Panera, oh Panera, why do you make me stop in everytime I pass by? I've been a faithful Panera fan since they started to open on the East Coast and have spent many a day back in the day when I was an undergrad drinking free coffee refills and using the wifi while hammering away at various assignments. I am more apt to stop here for a latte than Starbucks (shhhh, don't tell anyone, I used to be a barista!), but that's only because the latte of my soul is a caramel latte and Panera uses actual caramel and not syrup. The baked goods and pastries are delicious here. There is nothing like a savory asiago cheese bagel or a delightfully sweet cinnamon crunch bagel to start the day or a shortbread cookie on the way home from work. The soups, sandwiches, and pasta dishes are great too, but sometimes you need to do some trial and error to see which ones are actually worth some of the advertised prices. This location has great staff and the drive-thru is very accurate and surprisingly quick as well. But, just as in any other drive thru, make sure you check your order before you leave! read more

In general, I like Panera Bread. I respect their healthy approach to food, even if it does seem a bit preachy at times. The food usually tastes pretty good and the coffee is delicious. I would rate this location higher, but there are two problems. First off, the price. Although it's not incredibly expensive, there just is not enough value for the price. You pay $10 to $12 for a salad and a drink. If you want a soup and salad, you're looking at around $12 to $15. Granted you can find much more expensive food, I must remind myself that while this location is very nice and clean with modern decor, this is not exactly fine dining. Secondly, and to me the more off-putting of the two, the menu is seasonal, or so it seems. While I realize that some items like the butternut squash soup might truly be a seasonal item, the steak and blue cheese salad seems to come and go with no rhyme or reason. And now gone, possibly forever, is the fontina grilled cheese. I know Panera removed all non-natural items from the menu, but some of my favorite items seem to be casualties of this war against preservatives. read more

I had a horrible service experience at this Panera location about 4 months ago. It took me over 20 mins from getting in the drive thru line to getting my food. Which I found to be wrong & had to go in. I was amazed that it took 3 times to explain that I wanted & ordered the apple oatmeal not strawberry & I wanted it just as they have listed on the menu. They still got it wrong. They finally got it correct, no apology but acted as if I was bothering them, even the manager. I go to my car & sip my Carmel latte that I ordered to only find out it's green tea. So I turn around again & when I walk in the manger looks like what do you want now. I explain & show my receipt & of course had to explain again. Again no apology, no concern. Fast forward to today. I said I would never go there again but I like the food just not the service. I went through the drive through. They guy was nice & the service was much better. I sip my Carmel latte & it's luke warm. I was going to turn around but didn't want the same experience from before so I just came to work. I sit down to eat my blueberry oatmeal & had exactly 5 blueberries. I am so over this Panera & today will be the last time I visit this location. No more money from me or my organization. We will try the Macon location for future breakfast orders. I truly hope it's a better experience. read more

Ordered the chicken avocado melt and a bowl of soup tonight for to-go order. When I got home and took the first bite of my sandwich, I was crunching down on what felt like a mouthful of sand. It was salt! One section of my sandwich had a good teaspoon and a half of course salt on it. Not even sure how or why that even happened. I paid $15 for a sandwich I had to throw in the trash and a bowl of soup. Really disappointing. I will not be going back here again. Don't waste your money. read more

Avoid the drive through. The food is that of typical Panera chain but the drive through routinely takes 10 min+ no matter how slow or busy they are. It would prob be faster to go to the deli section of a grocery store and get your soups, sandwiches, and salads there. read more

Had to get some toner from Office Depot, so I decided to eat lunch at the Panera Bread Store just across the parking lot. There was a line to order, so I waited my turn, then ordered the daily special soup and salad. With a drink, the bill came to $14 (ouch). The cashier handed me a pager along with my receipt. I walked back to the tight and crowded little pick up counter area to wait on my order. A waitress came by and took my pager from me. I asked why. She said that they only gave you the pager if you couldn't hear your name being called. Okay. Waited about 10 minutes; all the while seeing orders before and behind mine being served. Finally, my name was called and the counter clerk informed me that they were out of soup. She handed me my salad. The service coordinator asked me what would I rather have than soup. I said, "Nothing". I mean, when you order soup and salad... there's really not an alternate... especially when there's not a menu in front of you. We wrangled for a minute and I told her I just wanted my money back. So, off to the front counter we go where she gets the manager to process my credit. The manager rang it up incorrectly the first time; crediting only $11.84. I protested, showed him my receipt, and finally got my full credit. No, "We're sorry" or "What can we do to make this better" from anyone, including the manager. Having eaten at Panera Bread's in other locations, I know it is not a chain problem... just one with the local management. The space is too crowded and obviously, too many of the staff haven't a clue as to what they're doing or what constitutes great service. Very disappointing first visit to this location and I won't be back. read more

