I don't like about Panera is that they always mess up on your order. Everytime we have luncheons at work the Dr chooses Panera and there is never a time everything is perfect. And Idk why the Dr still wants to order from them knowing they will mess up especially on her order. Sheesh! Anyways I only eat Panera whenever we have luncheons for work. After frequently visiting the Visalia Panera I was so ecstatic to find out that we were receiving our very own Panera!!!! And to top it off with a drive thru!!!! Well to my dismay our Porterville Panera is ran by terrible managers. They go thru managers like crazy. EVERY time I go thru the drive thru my 40 dollar orders are wrong or missing items. Every time !!!! I've called and complained to the managers and have been told by employees that this happens all day long. Really?! Who runs this store? Unfortunately I love the food but I don't see this Panera lasting much longer under this terrible management. Taco Bell never messes up my order. Never! I love this Panera location. The workers are especially friendly. The coffee (hazelnut's my fave) is delicious. So much seating...I can always get a table with an electrical outlet nearby. Love the free WiFi. Women's restroom and dining room are always clean. (I see workers cleaning the dining room throughout the day.) On the downside, music is often too loud, and it tends to get too warm in the back of the dining room. Oh well. I love this place anyway. I tried the pumpkin pie bagel. Not as good as I hoped. The food is great but only when the get your order right. I kid you not, this Panera in Porterville gets our order wrong 85% of the time. I'm not even exaggerating. I won't even order food here anymore. When we come here, my wife and kids get their food and I get food somewhere else or I eat at home. And yep, most of the time their order is wrong. The service sucks and they rarely get my order right. Now, I have 4 kids, and it's a big order usually 40-$50 every time and these cone heads get it wrong. This place is a joke. The Visalia Panera always gets my order right. So moral of the story is, go somewhere else. The people suck the prices suck and they can't get your order right. read more

The interior is pretty and has a lot of room, which makes it a decent option for studying and getting work done. But besides that, I'm not very impressed to be honest. The food is barely passable every time, and they've gotten my order wrong more than once. It's just not really worth the price, so I've since stopped coming here. read more

Stopped here on my way out of town since it's a drive thru. There was a couple pieces of paper in my mac n cheese, it was also super runny and my baguette was burnt on the bottom. Never had that happen at any other Panera. I only gave it stars for the nice lady at the window. read more

I like the rapid pick up feature, rapid pick up parking and their app makes ordering super easy. It's kind of pricey for the amount of food you get so I usually take advantage of promos and deals. Also several ingredients tend to not be available at any one time when building an order which can be a little disappointing. I guess maybe they dont keep a lot on hand so they stay fresh. I bought a tuna sandwich and a coffee at Panera in Porterville. I was not happy with my food . My food was too plain and without flavor. The bread was not soft. I also think the prices are high. Absolutely horrible, don't waste your time. This is the worst ran panera on earth. They run out of everything on a daily basis. On four straight visits spanning about 2 months I had to choose 3 to 4 different breads because they were out of everything else. read more

An honest customer turned it in, and the manager, Juan Garcia, went out of his way to locate me, and return my wallet! Panera is the best! They have fresh baked goods and the soups are the best! I like the quiet atmosphere here!

So first I'd like to say that the quality of the food has always been great, breads fresh, pastries delicious, meats are juicy. BUT every time I go here they get my order wrong, I would say 8 out of 10 times it's wrong. So I check and double check my stuff before leaving the drive thru. And I don't understand why they make the sandwiches the way they do, I always have to "remake" my sandwich when I get home. I usually get a Turkey Avocado BLT and the meat is always in a gob in the center and the avocado is in big chunks so that if you take a bite a chunk comes falling out the bottom. I usually get my mom the Tuna Sandwich and it's the same way, a big ol scoop right in the middle. And they always smoosh my sandwich, I don't need it to be flat. I accidentally left my lemonade when I took my to-go order and the dark-haired girl (short hair) who placed my order held it for me until I came back. Big fan of Panera Bread. Good food, clean, and friendly staff. The drive thru on the other hand is slow as all get out. If they ran the inside liked they do the drive thru, they would have no customers. I've been in line for 20 minutes. Tonight was my third visit to this location, all visits were around 6 p.m. Each visit has been a disappointment! Every time they have been out of the bread for the sandwich I'm ordering, a panni. Tonight was the LAST STRAW. They only had sour dough and wheat bread. I can get those at the grocery store. How the heck are they to make a panni work those? It's just OK. Most stuff is fairly pre-made tasting. The chicken used has an ok seasoning but has been pretty dry and grainy tasting every time I have eaten there. Soups are from a bag. Even the bread is pre-made and they just rise then bake it in the shop. Way too expensive for the quantity as well as quality. I like the atmosphere and the self-serve teas and coffees. read more
