We ordered, dine-in, two coffees, a sandwich and a toasted bagel. Sandwich served quickly ... and completely eaten while I was still waiting for my bagel almost 15 minutes later. When I asked if I'd be getting my bagel soon, I was told "Sorry ... but she's working on orders for 18 bagels." While getting my refund, realized why my puny eat-in order was of no importance at all to them ... they would rather I wait than their big-order on-line customers (see photo - pick-up rack chocked full of others' big orders). Ordered online and received correct items (two sandwiches). However, when we unwrapped out sandwiches we discovered how little of thought was put into them. The worker who made our sandwich didn't even spread the cranberry spread over the sandwich. Instead, they plopped it onto with all the other ingredients and wrapped it up. Then I went up front to the counter, nothing there. I was then told it would be right out. Then I was told it was up front, and they brought it to me. Very unprofessional here. This store closes too early on short notice and it was on a Saturday evening and not a holiday. I was about to send my order in through the app since I had a 20 percent off offer to use, but was stopped at the door. Problem with this area is that there are no other Panera locations for many miles, unlike where I live where there are several Panera stores to choose from. The Panera Bread near my home closes at 10 PM on Fridays and Saturdays and this New Hartford NY store was already closed after 7 PM on Saturday. I decided to go across the road for dinner instead. They just lost $16 of business and really earned this 1 star. read more

I have been to this location 3 times. It's clean, quick and very friendly. Ordering through the app is very user friendly and easy to customize. They have always gotten my order correct with my customizations. I've always ordered the pick 2 with the half chipotle avocado smoked chicken sandwich (customized with no cilantro) Really good! For the second I've ordered: Mac and cheese: good, consistent. French onion soup: decent, I would prefer a little more cheese. I used to LOVE Panera, ten years ago. But for several years now, it has been just too busy to keep up quality, and probably to keep employees. The solution would be to open a second branch nearby. How I wished they had opened a branch in North Utica! They should care that their model only works if the place is comfortable and serves good, comforting food. It fails when the atmosphere is crowded & hectic, and the rushed food contains mistakes. The store managers are likely worn out, and the owners obviously don't care. Once again the order was missing components. A bacon egg and cheese sandwich with no bacon or cheese is not what I payed for. This is a problem every time that I have picked up food from this location and will be the last time that I ever order food from this place. Paying for food that is not received is outright theft. We were on a trip to New York and needed a good place to have a filling breakfast. The familiar Panera Bread was the place we decided to go since it always has very good food. I got an egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on an Asiago bagel with a bottle of orange juice. It was very good and very filling. The restroom needed some repair. The stall was missing the door latch which made it unusable unless you wanted to take the chance of someone pushing the door open. The paper towel dispenser wasn't working properly so it was difficult to get some to dry my hands. Overall it was a pleasant experience. Panera never lets you down with their food and I always consider it one of my favorite places to go for a meal any time of day. read more

I am no stranger to the Panera chain but I have got to say that this is one of my favorite ones I have been to. Maybe it's because its larger than the ones I usually go to in Manhattan though. Because this is a chain, most of Panera's food is usually on the same level when it comes to taste and freshness. Theres is a lot of seating and its super open and spacious. I love the kiosks and they make ordering so much easier. I also find that there's less of a chance of the servers making a mistake in your order. If there is a mistake, though, the servers are really nice about it and are quick to fix it. In general, this place is really clean and the service is good. I'm going to start out by saying that I LOVE Panera. I go there 2-3 times a month. The food is always fresh, tastes great, and I don't feel horrible after a meal from there. Today I ordered my usual Fuji Apple Chicken Salad. It's THE BEST! I ordered rapid pick up, paid online, walked in grabbed my salad and came home. I use to love Panera bread. This location has gone downhill over the last couple of years. Every time I order the food is sloppy, burnt, or completely wrong. Don't ever order a flatbread here. They literally serve you a crunchy piece of pita bread with the fillings on the side because they all slipped out during the "make it from the grill to the box" step. The only thing I can count on to be good is a bagel which is now the only thing I go there for because I know trying anything else will be a waste of my money. I'm not one to complain usually. I use to manage a Dunkin Donuts. I know how it is. But if my old store served product like this....its just not acceptable. This location isn't worried about their customer base because they don't have a competitor at the moment. Also the young girls they hire there are always miserable, or pay no attention to their customer. They'll be chatting away with their friend or finish their text before they even look up to say hi how can I help you? REALLY?! I seriously hate coming here.