For the fourth time in a row, they cannot make a bowl of french onion soup. This time, I specifically asked if the croutons were in the bag. The cashier said everything was in the bag. Got home-no croutons, no cheese in the soup. This is an everyday menu item! I called the manager. He asked what he could do to make it right, and I asked him what SHOULD he do to make it right. He told me to come back over and they would give me what I actually ordered 20 minutes earlier. So... do I skip dinner with my family and waste gas? Or do I piss away $6.63 for the cost of the crap they served me? Hmmmmm. Great choices. Then I told him to train his employees as it is a problem every time I order french onion soup. He told me to mind my tone. If the manager can't take some heat from a consistently disappointed customer, who can? Overpriced for what you get, felt like i was paying for the atmosphere more than the food. The food was ok. I give my dinner 2 stars (my panini did have much stuff in it at all) expensive for about $9 with a small back of chips. My wife had a soup salad combo, hers was a better portion and better flavor. By far the WORST Panera I have ever been to. Every time I go, I swear I won't go back. I have never been when they have made my order correctly, or even well. The servings are small... ridiculously small. The sandwiches are poorly made, they are almost always out of multiple items even hours before closing. They always leave something out of my bag if I go through the drive-thru. The only thing they have going for them at this location is kind employees. Any other Panera is worth the money, but not this one. read more

Okay, so I see a lot of reviews complaining about the quality of food here, the cleanliness, etc...... maybe I just came on a good night, but my food was great and the restaurant was clean and peaceful. I am in town for work and was looking for something not fried chicken for dinner. I used the ordering kiosk to order rather than going to the counter; this let me customize my salad and the staff really came through and delivered up a massive salad. Some Paneras I've been to basically disregard the requests you put in the kiosk for things like extra lettuce or additional free toppings, but this place definitely hooked me up. I got enough salad for dinner and lunch the next day, for no additional cost above the price of a normal full size salad. Everything was fresh and good. I ordered the sprouted wheat roll but they were out of that at 7PM, so that was a bummer, but the baguette chunk I had instead was still soft and chewy and good. Overall, I will definitely come back here. Yes, the employees did seem a bit grumpy as other people have pointed out, but I honestly don't expect or care about customer service at a place like Panera. I just want my food made right and for it to taste good, and this place checked those boxes. read more

Consistency I can count on!!! The food is always amazing and always served with a smile! The folks here are always helpful and always explain the new featured items, which is one thing I always want to know about and try. The Soups are so good, especially this time of year and I especially love the chili. Group Soup is a great go to dinner you can feel good about. I love that the Panera team is helpful in helping you get the most for your money by suggesting specials, like a .99 pastry. I can't think of a time I've come here and been disappointed. I'm going to share one visit, where things could have gone bad and didn't. I brought my active, spirited 5 year old son, and to make it short, he made himself completely at home. He rearranged furniture, stretched out and " relaxed" in between running to the counter asking many questions. Everyone was so kind, polite and had the patience of a saint. Thankfully, I can say that they treated him like a good and valued customer, even though he is 5 and could try anyone's nerves. On multiple occassions, I've had an order wrong and ice tea soured from sitting there too long. I come here because the food is good and healthy but every time I come, at least to the drive-thru, I swear I'm never coming back. Every time I order a sandwich and open it up it's a disaster. The wrapping on my sandwich is an absolute mess with smashed food and mayonnaise, which gets all over my clothes. Food is falling all over the place, including my lap. The parts of my sandwich have fallen apart so much that I have to put my sandwich back together again just to be able to eat it. I have had this same employee leave out certain items from my bag the last couple of times of coming by. The last time I looked inside my bag to make sure everything was there, the window slammed open and I was asked if there was a problem. I said no, just checking. I have been stationed here at Robins AFB for a year. In that year, I have visited Panera Bread about five times. Two of those times I left the drive through because the wait was excessively long (over 10 minutes) and the final straw was when I placed an order for 6 bagels and 2 sandwiches and they forgot one of the sandwiches. My friend and I decided to come eat here this weekend. We entered without a mask on because we had not been to eat here after they decided to reopen. We went under the assumption that since we would be eating, a mask would not be as effective since we would need to remove it anyways. The lady at the register told us we needed a mask to place our order, and we both happily obliged to get our masks and return to the store. On our way out, one of the male associates yelled "if you would read the sign!" as we exited the building. While I understand that this is a new process for everyone, and we did miss the sign, being rude to customers does not make this transition any easier. The employers rude comments will make me unlikely to visit this location again. The food was good and prepared quickly, but the lack of understanding for new customers as they get used to changes and protocol is frustrating and causes more problems. read more

So I know this is a most loved sandwich spot since Atlanta Bread Company lost its coolness. Well, I went here with a girlfriend expecting the best. Decor was nice. Decided on the Spinach Power salad (Fresh baby spinach, roasted mushrooms and onion blend, diced eggs, applewood-smoked bacon, frizzled onions & smoky Vidalia® onion vinaigrette) and French Onion soup. The Super Spinach salad was ok. Soup was ok. Cold salad (I thought the roasted mushrooms would be warm and the bacon room temp? It seemed like the salad material were refrigerated and made to order without heating anything. Sigh. I guess. I ordered the Cinnamon Cake for my husband and it was actually pretty decent. The General manager at this place is terrible!! First he yelled at us for trying to leave out the wrong door and to exit out the front ( note that we were told to take our time and left shortly after that, since they were closing). Then once I arrived at the front before my fiancé, the GM told me I couldn't leave until he arrived at the door too! Then he proceeded to embarrass and yell at my honey "WERE WAITING ON YOU", which was extremely inappropriate and unprofessional. He was scary and rude. NEVER going again.
