Waited 5 minutes before going to find someone to take my order. There was a man waiting for 10 minutes he said before walking out. No creamer, no syrup, ZERO napkins. Does anyone stock the front end? This Panera used to be just fine but has rapidly gone downhill this year. I've attempted to get a particular sandwich three times now, and it has either been incorrectly made OR they ran out of the proper ingredients and didn't tell me until after I picked it up and drove off. If you go in the afternoon, tables are always filthy and there is no one ever cleaning up. Food is usually room temp. Serving sizes are TINY and WAY overpriced (but that probably more has to do with Panera overall). I am so disappointed in this place, especially because of how much I used to love it. read more

We went on 4/13. Waited in the drive thru for about 25 minutes before being told the drive thru system was down. Okay cool happens. Go inside to order instead. No one to take an order at the counter so we went to the kiosk. One of them didn't work so we went to the other. Finally ordered, one full sandwich and one full salad. Waited another 15 minutes, not a big deal. We had been there so long and we were ready to leave when we got our food, so we didn't check the bag. Got home and had half a sandwich and half a salad. Salad was missing half of the ingredients it was supposed to come with. Only upside, I ordered no chicken on the salad and there was no chicken. Probably my third time at this Panera. We drive thru Farmington otw to other things. Finally tried the Toasted Italiano, and it was fantastic. What impressed me enough to finally comment is the staff, including the guy that had to be the owner. To a person, they were all friendly and efficient (I interacted with 4 of them). In my opinion, this Panera in Farmington, MO, is the worst-run store of all the others I go to in the St. Louis area... This is the only one in my area, so I need to keep going, and it doesn't get better... They have you wait in the drive-thru line way too long before they take your order, no matter what time of day you go, then you need to wait at the window before you get your order, and you can see and hear people in a group talking, kidding, and laughing instead of being given your order. Plus, 70% of the people they have working in the drive-thru are lazy, look like they don't want to be there, RUDE, and act like they are doing you a favor. They either need to hire more people and train them better, or fire some and train the ones left better... Plus, this store is not consistent, with one visit things can be good, and the next time things are put together sloppy, and the people can care less about the customers... This is NOT just a one-off thing; it's at least 75% of the time... I'm sure this will not change at this store since it seems the management doesn't care.... read more

This Farmington Panera is the wicked step sister of the chain. My Fuji Apple Chicken Salad was a disaster. I took my plate back to the pick up counter because they forget to add chicken. I heard a voice say, "What's she bitching about?". I asked if I could have a little more lettuce and the reply was "We've changed our portion metric". Worse Panera I have ever been too. Firstly, I was the only one in line and I was greeted with an attitude. I then had to wait 20 minutes for a singular bagel, which I asked to be non toasted. I haven't been to a Panera in many years. I was looking for something slightly more healthy than your average fast food joint this afternoon for lunch so decided to give it a try. Man was this ever disappointing! The bread was so hard I needed two cycle oil on the side to start my chainsaw to cut it into bite size pieces without losing a tooth or getting lockjaw! The sticker shock was an even greater wow factor. I ordered a sandwich and a soup under the "pick two" label on the menu which I was told would make it less expensive by the nice lady behind the counter. With a description like pick two I thought I was looking the 9.99 price for the sandwich and the soup then the extra $3 for the drink. NOPE! You could call it a pick 1, pick 2, pick 12; it doesn't really matter it seems because everything is still individually priced. So after all was said and done $10 sandwich, $5 soup and $3 drink plus Uncle Sam, I just blew $20 on a meal that was mediocre at very best. I could have eaten anywhere else in town for less than this and had something much better than this! I'm experiencing a severe case of buyers remorse! This Panera's food quality was better than average. However, let's start from the beginning. Upon walking into this establishment, I noticed that there weren't any kiosks to order from. Instead, the traditional "man at counter" was the only method of ordering. Once I had fully consumed my tasty sandwich I noticed that the dish deposit says "china and silverware". Quickly seated, but once sat was surprised to receive a large pile of rotting marinara on the tablecloth. My pasta with red sauce had less red sauce on it than the table did. The building was overall disgusting and I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. read more

