Tried to dine here on a road trip on Sunday night. The closed at 7:30 for an employee function. Poor management!

Garbage, avocado hard like rubber. I should have listened to the other bad reviews. Girl at the counter was nice. Dirty tables everywhere and they are not busy. Few employees standing around talking. Im sitting here feeling sorry for the unsuspecting travelers stopping of I-20. I will say the broccoli soup is good, but it comes in a bag from a warehouse. So great job heating up some soup. read more

Why did I bother going here? All the "healthy hype" and you are still served something called chicken Alfredo that included 4 o 5 slender pieces of pulled chicken (baby bites) and undercooked noodles. The clerk told us it was "this big" indicating a large oval bowl. $12.50..what a waste of money. Pizza Hut personal pan pizza was 4:50..got it hot and juicy!! read more

ONE STAR TOO MANY. honestly I couldn't be more disappointed with Panera Bread at the oxford exchange. My first time leaving the house since I had my daughter in January, and my friend needed to stop for a quick lunch. As we parked in front of the sign that read "curbside ordering & delivery" my baby started to have a meltdown in the back seat. I had to sit in the back to attend to her because she is a breast fed baby and needed a moment of my time. they had a kid delivering orders to cars outside, so we gave them a call to place an order. The lady on the phone had a horrendous attitude, and insisted we use the drive-through for service- even after explaining not being able to drive while breastfeeding a baby in the backseat. She was beyond rude, did not answer questions about the menu, and didn't seem to want to deal with customers. She eventually agreed to take the order after explaining to her multiple times why we couldn't go through A DRIVE THRU WITH A BABY WHO IS FEEDING, & OUT OF HER CAR SEAT. Not customer friendly. Not convenient. I've always loved their food but honestly I felt mom shamed in such a stressful moment, as if she just didn't want to help us or deal with us at all. Food is amazing but the staff ruined it. By the time we got the food, I didn't eat it because I was so bothered by the service. so sad with their performance during such a tough time. If you aren't offering CURBSIDE ORDERING AND DELIVERY TAKE THE DAMN SIGN DOWN. They were delivering to others, but not to us for some reason. I couldn't be more disgusted with them. read more

I tried to order 2 decaf coffees at 6pm on a Saturday night. According to the cashier, they are not to make decaf after 2 pm. There is no signage indicating this 2 pm rule. After manager intervention, a pot of decaf was made. A customer came in right after and she ordered decaf online along with a meal. When I left at 830, the entire pot of coffee was drunk. Strange decaf rule, as some people don't want to be caffinated in the evening. read more

I've only visited this location once and it was surprising to see a store still running like an old Panera from 4-5 years ago. My usual location and other, none of which in this area have all been updated and have embraced technology. This location on the other hand doesn't have an order from your phone or kiosk option. That isn't a real problem until you interact with the employees and quickly realize that apparently all the employees are having a bad day and really don't want to interact with customers. I'll definitely keep an eye out for another location to frequent when I'm in town. read more

Stopped between Atlanta and Bham travel on 20. Great option for health eating. Quinoa bowl with eggs and side salad is plenty for two people. Make it as spicy as your test buds can handle. Clean and new facility. 4 starts because customer service can improve a bit with friendliness. read more

Wow! What a great and friendly group. We showed up 10 minutes before opening and they unlocked the door for us. That so made our day.

This is without doubt the absolute WORST Panera bread on the planet! The counter help took 6 orders before fulfilling any of the requests. Took me 10 minutes to get a pecan braid and scone. read more

This restaurant is amazing. The food is organic and chemical free,there are not artificial ingredients or preservatives and it tastes amazing in your mouth. I just ate a cinnamon roll this morning and it was like magic. I highly recommend this restaurant. read more

Food is always good, but the last 4 times we've been, they've been out of staple items (Bread bowls twice and steak twice). We only come on the weekends, when they should really be fully stocked. The cashier Mary leaves a lot to be desired, she's never friendly or very helpful, but everyone else is always fantastic. read more

We always stop here when traveling through the area. Not again. Friendly, but extremely incompetent service. Forgot our order entirely and continued to take orders and serve others. While we stood there and waited for the 2 pastries we paid for. And watched others getting their food. read more

I would give negative stars if I could. I ate at Panera when it first opened and was very disappointed with how much I paid for not a lot of food. I decided I wouldn't eat here again. The other day my father decided to get lunch and so I said I would give it another chance. I got the broccoli and cheddar soup and it was good. I was up that whole night throwing up. It had to have been the soup because I had not ate anything other than that. They need to check their food. Not recommended. read more

Being a seasoned traveler and on the go was visiting family and popped in for a bagel and coffee. In general greeting was pleasant, and girl taking order was nice. I order a coffee,toasted bengal and cream cheese. When I picked my toasted bagel up the employee that called out my pickup was very Kurt and dismissive, I asked for my cream cheese, in which she informed me that "it ain't free!" (their words not mine lol) I assured her that I was aware of this and had ordered it. She said it was not ordered so I asked to please put it in my bag while I went back through line to pay for it, she tossed it on counter as she ( in a not so friendly manner) replied "here, just take it". I frequent Panera bread company in my travels and have never had the experience at any location as I have at this one. To top it of the bagel that I ordered toasted was not even toasted, but after the treatment from the one person, I took my bagel and gladly left!!! read more

Just traveling on I20E and stopped to eat at Panera, which is right off the interstate. I have a gluten allergy, so Panera is the lesser evil of all the fast food on the interstate. Steve, the manager, was really great! I get the same gluten free items at Panera each time and Steve made sure the workers changed their gloves before preparing my meal. Thankful for understanding and helpful workers! The food was delicious too :) read more

Used to stop at this Panera often going from Birmingham to Atlanta. Recently went there, and it was pathetic. I got you pick two and my panini was literally the size of saltine cracker. It was bizarre how small it was. I went back to the counter to ask for a different one that is the normal size and the lady got mad at me for bothering her and telling me it wasnt her problem. She said the bread was cut that morning and they cant fix that. She offered no compensation for this fun size panini. It was so unprofessional and flat out rude. Will never return. read more

I look forward to coming here most of the time. I do however wish that the employees would not stand outside smoking near the dumpster. I've seen an upper management guy there before along with employees in bakery aprons. It is such a turn off that I typically change my mind if I have decided to eat there and see that going on. I kind of lose my appetite when I think about someone making my food & serving me that's just been outside smoking at the dumpster. When I see this going on at businesses I often wonder what the franchise director or even the home office thinks about these kind of things. I know there are smokers out there but maybe they could smoke in their car and not out in front of everyone. read more

I would have given 4 or 5 stars but this morning when I went through the drive thru the service was very slow and the drive thru server was eating what looked like a brownie. Incredibly slow service. Ordered oatmeal. Place was empty at 9:30 am. Waited 15 minutes while 5 staff were behind counter playing catch with avocados. When they finally acknowledged me standing there they started making my oatmeal. Slowly. Then they were out of ingredients for it. I think maybe they have never made it before. I suggested that they just skip it and give me a bagel since that seemed easier to me. read more

Very friendly and courteous staff . This is our lunch stop on the way to Atlanta . Food has always been good.

Coming from out of town, this was the perfect place to stop on our way to Birmingham. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. The manager checked on us several times. Excellent food and great outdoor seating! read more

I really enjoy the meals served at Panera. I know they cost a couple of dollars more than a Big Mac Value meal, but the quality of ingredients is so much better. I like the service. I have been frequently enough that the staff know me and are very friendly. read more
