Dining room wasn't open, which is fine, but I spent 30 minutes in the drive thru to get home to the worst meal I have ever seen. I did look in the bag prior to pulling away but mainly just to check if everything was there, not to inspect that they actually used fresh food. Ordered a you pick two with half a Greek salad and half a grilled cheese. The Greek salad was full of old brown produce. I didn't even take a bite because I knew it would make me sick. 75% of the lettuce was brown and mushy and the onions were old. The grilled cheese was a mess and barely cooked. Way to go Panera Roseville. You've done it again. I don't mind you forgetting half my order when you're busy. I understand that and you do it quite often. What I don't understand is this: I call when I get back to my office (on my timed lunch) and explain that half my order is missing and simply ask if it can be delivered or if I should come back and get it. One of the girls at the front in a rude sigh (as if I were annoying her with my common question), puts me on hold for 20+ min. 5 of these minutes were spent driving back to your restaurant (still on hold), walking inside and waiting in line (still on hold) while one of your cashier's (girl who answered the phone) is staring me down and sees me looking at the phone that is clearly beeping quite loudly. I get to the register (still on hold and I'm at about 30 min.) and the other cashier says in a rude reply to my story, "well yeahhhh, we're busy." Well, not busy enough for you to still keep me on hold while I'm talking to you. Not busy enough for you to be so rude on the phone and in person. I would appreciate if management took the time to retrain their young employees and teach them that it is never ok to be disrespectful to customers and if they're on hold for more than 5 min. pick up the phone and say, "Miss, I apologize, but we're extremely busy at the moment. Please come back in and we'll take care of this situation for you." I've done my time in the restaurant and retail business and I've NEVER treated customers this way. Last time I went there they gave me a rusty earring in my egg bacon cheese sandwich. They then denied it even though it was pressed right in the middle of the sand which. They acted horrible to us when we confronted them. Never go here!!! read more

This review is for 9/16/20 for an order at 6:58. A simple order of bread bowl with broccoli soup and a pick 2 with soup and a Sandwich. This place is the worst Panera I have ever been to for drive thru, there was 3 cars ahead of me which then took 15-20 minutes just to get up to order then another 15-20 minutes to get the food. But nothing beats waiting all that time just to get home and open the bag and see that they did not put the sandwich in the bag. Then to call up to the store numerous times for them to never answer their phone. Avoid this Panera at all cost unless you enjoy being disappointed... The food is acceptable at this location. Cleanliness has something to be desired. However, my main gripe is that I request Tabasco packets each time I order here. I am always told, "we don't carry Tabasco." When I ask why not, they always tell me Panera doesn't carry Tabasco. When I tell them there are 3 other locations I visit and they all have Tabasco packets, I'm met with, well it's not something we carry here. It sounds trivial, but when you find a place you totally enjoy the food you want consistency. I can never get an explanation why this one cafe is not consistent with the others. So I guess I will travel to #600802 in Chesterfield or #606152 in Clinton Township (their cleanliness is far superior to the Roseville location) - Sad as I thought they were all corporate owned and operated and Roseville is the closest to my home. read more

First and foremost, I got my food but it was overcooked and was surprisingly very low quality. Ordered online so I wouldn't have to go in and followed instructions. Let them know when I was there to pick up the food and - 30 minutes later - was still waiting, so I went in. Apparently your order can't be brought out if a drink isn't specified (which it was, I ordered Pepsi specifically) but instead of even sending someone out to let me know there was a problem, they were going to just leave my food there unless I happened to come in. I also didn't appreciate 2 separate workers at the same time telling me that *I* screwed up, especially when it was their system that screwed up. I get that it was kind of busy but I don't understand snapping at a customer that showed no hostility to begin with. Steer clear of the Roseville location and get your Panera Bread in another city. read more

I use to love Panera bread but today I have been to 31960 Gratiot Avenue, Roseville, MI 48066 Roseville branch and it was a disaster, I went it to pick up a cup of coffee and I am not sure it was the manager or who he was but he asked me can I help you? I said I need to get a cup of coffee he just turned his back and went back and ignored that I am still waiting for some help which is obviously there was no line and I ended up leaving because there was no one to help or anything... Ordered grilled cheese and tomato soup. The grilled cheese had two different types of bread, they put croutons in the soup already so it was mush and they did not have any baguettes or bread bowls left at 6pm. Love this Panera! Like half of my meetings end up being here and I bring people here because I know that the product and service is spot-on. Usually I just get coffee or Chai Tea, but on the odd occasion i'll snag a bakery item. One time I had soup. All terrific. Worth the price you pay. Great seating with some more private booths and an open seating area with big open windows to let the Sun in on all the hipster vampires. This is a great place to stop early or later after a round of shopping in the surrounding area. A perfect respite to tell all your war stories. Come for the coffee, stay for the giant, oversized, ridiculous muffins. read more

