I have visited the Avondale location. It is a bit dark and gloomy, smells like mildew and I always leave with a stuffy nose. I only opened with the to say that BY FAR, the Laveen Panera Bread is my favorite location. They greet EVERYONE, when you arrive, they offer to assist you even when you are at the self help kiosk. I rarely have a problem with the food or service. If I do, my girl Ricky corrects it immediately. The staff is always helpful, patient and accommodating. They also do not rush you out. They will bring your food to you, and ask if you need anything else as well as inquire if the food and service was to your liking. I love the stretch booth here as it has USB ports and also outlets. Many people can come enjoy a meal and study, or accomplish work. I have tried several salads, soups, pastries, and sandwiches. I have yet to try the wraps as they are relatively new. I have never been disappointed with the presentation or taste of my food. And I don't modify it. The restrooms are clean and stocked, and their rewards program is awesome. I love that you can stack an offer (randomly given the more you eat here) while redeeming your rewards points. Usually restaurants will let you use an offer or coupon, or a redeem a reward, but not simultaneously in one order. I recommend the mix and match or the You pick two. I often can order from either and split the cost with a coworker. You can choose from a plethora of salads, soups, sandwiches, or salads. If you haven't stopped by, you are missing out! I personally recommend the half portions. Unless you want lunch and dinner for two days. Portions are generous. read more

Ate Panera yesterday for lunch. The place was busy but clean. My husband had the half Chicken Salad Sandwich with the Fuji Apple Chicken Salad and a Dragon fruit drink. It was fantastic. So appealing to the eye and tasty. I had the Italiano Sandwich and the same Salad. Mine was the same appealing to the eye and so delicious I only let him have one bite of my sandwich. It looks lovely from the outside and is clean on the inside (including the bathroom). The food tastes exactly like it does at other locations. Panera gets my vote for consistency. If you walk in and order an old dried-up leather boot, that is precisely what you will get. It will taste like all the other old dried-up leather boots. It is really incredible how they consistently make healthy food that tastes good and is not loaded with too many calories. My disappointment is with the service. When you belong to the SIP club, they identify you by your phone number. I gave the order taker at the counter my phone number three times. I do not have an accent. The counter help said she could not find my account. She asked me if I had Panera's software on my cell phone. I showed it to her. She said she would give me a free cup of coffee. It was no compensation. That is what the Sip club is about (complimentary beverages). I went to the self-order Kiosk. Put in my phone number. It showed that I was a member entitled to more than a cup of coffee. I did not go any further with my complaint. Service is a problem at this location. read more

I just want to say that I think that Panera intentionally screws up my order on purpose. 9 out of 10 times my order has been wrong and missing items. My wife enjoys the Asian salad. Unfortunately the salad is made wrong. The chicken is missing or the wontons are missing. I always ask for extra dressing because 1 isn't enough. Lately I've been ordering extra wontons. Today I ordered extra extra wontons and never received any. It says on the receipt that the cashier was Celeste and she wrote in extra asian vinaigrette and No Wontons. Why why why can't the orders get made correctly? This is getting to be to frequent. You will be losing business if this continues. Somebody needs to step up and train the staff. This location just opened in my neighborhood and I'm so happy because I'm a huge fan of Panara! I ordered the Mediterranean Chicken Greens w/ Grains salad and it was delicious! My only rant was this location was extremely slow! I ordered via the app and chose to pick up in the drive thru and I waited over 20 mins in line. There wasn't a way to get out of the drive thru as I was blocked in by other vehicles. Also, in place of the baguette, for my side I opted for the chips and they still gave me the baguette. I love Panera, their food has always been one of my favorites. I usually order through the drive-through, but I decided to eat inside one day, and I had the best experience. The lady working there, I'm not sure if shes a manager or just part of the crew, but she is so nice. She made sure everyone was satisfied with their order, and she was super sweet. Went through the drive thru yesterday. Got a pick 2 and a loaf of bread for dinner. Got home, no loaf of bread. I call the store and they tell me they can't refund over the phone and that I have to physically bring the card in. DUMBEST POLICY EVER. I live 25 minutes away. So I didn't go back yesterday. Can I just say how excited I am to have a Panera Bread in Laveen!?! I came here for the first time this evening and used the drive through service .... Very pleased! The young lady was clear, patient and professional. She made sure my order was correct, asked for my name and said thank you. There was a small but to long of a wait but it's drive through, that's expected. I get to the window and there were 2 friendly young ladies who were so polite and kind. One was taking the orders while the other one service the window. I got my food, smoked chicken bbq sandwich and chicken noodle soup . I came home and my food was still nice and warm and tasty! 03/13 7pm went thru the drive thru to pick up an online order, when I pulled up the young lady literally just stared at me with no greeting, no smile, nothing. I greeted her and told her I was here for an online order to which I was snapped back in response that NEXT TIME I needed to let them know ahead of time I was here for my order so that I wouldn't hold up the line. Dramatically reached for my order and rolled her eyes. Management needs to retrain or rehire their employees so that are customer oriented and friendly! My wife and I had the misfortune to stop by this Panera Bread late Saturday afternoon. We placed our orders with a very pleasant lady at the counter and sat down at our table when we noticed that there were only a few people in the restaurant. I mentioned how unusual it was not to be busy with more customers. We had to ask for our food after a long wait, which was cold and not made to order. The chile was horrible, sandwiches incorrectly prepared. They forgot to give me my coffee which one of the guys in the kitchen found hidden off to the side and cold. No offer to heat it up or apologies for the poor service or questions about our food. He just turned and ran to the back of the kitchen. No one made any attempt to ask us if we wanted anything else or about the quality of our food. No wonder other restaurants nearby were so busy while this one was slow. We threw out most of our food and left totally disappointed and will never return. It is unfortunate since we have found Panera Bread locations on the east and west coast constantly great food, service and very clean. This location deserves to be closed. read more

We ordered 2 sandwiches for pickup. The AVo had no avocado in it & no indication of which was which....this was 2 weeks ago. Well, we thought, mistakes can be made. So we ordered 2 sandwiches today, & here is what we got...neither was marked as to which sandwich is which. When we opened them, the avo had no avocado in it, & the one which should have had bacon had none. Well, we could say if it was busy but it was not!!! read more

Tried this new location, went through the drive through and ordered. Waited for our food for about 20-25 mins in the drive through line. About 10 mins into waiting in the drive through employee told me that our food would be right out but proceeded to wait another 15 mins. Received our food and doubled checked before we left we were missing 2 items that were in fact on the receipt. I went inside and the cashier looked at my receipt, went to her manager in which she told me "he packed the bags himself can you bring the bags back in". I brought the bags in and "the manager (guy)" looked at my receipt went through my bags and said "everything's correct but I guess I'll give you, your missing items" I was very polite with the staff, the cashier was sweet she offered a pastry while I waited for her manager but I said It was okay. I was excited for Panera to open in Laveen, but unfortunately the sandwiches (have tried three times) are not consistent with what I've received at other Panera locations. The customer service is definitely not up to par....not rude, but not friendly and certainly not concerned that you're satisfied. Waited 20 mins in drive thru and being the only car in line , once we recieved our food , they forgot some of our food items . We had parked to talk with them inside to confirm what was missing , but an attitude was given back from manager (it was a guy) , he insured we were wrong but we had taken the food back in with our receipt ... he told us that we will do this only this one time .
