My last interaction with this doctor's office was April 2024, trying to book an appointment in need of getting back on disability for what is now recognized as severe autoimmune issues resulting from years of being abused by my ex-wife. Unfortunately, I never made this appointment as I was deeply disturbed by the office staff saying my files were no where to be found at the time and would have to be enrolled as a new patient, long wait for an appointment upon getting a hold of the office. Combined with a separate scary event in 2022 later described in this review, I have since switched providers... I was unable to ever get through to book appointments throughout 2023, and resorted to my local urgent care for any medical care as needed generally, thankfully having fewer major health scares compared with other recent years since 2019. In 2022, was the scariest encounter personally. I went in with symptoms of pneumonia, somehow lucky enough to get a rare same day appointment. Requested a certain antibiotic (clartihromycin) due to fears of what they was suggested by this doctor (Amoxicillin) and a history of being treated for such illnesses by my providers back home in Indiana using clarithomycin. The doctor insisted on amoxicillin regardless and sent me on my way after the exam, despite noting dangerous heart rates and congestion, breathing patterns, and consistent fever of almost 104. This was a bit strange and inconsistent with past visits. Within two days, I had what friends and family of mine who are licensed doctors in good standing from other states are labeling a TIA (transient ischemic attack or mini-stroke), which occurred during a remote work call I took while recovering. They at least switched me to the medication I originally asked for at this point, and I was able to get over the pneumonia symptoms, didn't get a full blown stroke as far as tests have shown so far I've been able to have performed. However, when combined with the lost records deal in 2024, it's safe to say I jumped ship to a new provider for my disability claim needs. Not sure that was fully wise either considering the big mistakes and slower speed of progress the new provider has made since switch from this doctor, but is what it is sadly. This doctor is very kind, and compassionate for sure. Prior to the visit in 2022 referenced above, I had zero issues at all and had been seeing them since 2019 after a different hospitalization. Perhaps just a fluke, or perhaps just general decreasing quality of office staff in the entire PIH network since the pandemic ‍ I just know I have had incredibly bad medical misfortunes as a whole since having to switch from the UC Irvine health system to PIH being on my now ex-spouse's insurance after moving to LA county from OC in 2019. I'm honestly not a fan of any of the general practitioners I've seen in the PIH network to date.... Besides the pediatricians, who have been great for my kids. The specialists have all been amazing to date as well. When it comes to primary adult care, he's better than what I have now I suppose, but like anyone can make a somewhat big mistake when not fully taking the patient concerns/requests into consideration and is difficult to get appointments when urgent. read more

This doctor is incompetent and unethical. Three family members have been treated in this office and were given horrible care. From what I've seen most of his patients are elderly and he's making lots of money from Medicare without really caring about the patients. read more

Excellent doctor, very knowledgeable and caring. He actually listens to you and what you think and how you feel. After reading the other reviews here I'm wondering who they saw. I do agree getting someone on the phone is difficult and time consuming. I would rather that hassle and get to see someone who is kind and caring rather than the opposite. Let's face it, getting an immediate appointment is a good indicator that the doctor isn't that busy or in demand, and why would that be? Not that great of a doctor? I'll hang on hold with Dr. Pang's office instead. read more

This doctor office is so outdated and wait times are unheard of. Find another doctor, don't waste your time here.

I was a new patient and found myself in PIH hospital and Dr Pang came to check in on me every day! He is a great doctor who spends time with his patients and does not rush you out. The only negative comment, is that the waiting is excessive for an appointment. But, I promise you, he is worth the wait :) read more

My family could never have enough gratitude for Dr. And Mrs. George Pang and sweet hard working Hope. Dr. Pang's office is quaint. Dr. Pang's demeanor is old school, which is refreshing. He is thorough and detailed, quiet and sweet. Mrs. Pang and Hope handle the office seamlessly, always on top of things and willing to please. My mom has been under his care for two years now. She seems to be much more stable under his care. Very grateful. read more

absolute worst. never calls back, never answers phone, can't get referral. he's doing a great job of 'gate keeping' to specialists.

I've been seeing Dr. Pang for a few years, and I really love how attentively he listens and seems so genuinely concerned for all of his patients. I truly feel cared for when I see him. The problem is his office and staff. It is nearly impossible to get through on the phone. He has two people in the front answering calls, taking care of files/patients AND doubling as his nurses! I can't blame them too much, as they are obviously overwhelmed, but this system doesn't work. Even just hiring ONE more person would be lifting a burden on his two person staff. Anyway, great doctor but good luck getting through on the phone. Trying to get an appointment here will give you levels of patience you never knew you had. read more
