One of my friends recommended this place when I went to visit the PI. He said it's one of the most famous places for clubbing in Manila. I've never been clubbing in PI at all but I've gone in a lot of places in Vegas as I live there right now so my expectations were really high for this club. And I can say that they are up there with Vegas clubs! They even have DJs perform at their club who performs in the US-- marshmello, nghtmre (posters I saw when I went). There were 20+ people in our party so my friend recommended just getting a table for us. It was definitely a lot cheaper than getting a table at a club in Vegas but a little pricey in pesos. We got an amazing VIP booth section on the second floor. I don't remember how much we paid but I think it was between 20K-25K pesos with drinks and food included! I think it was a steal comparing to clubs in Vegas! We ended up getting so many bottles of alcohol, beer and lots of appetizers to share. I was just sad because they didn't have Jameson which is my favorite alcohol. So we just got mainly Hennessy and Jager! The service was great! The staff were very attentive to our needs, always making sure to check if we need anything else. And towards the end, they were even super patient with my friends and I since most of my friends were passed out on the couch. They waited and even offered wheelchairs to people who can't walk! Lol. Also, the party is literally all night long, the club don't close until 5/6AM. Another tip! Valkyrie is arguably the most popular clubbing destination in Metro Manila. Having lived in Las Vegas, I'm familiar with nightclubs and this is probably the closest thing you'll get to the stereotypical Vegas club experience in Manila. The space is gorgeous, I must say. I found it quite spacious. Even the bathrooms are big with lots of sinks at your disposal. The club layout might not be everyone's cup of tea but I personally liked the placement of the VIP booths. The standing tables, on the other hand, on the dance floor could go. I didn't buy any drinks because I had a ticket stub for two free cocktails but I felt there was barely any alcohol in the drinks. Just pregame beforehand if you plan on making a trip to Valkyrie. Valkyrie also does a much better job at handling and organizing events with international DJs, such as the Marshmello show I attended. Although it was a sold out show, it was no fuss as doors opened at 9 and being one of the first in line, I was able to slide inside and present my e-ticket on my phone, which they scanned and proceeded to let me in. Although I've only been to Valkyrie once just to see Marshmello's second show in Manila, I would go again for Marc Naval, the resident DJ who opened for him. Marc had the daunting task of playing for a crowd for a lengthy amount of time and he did well. I'd definitely go back to Valkyrie if he was playing. His music and mixes were very on point. It was a nice happy medium of hip hop and R&B meets EDM and trap. I enjoyed his set. If I had to compare it to a nightclub in Las Vegas, it reminded me of a simplified version of Light in Mandalay Bay, which is one of my favorites. Not bad, Valkyrie. Not bad at all. read more

Always AWESOME nights at Valkyrie! The place is huge but has a clean, straightforward layout so it's not one of those places where you easily lose sight of your friends. They have a big concert-type stage in the middle where the DJ set is and two ropedancers usually appear on its sides... adds a twist to the usual clubbing experience! Festival glitter always falls from the roof towards the end of the night as well so they do a good job at keeping people entertained! Valykrie at the Palace is one of multiple clubs/bars that are all connected in one facility. It caters to some of the best international artists and DJs that have come to the Philippines. It is located by Uptown Mall, with a lot of available paid parking. The crowd typically ranges from 20s to early 30s. For being such a nice place, it does cost a lot to party here. Tables can cost 10-30k a night, consumable depending on the day of the week or event. Drinks and bottles do cost a lot more here than some other places, but the place is always jumping. There is always a good amount of people there and it has centralized AC all night. They do have a lot of promoters, so if you plan ahead to go there that night, shoot any of them a text. They will put you on the guest list free of charge. They are willing to accommodate and are really polite. If you prefer a cheaper option, The Pool Club is a good alternative, and on most nights you are able to come in and out of the different clubs with no extra charge. read more

