I am a patient of the sleep medicine clinic, and I cannot recommend them any less (if negative…read morestars were possible, I would assign them that!). Since being seen by Dr Nguyen at the very beginning of June, I have had nothing but hurdles to overcome in terms of trying to seek care for my sleep (or lack thereof) issues. Dr Nguyen recommended a sleep study at our appointment and referred me for such. The first referral was denied because of improper filing in her behalf, and it took over a week of calling daily AND messaging through the portal to have the referrals resubmitted properly. Then, the second round of referral was denied and I was told it was because she didn't complete a peer to peer consultation with my insurance. After calling to speak with the doctor on Monday, I was told by the office that she would be contacting me by Wednesday to discuss what happened with my referral. It is now Wednesday, and guess what! Still no word from the office or the doctor. I have also had multiple messages sent on my behalf from the sleep lab where the study should be taking place, and from the patient relations department. AND, because of the nature of this study, I am required to keep a log for two weeks prior to my study and be off of my medications for those two weeks before I can even do the testing. This, combined with the fact that referrals take up to (and usually max out on) a full two weeks to process, I am looking at a minimum of another month before I get any answers. Truly do not schedule with this clinic or provider if you value your sanity or if you are actually looking for a caring team to help you with your sleep issues.

Dr. Dhillon is a one in a million doctor! He has approached my situation with empathy, action, and…read moregreat advice. I had grown up with GI problems, in fact I remember my first issues at age 8. It was just another thing I had two deal with, but in my 40's things got much worse and could not be ignored anymore. At 45 I first sought help for my persistent left sided pain and I was told It was a muscle pull: over the years as my pain and dysfunction got worse I had multiple short term diagnoses, with antibiotic treatments and multiple food restriction diets that I tried out to help my symptoms: it was first diagnosed as a UTI, diverticulitis, kidney infection, possible endometriosis or prolapse. It was incredibly frustrating to have severe symptoms, debilitating pain, and confusion about what was causing the issues for over five years. I would get better for a short time with antibiotics but the debilitating pain would return. In 2023 I literally did all my studying and reading laying down. I was in so much pain it was hard for me to sit for more than twenty minutes. At my annual exam my gynecologist read my CT scan and said he thought I had a severe constipation problem. This proved to be a breakthrough but it took a couple more years to really get to the bottom of this problem. Pardon the pun. Miralax alone wasn't cutting it. A couple of prescriptions for abdominal spasms helped, but not consistently. I was a bit hopeful but resigned to perhaps not getting a solution to my issues. I had learned to live with the constraints- scheduling my day and life around the GI problems that seems to take over my life. Dr. Dhillon came into the exam room and was positive and energetic. He reviewed my colonoscopy report and explained I had a functional problem but not structural; that I had essentially what is known as IBS-M (problems with both constipation and diarrhea). He gave me great and concise dietary guidance regarding fiber, hydration, recommended probiotics and then prescribed a GI motility agent which my insurance had denied with a previous provider. I first had a 30 day sample and reported how much better I was doing. Somehow Dr. Dhillon got my insurance to cover it. Almost four months into the regime, the combination of medication and attention to my lifestyle, diet, and stress levels proved to be a miraculous aid in my recovery. It has been a long journey to get here and I don't doubt there will be more bumps In the road but for the first time in over five years I am regaining energy, enjoying life without severe abdominal pain, and starting to look forward to the future and making plans...instead of just enduring life. What a tremendous difference Dr. Dhillon has made in my life, and I'm sure in many other patients. A true gift to the people who are struggling with health challenges.

I was referred to Dr. Cepeda through a friend who sang his praises. After my initial appointment, I…read morequickly found that he possessed all the qualities I sought in a primary care physician. He showed the right balance of technical knowledge, compassion, empathy, and humility. He demonstrated considerable patience, as he didn't try to rush me through my appointment. He came across as deeply curious, a good listener, and a problem solver. He has an easy-going, affable, and approachable personality. I appreciate the fact that we share the same philosophy on health maintenance. He is far from the pill-pushing doctors that are far too common in the medical field. Instead, he understands the underlying factors that contribute to illness. He encourages smart lifestyle choices (stress reduction, healthy diet, proper sleep, and regular exercise) to stave off chronic illness and help live a happy and healthy life. I consider myself very fortunate to have found him and, based on my first experience with him, would highly recommend him to anyone.

Very engaging in conversation in a genuinely personable way. The most complete primary care physician I've ever had provide care. Oddly enough my son blazed the trail. After a less than positive experience with another provider my son landed with Dr. Cepeda. After taking my son to more than a handful of appointments it was clear I wanted the same care my son was receiving. To date it's been all that and more. I believe that even though his practice was full I was able to get on the roster of patients. My only negative to share is the periodic lack of timely appointments. Given the level of care provided it's certainly understandable why things can get busy and appointments booked up. Fortunately there are other physicians that share the variable seasonal load in a way that I'm never unable to get appropriate care in a timely manner. The medical staff that works with doctor are entirely top notch. Over the years staff comes and goes but the current roster is outstanding. I'm so pleased with my care that I don't even have a hint of interest in making a change at any point. Much thanks to Dr.Cepeda and his practice for making me a patient that absolutely could not be more satisfied with my care.

Months ahead of time, I made sure with him that he would certify my disability form, and then when the form came to be completed, he completed it saying that I could actually work. I was totally blindsided by him; it was too late to find another doctor. It is only by the grace of God that I avoided becoming homeless because of him.

I know this because 10 months ago I was diagnosed with a significant and permanent health issue. He is extremely personable, friendly, and punctual (I've NEVER waited in a patient room for more than 7 minutes before he arrives). He always remembers what's going on in my life and asks about it, and he seems to demonstrate legitimate care for my well-being, both physical and otherwise. I went through a divorce a while back and put on a lot of depression weight (hooray for Taco Bell therapy, you're cheaper than alcoholism). Most doctors that I've ever been to would tell me I was overweight, obese, in danger, blah blah blah- stuff I am fully aware of. Dr. Hisatomi told me the same things, but also asked if I was receiving counseling, if he could recommend someone for me, if there was anything he could do to motivate me to eat better, etc. Great guy, good doctor- you'll enjoy him. If you're looking for a good GP in the Elk Grove/Laguna area, I'd really recommend him.
