Siempre esta una señora de pelo rojo en chongo q nomas se la pasa platicando, la fila esta sufficientemente grande para q no se ponga a trabajar. Esa fila es otra cosa pero si en verdad le echaran ganas las empleadas este lugar estuviera There is always this lady with red hair in a bun serving, she dont be working and dont let the rest work. Line is always long as it is. If they could get their staff in place to be working efficiently then this place would be A1. read more

Huge selection of ice cream and bars. The inside is very bright and everything is displayed easily to see. The fresh fruit with tajin is really good. Parking is the only downfall which is not their fault. It's near impossible to make a left back onto Larkin pretty much any time of the day. Plus the lot is small with the other businesses that share the lot. Just go early! read more

Ordered a mangonada and when I picked it up I don't think they put it in the freezer but it was melted and then a quarter of the cup at the bottom was just chamoy and lime no mango ice cream especially for what they charge not that great. read more

They have long lines, long wait times, no menu on display, and took over an hour to get some ice cream. Also couldn't understand the worker because they were smacking on their gum the whole time. Never coming here again. DO BETTER. read more

I have gone here for years and never had a problem. Everything has always been great. Today I got a gazpacho and it tasted spoiled. Not sure if it was the juice added to it or the fruit/vegetables in it but it was obviously spoiled. I tossed it in the garbage and called to ask if i could get a credit or a replacement. I was told I had to bring the item in. I explained that I had thrown it away and hoped they would make an exception this time. Nope. $7.29 in the garbage. Today's lesson: taste everything you buy from there before you leave. read more

Fantastic place. I had a shake which was $5.00 plus tax. I was a little worried to pay so much and possibly be disappointed. It was truly amazing!! Well worth the price. The only small complaint is their many flavor of ice cream don't have labels/names. So you either have to guess/assume what the flavor is, or ask your server what each one is.... Still 5 stars!!! Love this place! read more

La Michoacana Premium - Oreo ice cream shake. $5 dollars and worth it!! Fantastic shake! - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Joliet, Illinois

Worth the long line to get myself some Tequila Ice Cream. There cannot be a more delicious flavor and if there is I am more than willing to taste every single one of them this summer. From the ice cream, to the popsicles, to the fresh waters and fruits, not to mention the snacks (Doritos with Cueritos? YES PLEASE!) this place is absolutely amazing. read more

Literally the best place to go for a treat in Joliet. The shop is big, clean, and friendly staff. My friend and I were so overwhelmed with all the flavors, the woman let us taste test a ton. Yum! The fruit parfaits are probably the best on the planet. This is what I would be getting EVERY time. They're one size only and cost like $6. It's big enough to EASILY replace a meal. Definitely check it out. It's a much better alternative to the jenky old DQ a few doors down. read more

Great ice cream shop! A good variety of different things to order, friendly staff, decent prices. My son got a ice cream sunday and I got the giant fruit cup with pina colada yogurt, both were delicious! I'll definitely be going back. read more

I've tried the Ice cream and it was delicious. They make their very own ice cream there and have many options to choose from so there is something for everyone! My absolute favorite is their freshly made strawberry yogurt with fruits, it's AMAZING! I tried their corn and it was good, and their other food options also look good staff is also very friendly. I love it so much I try to go there at least once a month. It's always busy there for a reason! read more

Shout out to La Michoacana Premium , for their ACT OF KINDNESS they showed to me on Teacher's Day! Mil gracias por su amabilidad, no se si es un empleado, manager, dueno ..pero es una persona muy amable ! Si alguien le conoce por favor digale que puso una sonrisa en mi dia! Ms. Garduno read more

Next to my dad's homemade when I was a kid, this is hands down the best ice cream I have ever had. All homemade and it tastes like it's just cream, sugar, and whatever fruit, nut, chocolate is included...fabulous! The best we have had so far are the pistachio and coconut. Daughter liked Mexican chocolate. I had what the girl called "whipped cream and strawberries" and that's just what it tasted like. Yum! Son loved his strawberry cheesecake. I have to try the Popsicles next time. Clean, new place. Helpful staff. Outstanding gem. Pull in just south of the Dunkin donuts. It's in the strip mall across from Sonic. read more

Wow! I mean this place blew me out of the water. The abundance of choices can be overwhelming. So many different flavors of ice cream like a ferrero rocher or tequila, Mexican hot chocolate, gansito, cheesecake etc. It's definitely a one of a kind place that is a must for the summer, there is something here for EVERYONE! Vegans too! You could also get nacho-style flaming hot Cheetos or Doritos and check out the fresh flavored waters they have. My favorite is the Alfalfa water... It's Devine. read more

This place is great! We were quickly welcomed by a really friendly employee and he answered all the questions I had about all the different flavors. They have a great variety of desserts and snacks but I only got the ice cream in a bowl cone and it was super yummy!!! Can't wait to go back again! read more