I'm gonna make this short and sweet. Valkyrie is an upscale Club in the heart of BGC. It is a place where people come out to see and get seen. Beautiful people everywhere!! Our hostess... has got to be one of the most beautiful girls i have ever seen in my life! I fell in love! It is quite expensive though! About 10k for a stand up table with 2 bottles and about 20K for a booth. It is a huge establishment and has a connected outdoors area with a pool! The crowd is highly mixed and comprised of a lot of expats and vacationers! The only problem i had with this place is that the DJ only played EDM type music! This is what annoys me the most! Where is the hip hop?? How can you dance with a girl while most of anything you can do is jump up and down and fist pump? Where is all the good grind music where you can get freaky and blame alcohol on your actions? I really wish they changed the music up more. This place closes at around 5 or 6 am... compared to Clubs in the States that close at 2! My feet where tired by 3 am! lol I will be def. coming back here! read more

During these rare occasions that I decide to drop my tito vibe (yes, I admit, I'm starting to be one) and just dance the night away, I make sure I party hard and that's what I did when I visited one of the metro's hippest superclubs today. Because there was an event, as expected, there were a lot of people in various age groups waiting in line to get in even if it was a Tuesday. After a few minutes of unorganized entry procedures, me and my friend got in and the booze and the music just took over from there. At around 3am, even the spacious parking lot had different stories to tell - girls carrying their heel, couples making out and guys just proving to the world just how many bottles they had based on the liquid that came out of their tired bodies. Experiencing the nightlife in Manila is great, but seeing how overboard they can be with certain areas is another story. Why 3 stars?: I'm in my late 20's so I'm not into the clubbing phase anymore as much as I was when I was 18/21. The atmosphere was cool, but observing this club was interesting. Came here with all girls & were mainly by the bar. Got in via a promoter, confiscated one of my cousin's selfie stick (yes, haha! no selfie stick allowed), & casually drank the night away. There is NO dance floor. Seriously, it was a Friday night & all you see are small tables & lounges all over the floor in front of the DJ. It's pretty much surrounded by those who booked/reserved bottle service. Walked upstairs to view the entire club & DJ was okay to me. All the EDM vibes & lights in all corners. Started getting crowded as it got later in the night. Can't go wrong with cheap prices for a San Miguel! If we were sitting, lounging, & getting all of the above service, then maybe I would've rated this better, but from a casual stand point of view, I felt like a wallflower surrounded by nothing but tables & couches, lol! "I'm too old for this shit!" my body screamed the first time I set foot at Valkyrie, currently the hottest and biggest club in town. Don't get me wrong, if it were my early to late twenties body that was talking this would be party heaven for me. (Although I seriously doubt if I could afford getting dead wasted at a place like this given my salary back then.) The place is not just a club - -it is a super club. It is humongous! If it were a penis it would be an epic penis. Three floors of ass grinding, fist-bumping, krumping, and twerking galavantry. You'll hear the latest EDM hits being blasted from large speakers strategically placed all over the dance floor area, with a very effective hype guy getting people worked up into a party frenzy. Hypnotic laser lights add to the ambiance (if it doesn't induce a seizure) and the crowd - -manila's youngest, oldest, hottest, posers, wannabes, has-beens, never was, about to be, all mingle in this hot melthing pot of a party mess you won't mind getting dirty in at least once in your life. If you're young and party hungry Valkyrie is definitely a prerequisite for YOLO. But for the tired, been there, done that 36 year old me going to Valkyrie is like hooking up with an ex. I've never actually had a dull night at Valkyrie. I spent nearly every weekend here for like two months. The venue is big, which is good because it's always packed with people. The crowd is awesome as well (you could always expect to bump into some celebrity) - always hyped up and excited for whoever DJ is playing that night. If you're up for a whole night of drinking, you should try the food. I like their finger foods, it's pretty good. The drinks are a bit pricey, as per usual. The thing that I like about Valk is that even if you don't have a table, you could still have fun. It's not the kind of place where you need a home base. You could literally just stand by the bar or by the dance floor and still have fun. You could get a table or if you want something a bit more fancy, you could rent out a sky box. It's great - it's more private, it's expensive but it is consumable, you could see everything that's happening on the dance floor & you're nearer to the stage PLUS you have a personal waiter that refills your drinks almost immediately. Music was dope, but it would be better if they could add more Hip-Hop songs. The promoter who got us in and the receptionist were very rude. I agree with other reviewers that the staff are not accommodating and friendly at all. This is probably the worst club I've ever been to in my entire life. They set very strict rules when it comes to dress code and guest list, especially for guys. They should put some of the tables from the dance floor aside so there's more room to move around and dance. Not to mention, the staff checked our bags and IDs 3 times like one isn't enough (sigh). I would understand if there's a huge event with international DJ, but that was just a regular Friday night. I'll try to come back next time though just to see if anything changed. read more

