The customer service is terrible. I ordered a turkey bacon ranch online due to having to back at work for a meeting and they did not put any bacon on my sandwich. I called back to just inform them of the mishap and the little girl hung up on me. I then called back and asked why she hung up and she stated she did not. As I general rule I enjoy firehouse subs, both the service and food. Every now and then you meet the exception. I will not be back to the Oxford/Anniston location because the people there are not welcoming and quite rude. I have never had the cajun mayo and askes for it on the side in case i didnt want it on the entire sub. They literally laughed in my face because I asked for a sauce on the side and acted like it was a huge deal. Delicious. Got the NY Steamer, which is a pastrami sandwich served hot. The bread was good, condiments were good, pastrami was very good but not a whole lot in a Small sub. We are on a road trip so just passing through and I was so exciterd to see a Firehouse Subs. I called while at the gas station up the road so that we could be quick about it. A woman picked up, put me on hold and never came back. We drove to the restaurant to find about 5 workers in the back chatting it up and no sandwiches being made. Ugh. They were apologetic and kind when we told them what happened, but it was just a little irritating that what could have been a short visit, wasn't. My son and I decided to each order and then split our sandwiches so we both get a little of both... We Ordered the large Steamer $7.79, added a combo; drink and chips for $2.29 and the regular Hero for $6.19. The Steamer; Corned Beef and Pastrami w/Provolone, Lettuce, Mustard and Mayo. How could you go wrong w/Pastrami and Corned Beef?! You Can't! It was fabulous! The Hero; Roast Beef, Smoked Turkey and Virginia Honey Ham w/Provolone, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Mustard and Mayo. This was our favorite of the two! YUMMO, The bread is so delish! There are tons of hot sauces to top your sandwich with AND you can sample them. I just discovered this place. The atmosphere is friendly, and every staff member greets every customer as they walk in. The food is great. I had the New York Steamer last time. They have one of those Coke fountains with 100s of different combinations of drinks, which is awesome. I think they have every hot sauce known to mankind, and they are all labeled on a heat scale of 1-9 so you know what you are getting. read more

My boyfriend Chris and I go here once a week, during what I consider to be their lunch rush. The staff here is excellent. They remember you by name once you go there on a regular basis. As for the sandwiches, they are delicious sandwiches. Typical Firehouse Subs menu-but they take care of you. The sandwiches are loaded, the people are as nice as can be, what more could you ask for? They also have the Coke machine that lets you select the flavor of the drink. Not sure if that's exclusive to this Firehouse, but it's a nice addition considering the sandwich combo is a bit expensive.
