It was very difficult to pick one honestly. I ended up ordering "Hefty heifer sandwich" and my friend got Philly cheesesteak. It took about 15-20 minutes to get the food for the table. It was a pretty good size sandwich, I finished only half of it. Yummmmm! About the ambiance, they do have a lot of tables inside, market area, bar area with TV screens. Since the sandwich I had was huge, I couldn't find a space for desserts especially cheesecakes/cookies. But, I came back after couple of days to try their cheesecake. It knocked me out for sure. One of the most generic menus I've ever seen and would expect a lot more from a place like this. I also thought the cups used to be glass but most of them were the plastic cups you get at a diner. They still had glass cups for more specialty drinks like wine and coffee but soda and water were in plastic. I was also pretty sure they used to have cloth napkins and those are gone too. I feel like this place is too expensive to skimp on little details like that. Staff is still great but they seemed really overwhelmed and we did also show up pretty late so I can't blame them for being gassed This place is beautiful, they had someone playing the piano and it was a really nice atmosphere, but like I said I hope they're just transitioning between menus and dishwater because this visit was super disappointing.

We usually go in Tuesday mornings for their baker's dozen bagel deal, but will no longer be visiting this establishment. Without exaggeration, the last four times we've tried to get bagels, they're out of at least one of our choices. Usually completely out of french toast, but this morning they were out of chocolate chip and cinnamon crunch. Only had two french toast and four asiago. We literally couldn't make a entire baker's dozen we'll eat with what they had left. It's not as if we arrived mid-day. We were there at 8am. We have repeatedly asked the manager to rectify the issue and it still hasn't happened. I understand they have a bottom line and can't produce too much excess, but every time? The answer we get from the manager is, "we bake what we can sell." Makes sense except if you could sell more, you're just not making enough for demand. My question was, "are you tracking how many people come in and don't get what they want?" That seemed too complicated for comprehension. My advice, make more of the popular flavors, especially on Tuesday mornings, and start tracking how many people ask for flavors you're out of so you can get an accurate count of how much to produce next time. I doubt the amount of money you'll lose from having a few extra bagels left equals the amount of money you're losing when people leave due to their frustration. We won't be back on Tuesday mornings and I'm sure there are others, so maybe now you are producing the correct amount. I know there are more important things in life, but I used to enjoy our little trips to Panera with the kids for bagels. It was a tradition since before we moved here a few years ago. Unfortunately, our little family tradition has now become so frustrating we just won't continue it until we move again. read more

So I stopped at this location this morning for breakfast to-go. Was looking forward to a fresh bagel since I always see them when I stop for dinner. I walk in at 8am and there are no bagels left. All the bins are empty... nothing left. I ask the cashier if they have more bagels available and she says no. I do not understand the point of offering breakfast and featuring fresh baked goods as a staple of your menu, but at 8am you have no bagels? I always see plenty of bagels in the evening. Things have started feeling different--the atmosphere is less welcoming than it used to be. On a recent visit, there was some confusion regarding the corned beef hash. I was previously told they were out of corned beef (which implied it was homemade), only to find it was canned on a subsequent visit. When I politely asked about this, and about why the dish was served with an additional side of hash browns--which contained onions and peppers that I am allergic to--the interaction became uncomfortable. The conversation with our waiter took an unexpected turn when he asked if we were "Yankees." When I confirmed we were from the North, he remarked, "It figures," and accused me of having an "attitude" when I merely questioned the menu composition. The experience concluded at the register. When we were charged 79 cents for extra salsa instead of the 50 cents we were quoted, an older woman stepped in. When I politely pointed out the price discrepancy, she was dismissive and snotty, turning her back on us while we were still speaking. When I asked about "the customer is always right," it was clear service--and kindness--no longer seemed to be a priority. It is disheartening because the food has historically been consistent, and we truly miss the days when staff like Ami made us feel welcome. I am not writing this for a refund or a correction; I simply wanted to share my perspective. Everyone has a bad day, but to lose a long-time customer over such a minor interaction is a shame. While I personally won't be returning after being treated that way, I still hope those who enjoy the food continue to support the business. I just hope that, moving forward, the team remembers that kindness matters as much as the meal itself.
