Unruly service. No one to take our order and we are calling for someone to come out. Girl comes out bothered and somewhat annoyed. We ask her a question about calories says I dont know and walks off. Moments later Manager comes out who shows up apprehensive and no where NEAR friendly. We normally do not get breakfast at Panera and now I see why. I came in on Friday around 5:00 pm. I ordered two coffees; one was a normal hot coffee and the other was a specialty. I was one of 3 customers in there and they weren't serving anyone else. Not even their drive-thru was open. I waited for about fifteen minutes and my specialty coffee was no where to be seen. I walked back up to the cashier and asked where was my order. She was shocked that it wasn't given to me and resent the order to the back. I waited for a few more minutes and they gave me the wrong coffee! Apparently the cashier put in my order wrong and I was charged for a plain iced coffee, not the speciality! I was extremely irritated and there was no manager in sight. Luckily there was this sweet woman who was very understanding and gave me the coffee I originally ordered. I walked out of that restaurant at 5:30. To sum it up. Staff was kind, but the cashier had no idea what she was doing and I waited thirty minutes for one coffee. I'll be sticking to Starbucks from now on. read more

I bought three overpriced soups to go plus one coffee. Coffee was cold. Replacement offered but required a few addtl minutes which I didn't have because my to-go soup order was already poured and I needed to get it home before it got cold. So, I requested a refund. Manager had smirk, no apology. There's a Panera Bread on nearly every block in the Chicago metro area. The prices at this new store are slightly higher than the other Panera locations. I won't be back to this location. Considering the economy of the neighborhood its in plus the heavy saturation of Panera locations in my area -- I won't be back to this one. read more

Don't use curbside pickup and throughly check your order to make sure it is correct. I ordered cream cheese with my bagel - didn't get it. I ordered cream in my coffee - didn't get it. I ordered ten extra creams on the side - didn't get it. Here's a hint Panera: the person bringing the order to the car should read the order and check it to make sure it's accurate. read more

This was our first visit to this Panera location. We went inside to order a couple of breakfast sandwiches around 8 am today (which is a Sunday). There was no one there so our experience went well from reading previous reviews. Employees were friendly. It was super clean everywhere & the order came out quick. The sandwiches were good. We ordered sausage, egg & cheese on brioche & one on ciabatta bread along with a yogurt w/ mixed berries. Although a little small for the price, Panera sets the prices & the sizes of everything, it's not the employees' fault so let's not treat them badly for it. Also, when I go to Panera, I understand that I'm going to pay more for better, fresher ingredients & everyone has been raising prices or downsizing their portions to fit prices lately anyway. We requested pickles and were told no, I asked why and they said because they can't just give them away... I said I wasn't asking for them for free and that I was happy to pay a fee. I had requested six slices of pickle, that's two per meal. After going through all that jazz with them, they would only give us three slices. Horrible customer service. Horrible customer service manager is extremely rude. I tried going there 3 different times all 3 times my order was completely wrong and they overcharged me. Every time I go they have stale rock hard bread for the sandwiches. Everything else is good but how is Panera BREAD gona have the worst bread? OMG, the price of 1/2 sandwich, coffee & smoothie, just under $18. Are you kidding! The worst service ever. I went through drive thru, asked a question and she left after I didn't want a receipt. Where is my credit card? Dah, she finally came back and she said I thought I gave it to you. 3 times I have gone in the past year, why! I am never returning for the rip off prices. The smoothie was an extra small, the sandwich was 1/2 and was just ok. I could go to a sit down restaurant and get a full meal for the price. Food is fantastic when they get it right!! They need to stop and read the orders. They take long enough to make the sandwiches so you would think your order is correct. I have made numerous complaints to no avail. One time, I spoke to the manager & was informed the staff is new. As nothing has been done, the next step is to replace the manager with one who can take control of the staff. read more

I will not be coming back, I got free subscription for coffee and I only like vanilla in my coffee and the only one they have is not part of it even tho it's still an ice coffee. Drive thru is stupid, almost popped my tires because you can't see the curb. Ill stick to going to my usual place, I get my coffee how I want and still get free coffee the way I like it. read more

Seeing as how it was probably the first time I'd ever been to Panera Bread, I was pretty impressed and anyone who loves soup is sure to be as well. I ordered the bread bowl which if you don't know what that is, they pretty much cut a hold in a loaf of bread and give you a cup of soup of your choosing to pour inside and enjoy. I chose the broccoli cheddar which I also never had before. Needless to say, the soup was amazing. I had picked it up to bring home and the fact that it was still hot surprised me. The bread was delicious even though it was kind of cold and tough. They also give you slices of bread on the side in case you need extra. It was inexpensive, at about $8. I will be going back to have it again and try their other soups. read more
