My one year old and I were unfortunately up at 6:30am this Sunday morning following a wedding. I was looking for a coffee shop in Farmington with food and am happy I found this Coljac. For one my mocha latte was delicious. They also had a good selection of sandwiches, ranging from a classic breakfast sandwich to more lunch-y sandwiches- maybe 8-10 different varieties, including vegetarian options. I liked the variations in the menu. The prices are good, but to set expectations the sandwiches are small. Think Mcdonalds sized sandwiches. Quality and taste far exceeds McDonald's. I was also able to snag a cinnamon brown sugar oatmeal for $1.75 for my son and he at the whole thing. Lastly, the girls working were extremely sweet. I was a little groggy and had my hands full. They were super helpful. They seemed like high school aged girls and it is nice to see some high schoolers with great customer service. read more

I got an iced matcha with caramel and paid $7 for a warm cup of watered down tea water lol. it didn't taste like ANYTHING. when it was handed to me the drink was literally WArm with 2 little cubes left. not sure what's so hard about making an iced drink, but I politely asked if they could add more ice and syrup (when I should have asked the drink to be remade) and it didn't help one bit. I would've been better off having a steeped matcha packet at home. at least that would have some flavor to it. the baristas weren't very nice and I wouldn't come back again but everyone has off days, it's just important the people you're paying to make your drink for you actually know how to make them. read more

Here in Farmington, to catch the total eclipse and needed some good coffee. This is such a typical cute small town cafe. Husband had the highlander brew, which he enjoyed, and I had the house brew, which was tasty too. This is a big difference in coffee compared to what you can have at a pitstop diner. The service was friendly and very welcoming. Since we were here for luch, I had the Compton sandwich, and my husband had the Bar-B-Q chicken sandwich. We both enjoyed our sandwiches. read more

I had a really bad work lunch here. Stopped in because it looked so cute but the wrap I ordered was borderline inedible. The meat was very very dry, but the worst part were these sundried tomatoes that had the consistency of shoe leather, like I could not chew them. I did get a great cookie and a green tea, and the atmosphere was good, so giving one extra star for that, but would not recommend for a meal. read more

There's was only one girl at the counter (I felt bad for her) and one girl in the back. The line was incredibly long and she had to shuffle back and forth to making drinks and taking orders. It wasn't her fault, but they were not staffed well for a Sunday morning. The lates were lukewarm. Staff is always friendly, coffee drinks are always good, and baked goods are usually very good (and sometimes fantastic!).

So, I ordered the Night Guard breakfast sandwich. I don't know if they make the bread / biscuit in-house, but it was VERY tasty! Also, pesto on a breakfast sandwich? YESSSSS!!! My coffee was real good too. My one beef is that the sandwich isn't the biggest, and they don't offer any sides. Having a side would have moved my impression from Good to Great. Terrible customer service with rude employees. WiFi is constantly broken. Coffee is basically flavored water. The last time I gave them a shot, I finally learned my lesson and tried the WiFi before ordering. It was down yet again, so I asked the woman at the counter if it was working. With a shrug and a smirk that all but said GO AWAY, she said, "Yeah it may be down, whatever. I don't know." If they don't care about running an actual coffee shop, I don't care about returning ever. There are much better shops with a 15 minute drive. October 2023 update: Format has change but the terrible food and service remain.. Subpar service, disappointing food, and their only business hours are ridiculous. Want a pizza on Friday night? Too bad, they're closed Friday night. This place hates its customers and treats us terribly until we hate them back. Never waste your time going here. Hope they go out of business soon and are replaced with something better. read more

We stopped in here for lunch driving back from Pickle Springs. It had pretty good reviews online so we were excited to try it out. We were underwhelmed. The sandwiches and salads we got were just not that good. It was right at the start of COVID-19 adjustments though so I'll give the place the benefit of the doubt and still give them three stars. I love the new place and it's look. One of the things I always look forward to when I'm in Farmington is the highland grog here. It is normally a great coffee. Today it tasted like they reused their grounds it was weak and tepid. I wasn't sure if it was me and maybe I had built my expectations so I asked my daughter to try it and her reply was "ew that is bad" I don't know if it was just a bad coffee day for them. If your gonna make coffee it helps if you drink and enjoy what you serve. Not sure if I will go back tbh the grog was the only thing I go there for. It's hard to find a coffee place here that makes a dry cappuccino. read more

