My wife used to like Panera she recently went for a late breakfast with my daughter she tried to order croissant but they were out so she tried to order a bagel sandwich and couldn't find it on the order pad and couldn't get anyone to help she then ordered a chiabota with egg and bacon and the bacon was burnt tiny pieces she didn't finish it she then ordered a bagel and sour cream to go and they didn't give her a plastic knife to spread it needless to say she ain't eating there anymore read more

This is a convenient location in north Rochester. I think my only complaint is that it feels incredibly cramped inside, from the entrance to the food-waiting area to the tables. Food is usually pretty good- at least consistent from one visit to the next. The gentleman who checked me out this evening was very sweet, but overall the level of service at the Marketplace Dr. location has gone down over the years. Frustrated this evening, as I ordered my dinner to have in the restaurant, only to be told that the dining room was closing in 10 min (after settling in with my computer to catch up on some work while my son was at a practice in town). No sign posted at the doors to indicate this, or mention of it when ordering. Had I known, I would not have come here tonight. Asked to speak to a manager to politely share feedback, though staff couldn't locate one. My fiancee and I stopped here on the way to Minneapolis for a quick bite, waited for a to go order for the better part of an hour. Orders were called every five minutes minimum in spite of a half dozen employees working behind the counter. Love the food but this is the second time this location has really dragged on turnaround. They also struggled with running out of ingredients (had to go through 3 items before one of them had all of the necessary ingredients in the kiosk), and the dining room had several tables with visible garbage on them. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Rochester! I highly recommend. The people manning the cash registers are always incredibly friendly and quick. The food is out within minutes, even on busy days. I am absolutely in love with their tomato soup, and am a proud member of the sip club. I'll sit for hours here and do work. I seriously can't stress how awesome, concerned for your comfort and kind all the staff and management are. The managers must really be doing something right! Was told we were 3rd in line but they proceeded to take over 30 minutes without us moving up in line. We left before we got moved up because 45 minutes at PANERA is insane. Employees were invasive of privacy and didn't care about the well being of their customers. They claimed it would take 25 minutes but said they no longer knew after 45 minutes. So disappointed.. I wanted my favorite.. 12 veggie soup or minestrone and was told they discontinued them. So my 2nd fav was also deleted from the menu.. the wonderful chicken chili. The only one left that was not loaded w fat was chicken noodle. When I bought 2 bowls home for my mom and I, it was just broth, scant noodles, tiny bits of carrot and I counted 2 small chunks of chicken in my bowl. Right now employees standing around behind counter talking and people have to sit up against windows because the tables in the middle are all dirty. Today they were out of hazelnut and light roast. Met some friends here for brunch. We were there around 10:30am. It was little busy but not too bad. We figure that we would be ok since it was almost lunch that they would have more bagels for lunch. I had the steak and egg sandwich but when I came to pick up my order, there was no steak and they had pack it to go because they didn't know who the meal belonged to. If I didn't go up there to check on my food, I would be sitting there waiting until it was cold. The staff made it up by giving me a cookie and chips on the house. My husband ordered a simple egg sandwich on an everything bagel. Then they buzz him and said they are out of that kind of bagel and would a sesame one work and one he said yes they were out of that too so he ended up not getting his sandwich and ate the yogurt parfait we were suppose to share. read more

Normally, this particular Panera Bread is pretty well ran, but not lately. No yogurt means no smoothies. No flat bread means no pizzas. No smoothies and no pizza means no happy. On 11/1/2023, I ordered takeout soup and sandwich. I got home to discover they gave me the wrong soup, and they gave me a small size, but I ordered a large size. I went back to the restaurant with the food and my receipt, but the manager refused to replace it, and refused to refund my purchase. Love their food. Especially the soups! You can almost never go wrong with whatever you order! Their bread is so fresh too. My daughter loves their pastry, esp those with chocolate. First, I have to admit that I don't go to Panera by choice. Our men's group at church meets there once a month on Saturday morning, so I go along with the majority. I drink coffee, but I am not particular, so I can't judge their coffee. They offer several styles and blends, and they are all fine. I often order regular coffee and then ice it down with ice from the soda machine. I've never actually eaten their food, because our group meets at 10AM and that is midway between breakfast and lunch in my book. I don't ever eat donuts, muffins, or pastries (I just don't care for them) but the hot bagel sandwiches with ham and eggs look pretty good. The restaurant is a bit crowded and cramped on Saturday mornings. read more

After living without internet for 8 months I became a frequenter of Panera in my old city. I became used to a certain...standard of Panera food. I went here when I first moved to Rochester because, well, who can mess up Panera? They did. I only got the classic salad (which has become my favorite item on the menu due to the dressing) and it was a disappointment. The greens were wilty and soggy, there wasn't enough dressing, and the piece of bread they gave me on the side was, quite literally, ROCK HARD. Then after 2 tries it was decided that I pay when I come to pickup my order. I got there and drove through the drive through. I told her I forgot to mention, no ice on my lemonade. I'm a big fan of panera! I prefer their salads and their soups than many fancy restaurants I've tried! The only reason I don't rate it five is: They had baked potato soup and it was discontinued last year! I really liked that soup so when I saw Panera baked potato in target I got excited and bought many (my mistake) ,It didn't taste the same & we couldn't even finish them because it wasn't good. They have brought it in the Panera store again but it doesn't taste the same, I think the recipe is changed but it's fine! Much better than their product in target!
