Let me preface this with some honesty: I go to Black Market, its next door neighbor, a lot. Wednesday's are my favorite for this reason, but Finders Keepers is a lot better when it's not Wednesday. Situated in a nondescript warehouse in a less glamorous part of Makati is probably one of the coolest speakeasies I've been to in the Metro. The ambiance is dark, moody even, and they play a lot of progressive electro house most times I've been there. This isn't your typical bar where the standards are available and the bartender looks like your dad's pare. The bartenders here are definitely serious mixologists and there's no drink here I haven't enjoyed. There's a good selection of imported beers here, though I would like to see more local filipino craft here since the only local beer option is San Miguel Extra Dry unfortunately. Come here to chill with friends and let off some steam. They also offer food selections from their other neighbor, Joe's Meat Shack. If I'm not looking to go crazy on my few nights off and I'm looking for some straight chill, Finders Keepers is definitely a keeper for me. read more

Bring a lot of cash with you, most drinks cost around the 400-500 mark. I like how you can bring your drink to Black Market and vice versa. Crowd comprises of college kids, working milennials,and even some older folks and expats. This was on a rather slow day though. Went there on a Thursday when they were playing some peculiar Jamaican music we just can't seem to dance to. Finder's Keeper's is a uniquely high-quality speakeasy. It's so cool that it might be worth flying all the way to Manila just to spend time here. The two things I most love about this place are: 1) The have an iron-clad, absolutely no smoking rule! 2) The hours are a night owl's paradise - they open at 8pm, and stay open until 5am :-) Comparing Finder's to a more traditional Manila speakeasy like the Blind Pig, Finder's isn't hidden at all - it's right out in plain sight; the quality of the drinks and the classic funk vibe are what will draw you back here time after time. How good are the drinks? We're talking world-class - I haven't had better in SF, New York, or Paris. The mixologists here are top notch, and know their craft as well as any I've you might compare them to. The interior setup is very cool, with their neon sign casting a red hue all through the small single-room bar. The music they play is a combination of old-time hip-hop and classic funk. Don't be intimidated by the dark streets that lead up to Finders Keepers. It is, after all, supposedly a secret (not) dive bar. But with carefully curated music and cocktails, I can imagine how word spread about it like wildfire around the Metro. When you do find it, you will know that you have arrived, thanks to the fiery, neon Finders Keepers sign that anchors and is the center point of the entire room. And that's all there is to Finders Keepers, by the way -- it is just a room with one entrance and one exit. Very straightforward. Like their cocktails. I was intrigued by one in particular, the Blushing Cheek, which I thought would be a sweet, dainty drink. What I got instead was a kick in the balls: a spicy beverage, which I didn't realize would be so strong. Not that I'm complaining; it was a pleasant surprise. I've always said that Finders Keepers is one of the more mature bars the city has to offer, because it caters to a more grown-up crowd. And by that, I don't mean Tita levels, okay? Love the atmosphere of the place definitely similar to Black Market's vibe but very different too. They have a great variation of drinks, and if you're headed to BM you can even bring your drinks from Finders inside BM and vice versa. Their white Sangria is deff something to try too. Tried it after months of recommendations from a few of my friends. The drink is more on the sweet side which isn't really my usual cup of tea but I actually enjoyed it. Though the music is a tad too loud now a days. It used to be at a level where one could hold a conversation but for the past two weeks it's been a bit too loud that you feel you're in BM. What makes this place unique is the intimate setting and chill vibe it possesses. The music they play is not too loud and would often be upbeat hip, house or dance music with an occasional rock band on some nights. Though the drinks may be a little pricey, you will still get your money's worth as they are specially crafted right in front of you. Ah, Finders Keepers. I just want to have a moment of silence for the death of your secret location. Just a year ago, Finders Keepers was a relatively low key bar-- you could chill with your friends on the swing, play with the satanic-looking candles while having one of your fancy cocktails without anyone bothering you (or without the danger of being roofied haha). But now, even if you go during offpeak hours and not on Bad Decisions Wednesdays, it's packed! There's barely any breathing space, let alone space to move. It's become so well known that I can never go there without bumping into anyone I know, nowadays. (Which is a shame, really. I used to like to hang out at this place, more so than Black Market.) You would definitely expect a dose of a good variety of soul, funk, hiphop, indie, rock, and rarely any annoying commercial tunes on their playlist. The no smoking rule duly enforced is a plus. Drinks are concocted to a science by their dapper mixologist Dondz or Don and are worth every penny. Mingle with all types of locals and expats. Simply put, just trust to have a damn good time. Insider tip: Try going on a Tuesday evening if you want a cool after-work or tour place to hang out and talk. If you want to party, Wednesdays til the weekend are a sure bet. Here, it is definitely always a good time! I remember the first time I've been here, it lived up to the name it wanted to be known for--a speakeasy bar, but as it gained popularity, more and more people have been coming here, most especially during Wednesdays. However, on off-peak days, it is a very relaxing bar and definitely a good place to bring a small-knit of good friends for an evening of chit-chat over crafted cocktails, skilfully concocted by their friendly bartenders. Although the price point is a bit more on the expensive side, it is still worth it in my opinion because you actually pay for the experience! If you are curious what's in the drink you are about to order, just ask the baristas and they are more than happy to enumerate them to you, kudos to them because they also prepare your drink right in front of you! It is amazing to see them in their element and will convince you that crafting drinks is actually an art in itself. If you want a peace and quiet time, visit them on weekday nights except for Wednesdays. There is a lovely little bar tucked in an inconspicuous wall along the hall leading to Black Market. There is no sign to the place. Find it though and be greeted by a large, glistening neon red sign. "Finders Keepers," it reads, a signal that you have arrived at one of the premier (non-clubbing) nightlife venues in Metro Manila. It's a really cozy place. Not that large, yet not as small as say, Blind Pig. The music is hip and the people are beautiful. One Sunday my fiancée and I discovered a jazz band performing. We watched, holding hands, over an old fashioned and a spiced ginger cocktail. Yet it seems as too many people have found the beauty of this place already. I'm not trying to be a hipster and say "ay yuck it's not cool na cause people know it," but there can be days where there are just TOO MANY PEOPLE. I loved this place when it was chill and steady. Now, if I have to take fifteen minutes just to get to the bar from the entrance, I'd rather just grab a beer over at nearby Black Market. read more