Perfect panini and iced coffee!!!! One of my pet peeves at many coffee shops is getting an iced coffee that is too small and doesn't have the option of a larger size. They nailed it with a great tasting ice coffee in a large size at a reasonable price. Great job guys!!!! read more

Lol Great place to hang out in DT Farmington...nice ambiance, free wifi, Excellent AC and most importantly, great coffee, a small selection of yummy treats to go with your coffee as well as a simple but appropriate bistro menu with salads, sandwiches etc... It's a little tricky to get to as its on the Main Street which is two lanes of one way traffic and the shop is on the left side. I had to loop back around to get to it but it was worth the trouble. Somehow I came to town from Florida to work a 3 day job. While here I stopped at this little coffee shop hoping for a semi decent cup of coffee and a breakfast sandwich. I'll be damned.... the coffee is amazing. I'm also a pretty big foodie so I don't say this lightly. Somehow I got the postman breakfast sandwich and I don't think over ever had a better breakfast sandwich. Also I'd like someone to tell me what kinda bread muffin biscuit whatever is on that. It was great. I wish I had a place like this back in Naples but sadly I am stuck with Starbucks and Dunkin'...... bring this place to Florida! read more

ColJac is such a wonderful little gem in downtown Farmington. It is cozy and inviting. I have also never been disappointed in any drink I've purchased. From tea to frappes to a regular cup of coffee, ColJac does it right. I'd even argue that their frappes are better than the ones I've had anywhere else. One of my favorite things about this place is the milk choices. Not only do you have whole and nonfat milk as options, but you can also have your drink made with soy or almond milk. If you're looking to try their food, I've always had a good experience here. As far as bakery it's go, the Gooey Butter Bar is hard to beat. The German Chocolate muffin is also a highlight. The service is wonderful. The staff are extremely friendly. You can't ask for a better place than this. read more

The prices for the specialty drinks are a little on the high side (yet still average compared to Starbucks and other coffee shops) but the taste is amazing. The standard coffee prices are very cheap ($1.07 after tax for a 12oz brew) and it is some of the highest quality coffee around. Flavor selection is standard such as house blend, highlander grog, decaf, etc., and there is a large variety of espresso-related specialty beverages, lattes, and food options (sandwiches, deserts, and snacks). While I do not see myself ordering fancy beverages every time I go here, I still highly recommend this place and feel that the prices are very justified considering everything this shop has to offer. read more

Was referred to this shop by a friend when I was visiting the city. Overall, a nice coffee shop! The staff were all friendly and personable. They offer a variety of coffee, lattes, frappes, etc., along with sandwiches. The prices are reasonable compared to any other shop you would see (they offer size short [16 oz] and tall [20 oz] ranging from $4-$6). They offer free wifi, have outdoor seating, and maintain a clean shop. It can be a little noisy if you do decide to study since the layout of the coffee shop is shape of an L. It can be a little crammed where the seating is, and they have a few numbers of outlets so be warned to charge your items before! There is parking in front of the shop when driving into town. The food is great, breakfast and lunch sandwich made fresh to order and very reasonably priced. Very friendly staff. We order coffee and there are assorted types and flavors available. I'm not sure where to begin. I recently was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and had the bad news that I was going to go through chemo. I have a lot of medication that makes me not have much of an appetite. But I can say that this place has provided me with food that I can manage to eat. And they are always amazing the staff goes above and beyond to make sure that I get what I order correctly and they are so kind. They do not know what I am going through. They provide this service regardless of knowing anything. They know that I'm a regular I send my husband for my food. They also know that I like regular salted chips or sour cream and always try to make sure that I get those kind. So thank you again to this amazing staff.
