This WAS my favorite Panera Bread. Manager Wanda was WANDERFUL!! Always friendly, professional, and efficient. Whoever is the current manager has much work to do. I approach the speaker at drive-through, and young lady taking order is inaudible. I tell her I can't hear her. Twice! Each time she speaks barely audibly. And she asks me to keep repeating my order. I have had this experience EVERY time in the past few visits to this location. Lady at the window in front of me is having a heck of a time getting a correct order. The cashier sounds like she does not comprehend what sliced bread for a sandwich is. I'm waiting for a Sip Club beverage. Still waiting. I often go inside, but that's sometimes a long wait--yes, even for only a Sip Club beverage. And when I inquired at counter, I receive a dumbfounded expression. This is after I see "It's ready" on order status screen. Two stars are for the quality of food and beverages in general at Panera Bread. It was late evening and wanted to eat dinner at hotel so I ordered sandwich and soup plus a pastry to go at the store and don't use drive up service which was available. The food isn't half bad, when it's right. The lady servicing both breakfast and lunch today was unbelievably rude despite my kind words and smiles. Food not as interesting as it used to be when it started. For example they had a delicious unusual sandwich that had a bit of cranberry sauce added along with the other ingredients. I don't know but my experiences at Panera has really gone down over the decade. This one is close enough to my place of stay for work. I got the 2 pick 2 which was ok. Overall the amount of Tuna they put in the tuna sandwiches is dismal. Not sure what's happening. Added insult was the cafe latte I ordered with mocha sauce/drizzle. I asked for a little bit more... Worst mistake ever. This crazy people dumped a whole sauce into my cup. I get to my destination and it's basically this thick syrupy chocolate drink. every time I go through the drive thru for a decafe coffee never have any made. every time I wait in line with cars ahead of me with large orders for 10 to 15 minutes without sending car to proper area for pick up. The parking lot has potholes large enough to cause severe damage and has been like this for weeks. last weekend was told to pull ahead to front of store for coffee pickup in 5 minutes, 15 minutes latter went inside for coffee and nobody had any idea why my coffee was not brought out to car unbelievabl. this incident was at the Bloomsburg store the others are from the most poorly run and maintained store in Hazleton. read more

It's sad that a restaurant like Panera in many other places such as Allentown in the Lehigh Valley serve delicious food and you come to Hazleton and you're served a sandwich that I enclosed a picture of. The chicken sandwich I ordered my mother to say it was bad...it was horribly tough And flavorless. I ordered the steak sandwich and you can see from the picture below it was very disappointing it had some meat piled up in one corner the rest was bread hardly identifiable cheese and no pickled onions at all. This is not a one and done, this is a constant situation. A good stop for a quick lunch on the way to Baltimore. Parents like Panera Bread and I didn't mind it here at all. It was a little different than the ones I've been used to because the food was brought to you and things were bused away. I typically remember grabbing a pager and grabbing the food when it vibrates at Panera's so I'm not sure if this is a nationwide thing they are doing now or whether it was just in this area. I don't go here often because I know its way overpriced for the quality they give, except for the breads are the best. Just... everything else is frozen crap. First visit was okay a year or so go. I went the other day recently because I had $6 in gift card credit. I tried a whole sandwich, one half of it was fine and "cooked" or thoroughly reheated food, but the other half was cold in the middle. Another reason why I think this place is overpriced is they literally have 16-18 year olds in the back... that's it. I just hope they're getting a fair wage honestly, but in today's age when you see a restaurant with minors its cause of cheap labor. I had to review Traveled to see my mother in the good ol Hazleton area district for Christmas, oh what memories this place brings back to Frannie. My moom, Mildred... She is such a sweatheart. Easy location to get to from the freeway. Bathrooms are clean and you can exit without touching any handles. An assortment of booths, tables, and table booth hybrids. They had fresh bread at 6pm on a Wednesday which was impressive. Staff seemed professional, if not overtly friendly. Overall, it's stacks up well compared to other Panera's. read more

For the past three times my son have been here every time we go to the drive-through or order is messed up they say that they're sending me coupons and they never do and it's really annoying to give someone your address your phone number all the stuff I never get the coupons in the mail we are not going back and I highly recommend if anyone places an order through the drive-through to stop look and make sure you have all the stuff that you ordered because it's ongoing issue there! read more

Stopped here en route to Virginia. We ordered online prior to arrival and there were no issues with pickup. Food was fresh and my noodle bowl was packed with veggies which is a nice surprise that they don't skimp on the quality ingredients. Panera is such a wonderful place. First of all the freshest, most phenomenal bread of all time. They offer great seasonal salads. My favorite salad is the Strawberry poppyseed salad with extra fruit. They provide wonderful fresh bakery snacks that you enjoy such as, cookies and other pastries. They also have wonderful coffee and drinks that you can chill out to. read more

Today, we brought our family here for lunch. My son was upset because he did not get a milk...he didn't ask for it. One of the employees came over and asked why he was upset. I commented that he did not get something he wanted. The employee brought a chocolate chip cookie to him. Although we were focused on logical consequences, the compassion by this employee towards our son's feelings was so thoughtful...it was worth noting. Every single time I come, I order the same sandwich, Chicken Avocado Melt. Every single time it comes with the cheese unmelted and the avocado cold. The outer part is warm and then I get to the middle and bite in to ice cold middle. It is disgusting. At this point I am too far in to it to send back.