I really love the variety of the mexican ice cream parlors. They hands down beat any traditional ice cream parlor. I had the cheese ice cream and the maria's cookie ice cream. If ice cream is not your thing go for a mangoneada or an army of various popsicles (paletas). Next time your sweet tooth acts up, come here, you shant regret it. read more

We just left and I have to say, it was awesome! The fruit was cut fresh right in front of you, they also had a huge variety of ice cream, paletas (Mexican Popsicles) and even fruit water and shakes. I know some people are hesitant to try it, but they are really nice. Just ask questions, they speak English! We all loved everything we ordered. read more

I've been here a few times, and it is absolutely my favorite place for ice cream. Friendly staff, clean location, and a million choices to pick from. My boyfriend prefers the fruitier flavors like lemon and strawberry, while I always choose the abuelita chocolate. Would recommend before any other ice cream place! read more

Wow, what can I say? Walking in, I was a bit skeptical, but the super long line at 9pm on a Thursday night made me want to give it a try. So glad I did because it was the most flavorful, rich ice cream ever. There were so many flavors and very interesting ones, too, like tequila and tamarind. I went safe and had a scoop of the pistachio and a scoop of the nut. Both were full of nuts...would you like ice cream with your nuts? Also, it wasn't too sweet. With that kind of richness, tons of sugar isn't needed. Very balanced. One star deducted because there needs to be more signage on the ice cream yumminess especially for the Popsicles. read more

Excellent place for ice cream or any treat you want. Yes you will wait in line. Yes it will be worth it. Suck it up, be patient, and enjoy the fruit of your labor in the end. read more

I really do love their products but the wait every single time is RIDICULOUS!!! They need to improve their system or even develop a system to get that line moving faster!!! read more

Wow amazing ice cream, made with fresh fruit and real ingredients. The choices can be a little overwhelming but the staff are super friendly and ready to answer any questions and offer tastes of the ice cream, aqua frescas. If you are up for something different try the mango and chili paletas (frozen bars) unique and delicious. My husband had the strawberry cheesecake ice cream and called it delicious. What a great ice cream store. read more

We tried this for our first time tonight and we loved it! I had strawberries with real cream poured over it--YUM! The ice cream was wonderful! There were so many different options. They have the best ice cream, yogurt, dorilocos. great customer service. Very clean place.

They have some good stuff I guess but they need to update their system because you will be standing in line for a while, plus they need to work on their customer service. One lady was rude to me and my friend so we just left the ice cream there without paying. read more

Have you ever heard, "Latinos don't do basic snacks."? This is the prime example. The variety of food options is amazing. The first time I walked in here it was like a kid walking into a toy store. My eyes lit up, a white glow accompanied a heavenly singing as I opened the doors. I was on top of the world. I ran back and forth scanning the options. Shiny and squeaky clean floors and mats under my feet. Ferrero Rocher, Tequila, Pecan, Duran, Gansito, Coffee, Yes! There must have been 10s of 20s of ice cream flavors. Was I dead? Bam! On the other side corn! Bam! Over there was dorilocos and fresh fruit smoothies! Whabam! Aguas Frescas! I must of spent at least 30 minuets standing there crying. It was indeed a sight to behold. What does Duran even taste like? Free samples. I tried one, yeah and two and three. But stop I must. Lets not get greedy. My taste buds were in awe. The ice cream was ... it was... too good for words. There is only one crucial part of the plan that i need to figure out here... how Am I going to try everything on the menu before my stomach gives!? read more

I am actually very disappointed in the quality of food at this place lately. I have been coming here for a year and the last two times we have come they have new people who are obviously inexperienced and don't know how to prepare your food items. My hubby and I always order a Mangoneada with cucumber prepared and last Saturday we ordered them and the Mango sorbet tastes like anything but mango, the cucumber sorbet is nothing but sugar. So not only is the turn around crazy with inexperienced staff but now their ice cream quality is lacking and awful. You use to b able to taste the fruit in their ice cream and especially sorbet but now it's food coloring and sugar plus they don't ever put enough lime and spices on it. Very disappointing and very sad for this particular food chain. Their other locations are still using quality products and haven't compromised the taste! Not coming here again I'd rather go to the newly opened Los Mangos on Larkin!!!! read more

I'll start by saying my mother in law lives in Cicero where I first discovered La Michoacana and was the only one open at the time. I always looked forward to driving all the way over their to visit and get a Yogurt with fresh fruit. I am 7 months pregnant and have been craving their yogurt all the time and never realized until a month or two ago they had a location right here in Joliet, literally 7 min away from me. My prayers have been answered that we don't have to drive so far for a delicious snack. The environment is very friendly and clean as well as great fresh products. I definitely recommend this place to all. read more