We eat here a lot. And the food is usually very good which is why there are 2 stars. However today I got one of the new breakfast wraps. The maple bacon egg wrap. I was extremely disappointed in the quality and quantity of the contents. Most of this was wrap! Very little egg or bacon contained within the wrap. Tore off half of the wrap to get to the egg and bacon. And on top of that the wrap was very tough and hard to eat. They had people in the restaurant waiting 40 minutes for food, I waited 20 minutes in line for an ice coffee and eventually had to come in and get it. I went to Panera in Farmington, MO last night. Ordered a Cesear Salad. They did not have Romain Lettuce but said they could make a Ceaser Salad with mixed greens. I said then it would not be a Cesear Salad. So I ordered French Onion Soup in a bread bowl. They were out of bread bowls. So I ordered it in a bowl. I could not find a place to sit - not because they were busy - but because the tables were not cleaned. There was trash all over the carpet. I decided to use the restroom before I left. I just have to take the time to update my review on Panera Bread in Farmington. It is still hit or miss, and for the most part it is a miss. There is a manager, one that used to work at Applebees in Farmington, and the food has gone downhill since I noticed her there. The sandwiches are thrown together, missing items, and no one seems to care. I have ordered rapid pick up now twice in the past couple of months and the food has been wrong. Today, I ordered a you pick two meal and a bowl meal, at a whopping $22.00 for two people for lunch. The Mediterranean quinoa chicken salad came without any dressing (not on the side, on the salad, nothing) and the turkey cranberry flatbread was soggy on one side, had barely any cranberries or spread and was just horrible. Of course, I picked up the order and it was not until I got back to work that I found that it was incorrect. I only get a 1/2 hour lunch, so it takes half of it up to drive to Panera and get back to work. I expect that the employees will take the time to check the order for accuracy, but each time that little section of the receipt is left blank. I guess that no one is checking the orders. The time before today that I ordered rapid pick up, one of the things I ordered was a Mediterranean flatbread sandwich, it came without any of the slaw. When I called Panera after I got back from picking it up, the manager told me that they were out of the slaw and she guessed someone should have let me know. How can you make an order and give it to someone knowing that it is incorrect. She gave me two $5.00 certificates to use, that did not change the fact that the order was wrong and that the sandwich tasted like crap. In the morning it is a miracle if they have bagels and if you want a souffle then you better make it yourself at home. Most of the time they do not have any souffle's because they have not made enough. I have asked about them and was told, I guess we should make some more, it will be 20 minutes wait. I went in there for lunch last Saturday and I was told that they were out of white cheddar cheese, which is on the newest chicken sandwich for fall as well as other sandwiches on the menu. How can they make sandwiches without the proper ingredients?? The girl at the register wanted to know if I wanted American cheese on my sandwich. Well if I am ordering a white cheddar steak panini then I want white cheddar, not American cheese. When a business such as Panera, who is expensive to eat at, cannot get it right (and it happens over and over and over again) you have to wonder what is wrong. The food is good but overpriced and I'm angry that when i go through the drivethru my salad is always half the size it is for dine in but same price. Also if you dont tip you find little niceties like they leave out your baguette. The best way to ruin your business is to allow tipping. You instantly have a hustle for your employees to shake down your customers who finally get tired of it and dont come back like where I am at at this point. I love this Panera. The people who work here are very eager to serve and I've never had a meal there that I didn't enjoy. I've been eating here once a week since they opened. This place has absolutely the BEST salads! Geek, Figi Apple, Caesar, and in the summertime there is a Strawberry salad to die for. There are more, those are just my faves. My only complaint is that they often run out of soufflés in the morning (because they are so sinking yummy)! Not a fan of the coffee either but the Chai Tea more than makes up for it. If you like soup you'll be tickled with the cheddar broccoli or chicken noodle. If you're a fan of tasty macaroni be sure to try that. I had written a previous review about how horrible the service had gotten. I realized that the problem was not the establishment as a whole, but was strictly with the drive thru. Special instructions were not being typed on the ticket so my order almost always came out wrong. I stopped using the drive thru and service has gone back up to 5 star quality. Have been to Panera enough times to know they are skimpy on portions but high on price. Yes, the quality is very good, but as others have mentioned, inconsistent when getting an order. I wrote headquarters about the matter and the rep was very unhelpful and non-chalant (could care less)! EXAMPLE: This was interesting. .. I ordered a "Pick 2". Two Flatbread sandwich's. 1- Turkey Cranberry and 1 - Mediterranean. The turkey is considered a premium sandwich. .. so it is more $. But the Mediterranean is a cheaper sandwich. However... when you order one of each, it is more expensive than 2 Turkey Cranberry at a premium price. WHAT? How can a cheaper and a premium be more $ than 2 premium. I call it "Being Sly"! The company passed it off as nothing! So, even though I like Panera's quality and flavors, I hate their inconsistencies and small portions. So... I choose to go else where.... Two weeks ago I posted a review on Trip Advisor about a bad experience my family had at the Panera here in Farmington MO. It's sad because this is the absolute worst Panera I've ever been to. They are constantly out of popular breads. I've tried to get a sprouted grain roll several times at 1:00pm, and they are out of them. I could understand if it was at 8:30pm, but 1:00pm, no. Tonight I picked up Panera again and they were out of almost all of there most popular breads. My wife and daughter got sandwiches on cheaper and smaller bread. We paid full price though. I ordered my sandwich without onions, but when I got it, it had onions. I called the manager and voiced my displeasure. The manager told me they are aware of this problem and its frequency of occurrence, and assured me that they are going to change it. I hope that's true because we love Panera. I just wish it was up to the Panera standard that we've experienced everywhere else. If any management from Panera sees this, please help them get it right. I want to see Panera succeed! read more

If you are hungry and don't want to be over charged for a sandwich meal, don't waist your time here. Came here on my lunch break, so didn't have a lot of time. Ordered a sandwich, with chips and a drink, it was almost 13 dollars! So I opted for the half sandwich instead to cut some cost. For a half sandwich, chips and a drink. It was 10 dollars. I get my sandwich and it was tiny. Not even close to 4 ozs. Maybe 2 ozs of meat maybe. I said to the manager. "Is this really what I get for 10 dollars?" He said let me see the receipt. "Yes." He said, "you got a drink so that's an extra 2.50. A drink isn't worth 2.50 and a tiny sandwich that I literally ate in 3 bites, is not worth 6.99. I had to go somewhere else to get full and was late getting back to work. Step up your game people. I went to culinary arts school. I know how to cost a menu. Your mark up is extremely high. There is no way that what I got cost anywhere close to 10 dollars to make, maybe 3.50. I literally worked an hour of my precious time for a tiny sandwich that didn't even add up to a sandwich. It was more like a tapa or an hors d'oeuvre. You would do better as a business, if you did some food costing research and some better portioning control. Because the portions I got were disappointing. Laughable really. If you need me to come show you how to make a sandwich I will. Stop being greedy and do some research in cutting some food cost so you can pass the savings on to your costumer. I'll make my own sandwich from now on, thanks. Panera Bread Company you Suck. The bread isn't even that great to be honest. I can buy better bread at Fazzio's and make a sandwich for 10 dollars that could feed 4 people.
