We are ardent Culver's fans, Our local Culver's is in Carol Stream Illinois, I can compare the Joliet location to the Culver's in Carol Stream, Wheaton and Naperville, This location rates middle of the road, Compared to the other locations, the Joliet location could use more workers. Let me start by stating that the employee that waited on us was very friendly and helpful. Being on a low carb diet, we ordered Double hamburger with no bun, and a triple bacon cheesburger, no bun, plain. The double burger was fine. The triple bacon cheesburger came with NO bacon. It costs $12.89. The same employee brought us our food and we told him we were missing bacon. He came back with 2 pieces of bacon. For $12.89, I would think their would be more than 2 pieces of bacon. I would not recommend the Triple Bacon Cheeseburger. It is definately not worth the cost. read more

I have been to many, many Culver's locations. I am comparing this restaurants to the others. We were a party of 3 here for a Monday lunch at 11:30am. At that time, the restaurant was empty. Too early for the lunch crowd. We till had to wait a few minutes to be greeted at the cash register to order and pay. We ordered 2 Kid's meals and a chicken finger meal. The Kid's meal is the best value around. You get a regular size cheese burger, small size fries or other small side, small beverage and a voucher for a small custard with your choice of topping. One of my favorite things about Culvers is that the food always arrives piping hot. It makes such a difference in the taste of the food. Our meals were not delivered piping hot, despite having them prepared when the restaurant was not busy. The food tasted good, just not great. The staff was very friendly, the restaurant and restrooms were clean. read more

First and last time here. Burger was boarder line raw when bit into. Asked for a new one and it was brought to the table loaded with the wrong toppings. We were the only ones in the place so it's not like they were busy. When we walked in the door I could literally feel and hear my feet sticking to the floor. Have been here multiple times- good food, good service! Only gave it 4 stars because we did have an incident where we got the wrong order in the drive-thru. I'm not sure how that happened since the order number is posted right on the window. Drove all the way home before we opened the bag and realized it. Like almost all Culver locations, they almost never seem to dissapoint at all. Came here for a chicken sandwich and some homemade soup to go. It's a great looking establishment inside and out. They had a nice dine in area outside too. Drive thru seems to be busy. Prices aren't bad either. Food was outstanding and didn't dissapoint. Service provided by staff was great as well. When dine in returns, theres plenty of parking spots available. Great location! read more

Very rude service , young kids they hired don't care or respect there customers or anyone now a day. Waited for 15 mins in drive thru for only a order of cheese curds went inside for them to hand someone else my order and had to drop another cheese curds, the kids were rude about it. Absolute worst Culver's out there. On 12-5-2021 I ordered 2 piece fish dinner with lemon for my fish. Then I ordered onion rings, which I found totally burned when I got home. I also ordered green beans but they had none at 4:00 PM. I also discovered after I got home the lemon I ordered for my fish was not in the bag. Horrible service. read more

The hamburgers are so thin that it takes a double to even taste the meat. That's if you don't put anything on it. Now they are so greedy they charge .25 for a thin slice of tomato. I go here for lunch sometimes. It's very clean in the restaurant, bathroom, and condiment section. Food was cooked just right for what I ordered. I really liked the decor on the walls. Everything was local Joliet pictures taken my someone. It was a really nice personal touch. I will keep coming here. read more

Food is always consistently hot and delicious. I came thru the drive-thru today during this quarantine and they were very polite and helpful. I ordered a butter burger double with cheese sauce and a custard with strawberries and cashews. Always a good combo for me..I would have taken a picture of the perfectly made burger and desert but I devoured it as soon as I got home. read more

The employees are friendly and polite and the atmosphere is very relaxing. I had a Butterburger and a side salad and it was delicious. I was there between Thanksgiving and Christmas so the traditional Christmas music playing made it even nicer. Good job Culvers!!! read more

Will not visit this Culver's location again due to lack of payment convenience. What business, franchise at that, doesn't accept American Express in 2017?! I was surprised to hear the nice girl in the drive-thru tell me they don't accept my method of payment. I thought about just canceling my order at that point but figured that would be too rude so I used another card I had. Regardless, what business doesn't want to get paid? Why lose a customer over a slightly higher exchange rate. We're talking burgers here not electronics or cars where 1-2% can make a slightly higher impact. The Culver's on 59 in Shorewood takes AMEX without issues and I'll be happy to continue to give them my business for doing so. I figured I would try this new location out just for the heck of it but sadly I won't be returning due to the owners bad business decision. read more

Now don't get me wrong I love Culver's Food. Me and my girlfriend actually went to this location a few times. So I went today by myself & placed an order in the drive-thru & I was getting us some food using my girlfriend's card. Now the woman asked me for an ID in the drive up after I present the card, now I have been to other locations recently so I don't know if that's just their own policy or what. But apart of me feels like it was a race issue because I'm AA. But I definitely won't be going back to this location ever again. read more

Update: After getting food poisoning, calling the manager to be called a liar, sending 2 e-mails through the Culver's website, I finally wrote a letter as not a single person contacted me. I sent the letter to the CEO, which I know he wouldn't get, but would get someone's attention. Within 2 days of sending the letter, a woman from the corporate office called me and apologized for my experience and stated that they do care about their customers. (The only and very thing I've been waiting over 2 months for someone to say.) She said that the e-mail sent through the Culver's website is sent directly to the store that you have to pick. Great, so 2 e-mails and 1 phone call and still no one at this Culver's location ever acknowledged that I was injured by their negligence. The corporate employee I spoke to said that the owner, Baron Waller, would be contacting me immediately....It's been over a week and "immediately" doesn't mean much to Mr. Waller. I lost 2 days of work because of them and the owner still has yet to even apologize. This is how much this Culver's, as well as the two Baron Waller owns in Lockport and New Lenox, thinks about their customers. I still like Culver's but won't be giving my money to any place Baron Waller owns. read more

I have never been to a better Culvers in my entire lifetime. The team is just sooo friendly. It was so nice to see all of the employees being so nice. The lady who brought me food, Erica, was super friendly. She asked me if I needed anything and brought me napkins. She even took my tray when I was finished. After realizing I had cash inside my wallet and apologizing profusely, I paid for my meal with cash, had my credit card payment cancelled, and was told the charge did not go through by the cashier and not to even worry. Hours later the charge still showed up on my credit card. Calls to this location were not returned and when they were an employee told me to call corporate, and denied such a thing would ever happen at this location. THIS LOCATION SAID THERE WAS NO PURCHASE FROM ME THAT DAY THAT THEY HAD RECORD OF WHEN I HAD THE RECEIPT AS PROOF! Corporate Culver's was minimal help. Also, this location is always forgetting items in orders, and the burgers are so filled with grease it could be wrung out of the wrapper..gross. Spend your money elsewhere. read more

I don't normally review local chain fast food restaurants like this, but I happen to see the other reviews when searching for local desserts & felt they were unfair. How is the policy not to take AMEX on the employees that work there so you give them zero stars? It's ridiculous. I've been to this location a few times. We aren't big on fast food, but every once in awhile, we will go somewhere quick for something small. I have had a great experience here every time. My son and I dined in there a couple of weeks ago for a quick lunch. The food was delicious. Everyone was very courteous & went out of their way to ask us if we needed anything & even grabbed our tray after we were done eating. Everyone smiled & was friendly. It's like that every time. We will stop by for some concrete mixers every now & then too & they are so good every time. If you're from the area, having Culver's there has been a great addition. Hopefully, they continue to do well & maybe others will see that & come out too!!! read more
