Sometimes it can be hard to review chains, but my general rule is to evaluate them within their peer group. So, while I don't think Panera's food is the best in the world, I do think this overall Panera location was pretty good for a quick lunch on the road. What I liked: This location was clean, and I appreciated that they had kiosks to order at. I don't know if it's the Millennial in me or what, but any time I can avoid ordering at a counter I tend to go the kiosk route. It was peak lunch time but they were fast, and the food was overall tasty. What I didn't care for: Is it just me or has the quality of Panera's food kind of gone downhill a bit recently? Truth be told I hadn't been to a Panera for a long time. Like probably since COVID if I'm being honest with myself. It's one of those places that was in a regular rotation when I worked in an office, but since making the shift to work primarily from home, it's just not as much of a place I find myself at. An old staple for me used to be the Asian Sesame Salad. I had that this time and I felt like the dressing maybe had some sort of artificial sweetner in it? I couldn't remember if it always tasted that way. And the meat just tasted a bit more processed that I remember. It could just be that as I've aged what I want to spend my money on has changed and this just doesn't fit the bill anymore, but it had lost some of it's appeal for me after this meal. Overall I'm going with 4 stars simply because I felt like for a Panera it was pretty good, the folks working were kind, and it was still one of the healthier options when driving through MO on a road trip. read more

I swore i was never going to eat at Panera again, but decided to give them another try. I had mixed emotions about my return in Sedalia. First, I just got tired of lackluster food, dirty dining rooms and bad drink options (IMO). On this day, their rewards deal was down so that was not a good start. Next, I ordered the pick two and the lady gave the full sandwich option and it ended up being over 20 bucks with a drink when it should have been much less. Double negative. The plus was that the sandwich (ham and gouda) was pretty good. One little layer of ham and cheese and a ton of bread. So, good not great. read more

This is the Panera bread out of 20 others I been too throughout the states that actually have good customer service! Why Sedalia, Mo of all places I have no clue. They still do that bs with the vibrator thingy for getting your food. And still serve glorified hospital cafeteria food but hey I like it. I mainly only come to Panera bread for the coffee and none of them seem to ever have bread for some reason which is some twisted irony. I like the environment but only if I get a booth because the seating outside the booth feels very awkward. Idk that's probably just me. read more

And even with the increased prices everywhere due to inflation, the prices here are high. So if you have extra money to spend and you're not very hungry, this is a good place to eat. Came here for lunch while visiting over the holidays. I had never been to one. I ordered a Spicy Thai salad. No ingredients are listed on their menu or was a asked if I wanted certain ingredients. When I got my salad I was surprised to find it covered in chopped nuts. I am very allergic to nuts and it causes me anaphylactic shock. I asked the young lady behind the counter what was on it. Cashews, peanuts and pecans. With nuts being such a deadly allergy I am surprised that this is not listed on the menu. Evelyn the gal behind the counter was very apologetic and had a new salad made for me. The salad I did end up eating was the Chile lime and was very good. Beautiful hub and employees very lovely. As a business though I think they should list ingredients or at least ask if you want nuts or not. I do appreciate them accommodating me! read more

If it's cold out, and it's not busy, I'm sure you will enjoy finding a seat next to the gas log fireplace. I know that I have. Passing through town and needed a quick bite. Saw 2 vans from a nearby college and my hubby said "do we really want to stop here?" Afraid the place was crazy with college kids. When we got inside there were 4 kids and their coach. I thought that wasnt bad. We placed our order and then was informed that it would be awhile before we got our food due to 20+ kids that ordered. Sigh....so much for quick bite. Then our cashier Valerie said "tell you what. I will go back right now and make your sandwich ". Well that was nice. This is for sure my favorite fast food /restaurant because the employees are super nice and the people here are non judgmental. Overall this location is pretty similar to other Panera locations. The food was served promptly and as ordered. I thought the employees were friendly and not overly solicitous. The construction is new and the inside of the store is nice, but it feels like a poor layout. The food prep area eliminates a lot of area for seating that is badly needed. The store only has a capacity of about 160 people, which seemed like an overestimation on the day we were there when the place was full with about half that amount present. I felt cramped the entire time while we were eating. Finally, the entrance/exit from the parking lot has poor visibility and is somewhat dangerous. You can't see oncoming cars until you are already in the way. Part of the problem is just the location of the lot, but there are also several small trees that create blind spots. read more

Panera's food is tasty, fresh and terribly overpriced. You get, bread, lettuce, more bread, and chips or apple. Lacking in the protein to say the least for the price that's charged. New policy, you don't even get the pastries for an additional .99 cents, only the cookies. That's a lot for a cookie. What really annoys me is the their bread. The other day I went through the drive thru to get a loaf of Ciabatta bread. I needed it for a fondue. I normally bake my own but was way too busy. This person brings me a long baguette like loaf. I say, this isn't a Ciabatta. She assures me it is even though it is shaped like a baguette. I had a disagreement with the dolt at the window that this is not a Ciabatta. Ciabatta is Italian for slipper. The loaf is short and oval like a slipper. A Ciabatta gets is name from the shape. If it's shaped any other way then it is NOT a Ciabatta. This I have to tell to a place that calls itself a bread company. Jeez. Management needs to go back to bread school. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Every time my husband and I come here they always mess up my order. Never my husbands just time. It's either they run out of something I want or I get An ingredient I didn't want on a sandwich etc. i got a bacon turkey bravo once and it was shredded turkey in it instead of lunch meat type of turkey if you get what I mean & I told the lady and she said "no that's how it is supposed to be." Excuse me ma'am I've ordered the same order for three years and I'm pretty sure I know what goes in it. Nothing was done until I asked for the manager and even then they just changed the turkey out and gave me the same exact sandwich . Any other panera I've never had this problem. This place is a really good cafe for the best sandwiches and soups. Everything comes out Hot and ready to eat. One of my favorites is the Mac n cheese because, it is always hot and Really cheesy. Pan era is the best place to go for get togethers and special occasions. read more

It's Panera so the food is amazing, Period. After an incredible year of amazing service the last couple times we have had several mistakes in the food, or they are always out of the bread we came for.