Housed in the same compound where Black Market is in, Finders Keepers is a cool watering hole hidden in the dark recesses of Don Chino Roces in Makati. The place can get really crowded at times. To the point that trying to get a drink at the bar becomes a tedious test of patience. On other days like a Tuesday or Wednesday, when the crowd is just right and you can actually sit down and nurse your drinks in peace, Finders Keepers is the best place to be in. Finders Keepers is a hipstery speakeasy somewhere in San Lorenzo, Makati. I think they have very good cocktails, but they are so expensive. Bring a lot of cash. One glass can run up to PHP 500 sometimes. Do the math if you wanted to try 2 or 3 drinks. I don't have a favorite drink in particular. Almost everything I tried in Finders Keepers was really good. They're all different, but good. It just depends on your preference as to what kind of alcohol base you generally prefer. I had heard a lot about Finders Keepers before a group of friends finally brought me here. Its location is relatively hidden in the streets of Makati and a little hard to find, adding to the feeling of reaching a place kept well in secret. The place is intimate and not too loud. The cocktails are just incredible as the bartenders are clearly professionals! I love this bar. It is the perfect combination of classy, grungy and cool. Although it is a little difficult to get a drink, I guess that is part of all the fun. Of course, what is a good speakeasy bar if it doesn't have good cocktails? Their libations are all well-made and are all very tasty making it too easy to finish a couple in one sitting. Depending on the crowd and the music, this place can get super fun. What I love most about it is the fact that you can't smoke inside. This is a really cool bar if you want to make a night out of it with friends. It's the cocktail bar of Black Market and it's pretty small and it's pretty vibe-y once it fills out. It's filled with lots of well dressed party types, so if that's the scene you're keen on, you'll be happy here. The drinks are also pretty decent. Cocktails that are a little more on the adventurous side. But they also have beer and wines too. The only things that bugs me here is that it's pretty much self service at the bar. So when it gets busy you'll have to fight your way to get noticed by the bartender. Most good cocktail bars should serve you at your seat and I'm not too sure what's so hard about that. read more

Finders Keepers is one of the few speakeasies in Manila and when I entered the place, I was shocked by how small it was. It appeared much bigger in photos that I had previously seen. In any case, that didn't take away from my experience here. My friend bought me a drink and it was delicious. Decent cocktails this place offers. I also like the vibe here. With good music, good vibes, and refreshing cocktails, FK has become a go to place for late night drinks. Just make sure to make it there early as the small shack--actually, it's more like a 40 foot high cube container--gets jam packed even on weekdays. Their drinks are real good, a little price but not the usuals you'll find in a bar, and they're served in cute mason jars or huge wine glasses! The atmosphere is dark except a single neon light sign and a few candles which makes the whole feel intriguing. The first ever tine I set foot in this place I felt like it was love at first sight! I immediately knew that this would be a place I would go to often. It was just the coolest bar I have ever been in. The place is filled up with benches, chairs, tables, and a swing. Each table has a candle on an antique looking candle holder. The bar is lit with its read sign that says Finders Keepers. The drinks sold here are as cool as the place looks. They may be pricey but you always get what you pay for and in this case you pay for great quality drinks. My top two favorites would be the F*K Mule and the Old Fashioned. The Mule is served in a boot. It tastes like citrus and ginger. It's a really good tasting drink but at the same time really strong! The Old Fashioned is a fusion of an orange and coffee taste. Those are some of the ingredients used to make it. These two drinks are very good and will definitely give the right buzz. Great place and great drinks! Finders Keepers is one of the rare "speak easies" in Manila which does its job so well that despite the name everyone knows about it already. I put quotation marks because I believe that this place was supposed to be a Speak Easy type of establishment however, it became so popular that it wasn't possible to keep the noise level down. And yes, they have pretty good reason to popular, the drinks created by their head bartender Dondz are very very very well made. Each drink has a good concept behind it and all of them use good ingredients. My favourite would be the Jaymo and Co. it is a sweet whiskey based drink that strong hints of lemon. My next best bet would be the Hendricks with Cucumber, very refreshing and it has a strong hit. Ever since it opened its doors on late 2013, I have been a regular up until today. Great ambiance, good crowd, superb drinks and the best thing for me is awesome music, they even have live gigs on Sundays. Check it out! read more