Unpopular opinion: Valkyrie is overrated. But if you're young and wild and free and enjoy a near masochistic level of bumping and grinding, then Valkyrie is perfect for you. But my two cents are that the main floor is actually quite boring, mostly because the music is uninteresting (I didn't feel like dancing even when I had already downed a few drinks) those dancers up top did absolutely nothing cool or interesting for the club (though I admit one of them had great form) and you will be extremely uncomfortable 200% of the time. Boys will dance in groups TOO CLOSE around you in an attempt to pick you up as a collective group, girls around you will up-down you and give you the stinkeye, and you will end up going through some serious resistance training as a result of just trying to get from one place to another. For my "partying" objectives, Valkyrie is way too big, way too crowded, way too public, way too unsafe, and the music isn't even worth enduring all that. BGC has tons of better places to drink and dance. read more

This review is based on my one experience here last Novemeber for Armin Van Buuren from a Fil-Am perspective. Heard of this place for a while and had to hit it up on my next vacation which I did. The club was cool and reminded me of EDM clubs here in the states which was great since this is my music preference. The LED screen was massive behind the DJ which was good and the club has some leveling so you can see the DJ. The crowd was more fashion forward with a mix of Filipinos and foreigners. Just to be honest no one here looked like they were struggling in life. Like all clubs in Asia there isn't really a dance floor but just a bunch of standing tables and couches. The price for my standing table was 15k so roughly $300. I wanted a couch but since it was a special event prices were higher and sold out quick. Since the 15k was "consumable" I was able to get a 1L of Moet, 1L of Henny, 6 Heinekens and all the chasers we needed for 6 people. This also included our cover to see Armin! 15k in Vegas will get you a small sitting area with no drinks lol. So in my opinion that's an amazing deal. I even paid a bouncer extra to make sure no one bumped into us or came in our groups bubble which was great since the venue was PACKED. We had a great night and I will be checking this place out again as well as all the other spots at The Palace. My only critique is that there should be a way for foreigners to pay when they get there or by a secure electronic money transfer. I couldn't reserve my spot until I paid like a week in advance and I was in Boracay at the time. Luckily my homie was in BGC and took care of it for me. It could be because it's a special event but there should be other means of paying other than in person and writing out hand written receipts. I'm definitely not a party person but during nights when I go out, I sometimes do check out the hip clubs. Valkyrie opened a couple months back and because some of my friends are promoters for this club, I went to Valkyrie to support them. Initial thought when I was entering the hallway was that I was going to be rubbing elbows with people, I was wrong. The club is pretty huge! Feels like a club you see in Western movies, with a big elevated stage in front. That night that I went, there was an event so management brought in a known DJ to whip up the music. I like the songs a lot because the DJ had mixes of 90s songs. The audio of the place was pretty good. What will sort of prevent me from coming back though is the prices of alcohol. It's pretty expensive. Even reserving a table is expensive, so yes get ready for your wallet to bleed the night away. read more

