Went here once it was completely filthy. I was with friends from out of town. The sign mentioned a free item with purchase of an entree we had 3 breakfasts and not one item was offered, I believe it was Waffle Wednesday. We were there early and it was not busy yet our orders took forever and the food was very cold. One of my guests couldn't even eat it as it was so cold and nasty. Horrible place to eat, horrible service, food was burnt, I had to tell the waitress multiple times what I wanted. I ordered the country fried steak and it came out with brown gravy instead of white, I got a side salad with ranch, when that was brought out it came without ranch and I had to tell her twice what dressing I wanted, no refills on drinks and THERE WAS NO ONE ELSE WAS THERE !!!!! First time there. Hanna was our server. Friendly, happy, just the kind of person you want to say good morning to. THE FOOD: The Meat lovers omelet that was put on the table was rounded because it had so much stuff in it! It was fluffy, light. First bite was filled with bacon and cheese and sausage flavors that made you want to eat slowly so you could savor the flavor. It was hot from start to finish and I liked that you could see and hear the cook sizzle that food. Grits tasty, toast hot with butter melting on it. Coffee was hot and good. Went to this location over the weekend and was beyond disappointed. There wasn't a single clean table in the entire restaurant. That is not an exaggeration. Each table had dirty plates and cups and there was a stack about 2ft high of dirty dishes on the bar counter. Not a single employee greeted us. We simply walked back out after seeing how awful it was. We asked around and a few other ladies told us it is ALWAYS like that there. I hope they hire more help or better help. Walking in you will feel like this place use to be a Waffle House because it's set up just like a Waffle House. Going in, you will seat yourself once a table opens. After finding a seat, it took a few min for the waitress to ask us what we wanted to drink but not too bad. It did however take a bit to long for them to bring the drinks. Once the food was ordered it took about 20 to get to the table. I'm gonna rate the food taste & quality at about a 7 out of 10. Toast was cold but other then that, the flavor was pretty good and filling. Took me to remind the waitress to refill my coffee but all around a pretty good experience. The waitress was decent and got our stuff quickly but the cook had to bring our meal out and she actually smelled body odor! To the point we didn't want our meal. Ugh!!! My wife's waffle was actually cold also. There was a male cook there on nights that is really good and fast. They need to bring him to mornings or hire some like him. Having a cook that smells that bad of body odor isn't a good sign for the food safety. read more

When our food came and it wasn't even close (ordered biscuits and gravy and got hashbrowns with cheese and toast). We ordered a grill cheese and instead of an adult sandwich we ended up with a kids meal. They tried to charge for two orders of pancakes when we only got one. They even charged extra for the cheese we didn't ask for. The waitress we had was nice but had no idea what she was doing. All of the other employees seemed entirely unwilling to help. Like to go Huddle House. My husband loves his breakfast. I ordered a western omelet and could not eat it. The omelet was like wet and almost slimy on bottom. My husband's eggs were also like this. I got sliced tomatoes and they tasted like tomatoes bought in winter with no taste. We paid $25.00 for this meal and it was nowhere worth it. Her country fried steak same thing with cold white gravy substitute. Then it screwed up her digestive system. Nice place to have a meal. I went in for breakfast and was very impressed with the cleanliness and the nice service. I had the stuffed hash browns with bacon, sausage, and cheese and a side of pancakes and it all was delicious. Misty was our server and she was very nice and very polite. I have lived in Dega nearly 4 yrs. hubby and I go out to eat often. I have never had a perfect experience at Huddle house. 9 times out of 10 sub par would be an overstatement to say the least. Tonight was different. There is a new girl there. Danielle. We were immediately tended to with professionalism. It was clear at that moment that our service was going to be good. I watched her handle several tables and ours with ease. Our food was brought to us all at once which has never happened. Our coffee cups were continuously full. Our plates were perfect. The food was perfectly cooked and the presentation was beautiful. The hash browns were ordered extra crispy and they came out perfectly golden brown. kudos to Will and his helper tonight. They nailed it.I have a feeling Huddle House will see a surge in their patronage as long as they have people like Danielle and Will. I hope they are recognized for a job well done. read more

My waitress was excellent! (Tasha) I asked for two plain pancakes and sausage. The cook accidentally made one with strawberry's and whipped cream. But she let me have that one and a replacement! I also asked if they could put my sausage back on the grill. They gave me a replacement of sausage and an extra waffle for waiting. I had so much food on the table i didn't know what to do.
