, cheese and a pistachio puree. YUM! I'm kicking myself for not buying one to bring back to my St. Louis freezer. My husband and I split the pizza and kale and arugula salad ($7) which was served in a small metal bowl. Why only four stars for delicious food and friendly service? First, I was freezing the entire time. I ate with my winter coat on the entire meal! Not fun. We even sat as far away from the front door as possible. Second, we weren't given fresh plates for our pizza. Also, I wanted to try an appetizer but was deterred when I saw they started at $9 and most of the options were ~$15. I was hoping for more thai food. A great meal, I was solo so wasn't able to indulge in more but would have loved to try the charcuterie board. We stopped at Pangea on April 2, 2022 for a late dinner (after 7pm). We ordered the drunken noodles, margherita pizza, wings special and the 4-square pan pizza. My husband asked how long the 4-square would take and if it would take longer to cook than the other entrees. The order taker confirmed that the 4-square takes a bit longer and confirmed that the other orders would likely come out first. My husband said he would go ahead and order both the wings and 4-square, mentioning that he could have the wings as an appetizer while the others in our party had our entrees, and he could dig into the 4-square whenever it was brought out. Our food was brought out and everything was excellent. The manager stopped by our table to see how everything was. My husband mentioned he was just waiting for his 4-square but otherwise everything had been great so far. A few minutes later, the manager returned to our table and explained that we actually had NOT ordered the 4-square. The order ticket only showed we had ordered the wings, drunken noodles and margherita pizza. The manager immediately offered to correct this and said they'd get right to work on baking that pizza, no charge to us. This kind gesture was unexpected - we assumed the order taker had gotten confused about what my husband wanted. We were certainly willing to pay for the food we wanted. Instead, my husband got his 4-square on the house and we had a very enjoyable evening overall. We got the tiramisu gelato to wrap things up. Food is delicious and freshly prepared. My favorite restaurant in Evansville. Great pizza, both neapolitan and Detroit style. Of their Thai dishes I've only had the pork kao soi which was authentic and delicious! A slice of the gelato cake is good for 2-3 servings and is super good. Kept well in the freezer too. read more

I was ready to cut Pangea some slack since it is so new, but it turned out they didn't need any. Exceeded all expectations! First, set-up: A hostess at the door is very helpful and can give menu guidance. You order at the counter and seat yourself. The kitchen is all behind the counter and is open and expansive, providing plenty of room to show off the huge pizza oven and tons of fresh ingredients. There's also a separate desert/coffee counter. (More about that in a minute.) The menu isn't so much big as it is *varied.* Authentic pizza is the majority but there are also Thai dishes, a meatball selection, sandwiches, a rotisserie of the day, and salads. Plenty of vegetarian options! My friend and I, at the hostess's suggestion, split a Sicilian Margherita pizza and a kale and arugula salad. It came out FAST. Like crazy fast. It was fresh and delish - the perfect amount of food for a light lunch so we had room for dessert! If you're a fan of Pizza Revolution, this is a similar style and gives it a run for its money. Prices are very reasonable - splitting the pizza/salad brought the total to $9 a person. The restaurant is stupid beautiful, from the design to the copper accents. Just gorgeous but also casual and comfy. Service, from the helpful hostess, cashier who had no problems splitting our check, to the owner coming and checking on us, was perfect. The desserts ...yummmm. Macarons, cannoli, and a huge selection of gelato. AND something called "gelato cake" that looked amazing. We were in town and looking for something different for lunch. Pangea definitely fit the bill...from Neopolitan pizza to Detroit Pizza to Thai, this place has quite a diverse menu! Both my wife and I chose Thai selections and they were excellent ...nicely seasoned with not too much heat. Good food, but smaller portions at a higher price. I tend to eat a lot, and would have needed about 3 of those pizzas to fill me up. Regardless, the pizza was good and I knew going in it was going to be about $15 for a pizza and it wasn't going to fill me up. Again, I eat a lot, so if you're full after 2 or 3 slices of a regular delivery pizza, this will be perfect for you. I need almost a whole pizza to feel full. Last two visits we've had the pistachio w/honey (spicy/sweet, super good), Margarita, & Cafona (sausage w/soppressata; spicy but not too hot) Crust has a nice flavor from the wood burning oven, chewy crust + crispy bottom - Salads: We tried the Kale & Arugla with Bibb lettuce & it was really good, decent sized portions - Thai Drunken Noodles w/pork: Sweet & spicy, meat was tender; pasta tasted like it was homemade - Gelato: Flavors change daily. Brought me back to the pizza that I had when we visited Naples, Italy. This is the real thing; one of the new places bringing us new exciting choices to Evansville. Pizza in Napoli is different than what we call pizza in the USA. So go with an open mind, and experience the taste of fresh dough, real tomatoes sauce and a pizza cooked on a wood brick oven. Lunch at Pangea today and it was fantastic! My first visit in April had some ups and downs. I'm happy to relay that we experienced none of the 'bumps' this time and truly enjoyed ourselves. Service was friendly and fast and complete -from the moment we arrived and were greeted -until we wrapped up lunch and were leaving. Unlike the first visit, these pizzas had the perfect amount of olive oil 'finishing' the pizzas. Not too much left behind on the plate. I was curious as to whether it would be different without making a special request as suggested by the owner after my last visit--so we went for it and just ordered. Couldn't have been a more delicious result. The Carfona and Margherita pizzas were both great. The Carfona is my favorite. The flavors are amazing. Love the outdoor patio tables and herb privacy planters that have been added also! Can't wait to return soon. read more

Very nice place. Walking in, it has a very spacious dining room. I ordered take out. Good was ready in about fifteen minutes. I had the Kao Soi, curry noodle dish with pork. The pork was succulent. Melted in my mouth. The noodles were a ribbon corkscrew, never had any like them. Aldente and delicious. I also enjoyed the onion strings and pepper on the side. Ummmm ALERT! FOOD PORN! had an amazing lunch and sampled from a few of the areas - Siam Detroit pizza which was delicious and unique. Tofu drunken noodles.....with their homemade noodles sooooo tasty! A salad with fresh blue cheese and tried their gelato and had a chocolate macaroon that was the best I ever had. Came in here at around 12:35 first time coming here with my girlfriend. Walked in wasn't sure what to do but asked the nice lady behind the counter where the dessert was at, instructed us to go down and place our order and then we were given a number and chose our table. Great atmosphere and vibe, several families and young people. We ordered the Knuckle Ball Red Pie and Drunken Noodles. They were amazing! Delicious pizza that can feed 2 people or one if really hungry. The noodles had a sweet and mildly hot flavor which made the taste incredible. Leave room for dessert! The Creme Brulee was one of the best I've tried! My girlfriend got the Gelato Slice cake Mint Oreo, it was like an ice cream cake but every bite was heavenly. Coming back for sure!! read more