Once my boyfriend ordered a sandwich here (I can't remember what it was called) but it was pretty expensive and it had these weird pickled onions or something on it that just totally ruined the flavor of the entire sandwich. He couldn't even enjoy it, had to throw away an entire meal we had just paid for. Also, every SINGLE time I've wanted a bagel from here, I pull up and they tell me they're completely out of bagels at 12pm. Its a literal bakery themed restaurant, how do they not have enough bagels to last through the morning EVERY SINGLE DAY? Obviously they need to make some changes and make more bagels but apparently they just don't feel like it. I LOVE Panera bagels (when I get them from other locations) and I have not ONCE been able to order a bagel from this location. What a shame, do better. We are patrons of this Panera weekly and the last 7 times we've been to this location our order is either wrong, missing items or the food is not up to par. Out of the 7 times we've visited this location we have had brown lettuce, forgot key ingredients to our meals (bread bowls, cream cheese, dressings), stale bagels and alot of the times they are out of something. When our issue is corrected we get a lousy "sorry" but then it happens again the next time. This is unfortunate. We won't be back!! read more

Very disappointing, I checked multiple locations online for their hours. I thought I would surprise my kids and stop to get them a cinnamon toast bagel. The hours online stated they are open. They have all their lights on pull through drive through no answer. Pull up to go in and on a tiny sheet of paper they have their new hours listed at 8 am. So helpful. read more

They were out of several items [Turkey, Roast beef, and several bagel types] by 11:30am [prior to lunch] on a Saturday. The cashier didn't know how to ring up our gift card and told us their machine had not been working for them. That was because she was ringing them up wrong. The card says "ring as credit, not gift card". Then it worked. How many people unhappy did they have before me? The seating is not very comfortable at this location. A few lounge areas should be added, like in other locations. I saw only 1 wall plug .... not convenient for techies who need charging stations. Bathroom was out of paper towel, but was replaced as soon as I told them. Service was quick. Food was good. Soup was hot, grilled sandwich was hot and delicious. Specialty drinks (teas and lemonades) were really good. Overall, I'd find another location if I had a choice. read more

What can I say about Panera bread. I have been many times, it's okay. The food is okay and the drinks are okay too. There is nothing really memoriable about the place. The last time I visited Panera, I met a friend for a "date". I bought a pastry and she got some tea. She claimed the tea was the bomb. (I can't say, I never tasted it) The pastry was just alright. I enjoyed my time at Panera. I mean we talked for about two plus hours. And, that's saying something considering Panera is not like a "mom and pop" coffee shop designed for people to "chill" for hours. I really enjoyed myself, the place seemed to come alive. You know what, I had a very good time at Panera. I mean, I really liked the place. For those couple of hours, Panera Bread was my favorite place to eat. Was it the lighting, the polite staff, or the pastry? All I know is that, time had no meaning, I did not want to leave Panera. Man, I would have given this place 10 stars if I could. And, then somethig strange happened, I felt like Cinderella after after midnight. My coffee "date" ended. Now, Panera Bread looked and felt dreary. All of a sudden it hit me- it was the company and not Panera Bread. The time I spent with my friend was great. But, Panera was just average. Oh well, I wil always have the fond memories of pastry and tea at Panera Bread. Next time I will try that tea. read more

I've been coming to this Panera for years, it really is a hit or miss depending on the day. You either get good hot soup, or cold soup there is no in between. Definitely could get someone sick not maintaining proper food temperatures! They're often out of bread bowls and sometimes even bread! Continue to advertise items that have been discontinued. They did a nice remodel recent years inside but still lack on food representation. Today was especially bad. Out of creamy tomato soup. Modern caprese sandwiches have been discontinued apparently been discontinued so I ordered a Caesar and Greek salad instead just to get home and find chicken on them. We never asked to add chicken to them and the menu doesn't even show the salads having chicken at all. Me and my sister are vegetarian and don't eat meat, so to spend $30 on a meal and not even get what you asked for or can eat is frustrating. The modern Caprese sandwiches were a good option for vegetarians! I'm not sure if all Panera's discontinued it but this one in Roseville told us they had. I haven't been back since. And this was a few months ago. I love Panera as far as fast food goes but its definitely never consistent. read more

I went to this location the beginning of October and they were out of many breads and desserts. I had a $30 gift card to use. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich and after paying and waiting several minutes I was told they only had 2 bread choices left. Neither one sounded good with the sandwich I ordered so I asked if I could get a refund. They said they put it back on my card. I went back to that location yesterday and ordered food totaling just over $20 and I gave them my $30 gift card. They said the gift card only had $15 and I owed $5. They had never put my money back on my card. I also didn't receive the pastry I ordered but did not notice till I was home. I called the company when I got home they said they would send me a gift card in my email which I haven't received yet. The food was good but I would not recommend this location.
