For someone who isn't really a fan of clubs, lounges, or anything that resembles a dark place that plays deafening electronic dance music or "EDM," or whatever one would call the darn genre, it means a lot that I actually "survived" Pangaea. I found myself at the opening night of the place for some random reason, and it actually was not a bad experience at all. It might have been because of the crowd. No out-of-control teenagers puking all over the place in sight, just people casually enjoying their drinks in hand. It might have been the set-up as well. They do have a main area further down the room for people to do their usual dancing business, but there is also an area with couches that is relatively better lit for people like me who wants no part of the "action." I felt that the design of the interiors of the couch was done in good taste. It was also nice how the staff was very good-natured. I probably won't be back on my own accord simply because these aren't my type of places, but at least I took away a pleasant experience during my one visit. read more
