One day I wanted something different to eat. Panera popped into my little head. It had been years since I'd eaten there...and I wondered why I never eat there anymore. Then I ate there. And I remembered why. The food isn't that good. The chicken sandwich they've been touting is roasted, and had a weird flavor. I was expecting crispy chicken breast. I threw 1/3 of it away. The broccoli cheddar mac & cheese was kinda watery. The cheese definitely needed to be thicker. Their bagels are their best product, along with the cream cheese toppings. The baked goods aren't bad. They coffee is pretty good. But don't go through the drive-thru line thinking your order will be a a quick pick up. You are gonna WAIT in the drive-thru line....a long time. I mean like ... late-for-work-when-you-left-home-early. Here's another issue I have - when I order on the app, why do I only have a choice of in-store pick up, or curb-side pick up? I had the best experience I have ever had at a Panera because of Brian. I was unable to place my order for a baker's dozen of bagels on the app and called to place my order. Brian answered and was extremely helpful, personable and knowledgeable. I felt as if there was nothing more important for Brian to be doing at that moment, than assisting me. When I picked up my order I was able to see Brian in action. He treated ever customer whom he came in contact, with all of the above mentioned qualities. You have an excellent employee in Brian. Even though there is a Panera closer to my home (Warren), I will gladly drive the extra distance to Niles because of the excellent service provided me today. So we decide to get Panera today, a Saturday. Ordered on app ahead of time and did it for lobby pick up 2 and a half hours later! Set pickup for 2:15pm. Went in, picked up food and headed for home. 11min drive home go in start dishing food out and they forgot a sandwich. Ordered 5 sandwiches. Figured it's Panera. Peaked in bag looked full. Saw 5 little bags of chips too. Looked ok on quick glance. Had to load back up and go get the food that was forgotten that we paid for. Go in, they pull everything out and start handling the packed sandwiches then say let's open everything so we can tell for sure. Had to open every package so they can find the proper missing item. Not only was my food therefore not fresh but it was opened. I paid over $60 plus a tip for 5 fresh sandwiches. That didn't happen here. They comped a little bowl of Mac and cheese and made the missing sandwich. So I'm gonna be eating unfresh opened food now. $60 plus tip! Thanks Panera! read more

Late review from fall last year. Hopefully things have improved. Just visited from Virginia. Different way of doing things here than down south. Down south, they bring your food to your table and don't forget a cup when you order a drink with your meal. Not the best experience. read more

I came here to get bagels and coffee for the painters at my friends house in the am. I did not call ahead but they were super accommodating and helped me make the right choice in bagels to get. Was able to make the painters morning by bringing them something to drink and eat. read more

HORRIBLE!! I believe this is the worst Panera Bread establishment in the area! Definitely skimp on food quality! The drinks are watery too. Just ordered a flatbread. Toppings only in the center and as dry as can be. Probably not more than 2-3 tablespoons of disuse on the entire flatbread. It tasted like the cardboard box in which it was delivered. read more

I love our local Panera. Usually I have them deliver soup to the house - which I have to say is the most wonderful thing ever when you are sick!! Their delivery service is normally excellent and in the past year I think we only had one bad experience and they fixed it right away! So my sister and I stopped in for a quick healthy lunch and did a two for deal. She chose Mac and Cheese and a side Caesar and I had the Creamy Tomato soup and 1/2 a grilled cheese. Her salad was huge but sadly they used iceberg lettuce mixed with a little romaine so it wasn't as good as a normal Caesar salad but the dressing was amazing! Their Mac and cheese is one of the next best thing to homemade that you can get. It's crazy creamy and delicious. The best part is its organic! For my family that's a huge plus as my sister can only eat organic foods! My soup and sandwich hit the spot. I loved the robust flavor of the creamy tomato soup and the grilled cheese was spot on perfect. Just what I wants on a chilly December day! It was my first time having this soup - I normally have the French onion and I will def say I'll be having the tomato more often now! read more

