UPDATE* I always…read moresay, one employee can make a difference with a customers experience. They can make a 5 star into a 1 star review and vice versa. I went into Chopt today 7/4 and had a totally different experience. The young lady was bending down, when she looked up and saw me, she gave a look of being surprised with a smile. She greeted me and offered her assistance. I ordered the southwest salad, she offered me to select another protein because the steak was finished. She also allowed me to omit the corn and substitute it with olives. She was very pleasant and helpful. .. her name is Janeiry. What an exceptional employee. Janeiry was no way shy about explaining anything and offered me to create my own toppings or salad. I hope Janeiry is recognizes as the module employee for not only giving 5 star service, but for converting 1 star back into a 5 star review and for making me a very happy customer. I feel good about returning to eat at Chopt. Janeiry has the skills for retaining customers and making them happy. Signed, the happy Yelper... Inspire more, Yelp more!

Their prices are very reasonable, I got a chicken and lamb combo which came with rice and salad for $9.99. It was super filling and had leftovers for another meal. I really liked the seasoning of the protein and how fresh the salad was. The bread and salad were fresh, and the toast was crispy and delicious. The whole place was filled with the wonderful aroma of freshly baked bread and brewing coffee. Since the store setup is more self-serve style, I wish customers would be a bit more mindful about keeping the space clean for the next group to enjoy their meal.

Floral Park Diner is a solid neighborhood spot for classic diner food, with a few standout items…read morethat keep us coming back. We've been there several times, and while not everything is amazing, the food is generally good and comforting. The star of the menu for me is the avocado toast - that's where they really get it right. The avocado toast is consistently fresh, well seasoned, and perfectly done every time. The pancakes are also very good: fluffy, tasty, and great for a weekend breakfast or brunch. One small thing that would make the experience even better is hot syrup. Warm syrup with those pancakes would take them to the next level. Service can be hit or miss depending on the day. On a previous visit, we had a server who dropped off the food and then basically disappeared until it was time for the check, which was disappointing. On our most recent visit, though, our server was the complete opposite: very attentive, friendly, and professional. It really made a difference in how much we enjoyed the meal. When we arrived this time, there was a line, but since there were only two of us and a table had just opened up, we were seated right away. That was a nice surprise and helped start the visit on a good note. All in all, Floral Park Diner is a nice local place, especially for breakfast or brunch. The food is good diner fare, some dishes shine more than others, and when the service is "on," it's a very pleasant experience. I'd recommend it if you're in the area and want a relaxed, neighborhood spot with great avocado toast and solid breakfast options. Quick summary: Excellent avocado toast - my favorite item Good pancakes (would love hot syrup) Service can be inconsistent Friendly, attentive service on our latest visit Convenient local spot for breakfast or brunch