The girls are donned in their classiest get-up in sky-high heels, while the gentlemen are all looking sharp and clean straight out from a GQ magazine. If you're up for a night to party like a champion, then this is the place to be! This is definitely one of the biggest super clubs to date here in Manila, in fact the façade looks like a palace in itself! I also appreciate how Valkyrie prepared for the volume of people coming because they have a system upon entry of guests with several point entrances. This is THE CLUB to be seen in your best outfit, fist-pumping and body-rocking to the latest dance music; even celebrities come here to shake their booty. The party doesn't start until 12MN, so make sure you take your disco nap and pre-game before hand, because the bass will be shaking the walls until three in the morning (or later). As soon as you walk inside, you'll find yourself walking through a mirror-laced hallway before finally hitting the dancefloor. The place is massive - with a capacity to accommodate about 2,000 people bumping and grinding. The huge stage immediately calls attention to the DJ mixing, who is sometimes accompanied by dancers, who seem to run on Energizer batteries. Clubs are a dime a dozen these days, but places like Valkyrie don't really come around that often. Manila hasn't seen a club of this magnitude ever since Embassy got closed down because someone got stabbed on the dance floor (true story.) Walking into Valkyrie, you first have to go down a long hallway with mirrors and neon lights. It's quite an excitement builder, you finding your way and hearing the party as it nears. It's those few seconds of "tugs-tugs-tugs" in the dark before the large cavern that is the main club is revealed to you, you really think to yourself, "it's time to party." Nice touch, Valkyrie. Nice touch. Other than the space being excellently decorated and the ambiance being successfully built, the service is quite excellent. The waiters and waitresses are polite, attentive, and I think they might have super hearing because they hear my order right away, even over the loud EDM and whoo-girls. Also, here's something you don't hear about a lot of clubs: they have delicious food. Try the mini burgers, the calamares, and other offered finger food. Sorry club valkyrie. Many sources say this is the best night club in Manila but I got disappointed. My review is based on someone who actually want to dance. I don't like the lay out of the dance floor. There are standing tables all around so it's hard to do any kind of dancing without watching your surroundings so you don't knock over bottles. I got there on a Friday at 2am, which is Saturday, and only half the people there were dancing. The other half were just standing around drinking and watching. Every once in a while my friends and I get a spontaneous jolt of energy and eagerness to shake off our lolo and lola vibes and head for a night out. It mostly starts with a joke in our Whatsapp group "Taraaa, Valkyrie??" people ride on with the suggestion (sarcastically) only to find ourselves at the steps of "The Palace" hours later at around 11:30. Hesitation is always the last hindrance before we walk into the doors "aren't we too old for this?" just to find ourselves at the bar ordering a bottle of Jager 30 minutes after. Valkyrie, Manila's latest super club, is massive compared to many other clubs in the city. It jam packs a ton of people and if you're in the mood (or drunk) it can be real fun! Their drinks are about the same range as any other club so don't be too surprised when you see the bar list. They already have an impressive track list of amazing DJs and put on a few good shows and events. A few shots in and moves like no one's watching, expect yourself to head home at ungodly hours! Back when I was in college, all you needed for a club was a room and some music. It didn't matter how sparse the space was, as long as it had blasting beats and a good crowd, it was going to be okay. Just like every other part of the entertainment business, however, it has had to evolve. The latest and the greatest, at least for this year, is Valkyrie. We've come a long way from the days of boxes where music is played inside, and Valkyrie is as far removed from that as possible. The place does look like a pantheon for the hottest crowd, with its marbled walls and large columns. The large mid section is where most of the action happens, but the separate booths add a touch of class. The ones surrounding the main dance floor fit in without looking conspicuous, while the upper booths are hardly noticeable. Getting one may cost an arm, a leg, and a few other body parts, but the isolated scene from the top is a completely different experience. read more

i was only in the area on a Wednesday night so wasn't able to see Valkyrie at its most crowded on a weekend...but i have to say that for a wednesday night, this place got pretty packed haha. we had a reservation to get a table for our small group of 4 and for a nice spot on the side of the dance floor it cost $150 USD - not sure if that's considered cheap or expensive for this area of town but for us it was worth it to have a place to sit and chill along with waiter service so you don't have to keep getting up to go to the bar. service all night at our table was so fast and attentive. also love that you can order food at the club while you drink and dance! we ordered a seafood tower plus some nachos and skewers since dancing and drinking can build up an appetite haha. plus all of us had at least 4-5 hard alcohol drinks and all that together was only about $100 USD. really enjoyed the music as it was a mix of current top 40s, 'old school' early 2000s and even some house thrown in there. all in all, it was a fun night to experience the manila nightlife. not bad for a wednesday night out haha. read more