I stopped in here to get a quick lunch. I was just in here the day before and had the strawberry chicken salad, which is my favorite salad. So I ordered the strawberry salad, payed for it and went over to the pick up window. The lady at the window lets me know that the strawberry salad is no longer available. The manger lets me know it was a seasonal item that was taken off the menu this morning. So I ordered the Fuji Apple salad instead, which I had before. They asked if it was ok that the dressing was already on the salad. I said it was fine. Then they give me a half sized portion when I paid for a full. So they took it back and gave me a full. It look liked they just dumped the half size portion into a larger container. They was really no toppings on the salad. It didn't even look appetizing. They was literally 3 tomatoes and apples. My friend even pointed out that it didn't even look good and she ordered the same Fuji Apple salad the day before. I was very disappointed because they could of just gave me a great salad and I would of been happy. But the fact that they messed up three times and didn't even offer a free treat or anything thing else as stated on the receipt is disappointing. The Peach and Blueberry non-dairy smoothie was delicious. We also ordered an iced coffee with chocolate syrup, and were given an empty cup with some syrup squirted in it. We had to make our entire drink, adding ice, pouring *hot* coffee in the cup, and mixing it up. It ended up not even tasting that great, and being a huge waste of money in my opinion. We paid for the service, so at least follow through with it! read more

I don't think you could go wrong with Panera in general. This specific location though, isn't very impressive. The service is horrible. I have yet to encounter a decent employee at this location. I've had to wait almost 25mins at the drive thru at 9, when they closed at 10 and get an attitude with the employee at the window. When it comes to the drive thru whatever you do don't go through the drive thru. It's the biggest rip off ever. You pay the same price and get half the food. Panera is pricy as it is. Inside you definitely get your money worth. Get your food to go inside! As far as food, I've never had a bad meal at Panera. The broccoli chicken soup is by far the best I've ever had. I'm not a fan of their sandwiches, but all the salads are very good. They have some of the best lemonade too. read more

This place is by far the worst Panera in the valley. Employees are full of attitude and really don't want to help. Around closing time they won't even help you at all if you're waking in late. Drive thru is awful. You wait 20 minutes for a latte. Managers are even worse than employee they want nothing more than to get you in and get you out. They will make fun of you after you leave. Better off going to an actual sit down restraunt. You'll pay less and get better service. read more

I should have read the reviews first. My sister and I were visiting a friend in Warren. I decided to get a sandwich and side from Panera since it was close to the stores we wanted to shop and Panera is "usually" consistent. But, nooooo!! This Panera was one of the rogue Panera Breads that exist but should be closed. I ordered a whole turkey and swiss with lettuce and tomato with a mac n cheese side. The mac and cheese was purely awful--extremely thin and runny, not hot, and the macaroni was al-most crunchy. Smelled funky and tasted like the kind of mac and cheese one makes in the little cups---ewwwwwww! And, it's very pricey for a small cup of that mess. The "whole" turkey sandwich with swiss was just weird. The turkey meat was clearly from a package of lunch meat probably purchased at a local supermarket. It was pale,thin and formed meat of some kind. Not identifiable as turkey. Panera usually serves turkey sliced from a whole turkey breast, not pre-sliced packaged lunch meat. Tomato was mushy and old and the lettuce was limp. (Pickle was okay.) The swiss cheese smelled sour, and not in a good way. I like aged cheese, just cut the mold off it first, kids. (Kid is the key word here as there were teens at the window and teens in the kitchen.) The weirdest part was the presentation of two tiny sandwiches I received in place of one large sandwich cut in half. Panera=bread. Did you run out of bread, too? So $12.00, down the drain. Inedible. Great experience! The manager Courtney, helped me decide which pastries were best for my business meeting she had a great selection of options and very friendly. I also ordered a pick two with caeser salad that I changed the chicken to steak and had the wild rice soup. Very great food and service!
