The beef dipping sandwich was lousy beef cold reheated , vs. picture showing slices of roast beef. The container with was French onion soup for the dipping broth. The container didn't allow dipping sandwich... so so much for dipping? Had to spoon sauce onto sandwich... I ate rest as a French onion soup? Used to have cups for water? No longer I think the menu and quality needs improvement. Same customer lingers sitting there occupying tables for free internet and the minting sip plan for beverages . Guy had four cups he was loading up to take home after looked sitting there in warm spot using Internet buying nothing and take advantage of free beverages all day. The baked goods used to look fresh... I viewed on way in and looked sitting all day . Anyway... my gift card is used up . We wanted a quick dinner for four and Panera came to mind. This time we tried their pre-set meal for 4 and got takeout. The meal has set options and you can select what you'd like. We got two sandwiches (tomato mozzarella, spicy fiesta chicken), soup (broccoli cheddar), a full baguette, and a Greek salad. We also ordered the chicken avo sandwich on the side. Everything was great flavor-wise but also price-wise. $40ish for four people is a treat. All the items were packed neatly and the order was ready in time for my schedule pick up. Pretty standard Panera! Quick service, tons of indoor and outdoor seating, lots of parking, and inexpensive food. I got the you pick two which came with mac and cheese and a half sized Toasted Frontega Chicken sandwich. They've got some type of chipotle sauce going on in that chicken sandwich and boy is that scrumptious. Of course I always come here and order their lemonade too (it's now guava lemonade which is new to me) but I will say it's definitely yummy! They had staff working the register but this particular location was definitely one of the more busy Panera's I've seen in a while (which was good to see!) so my friends and I all ordered on the mini iPad self-serve tablets they have. The only downside is that I ordered a cookie and forgot to go by the bakery to pick it up since I ordered via the tablet and not with the person behind the register who would typically just step back and grab it for me. This Panera was fairly comparable to most other Paneras. I had come strictly for a standard drink around dinner time. The crowd was fairly low mainly with people eating while fiddling on their laptops. I had appreciated that the drinks were self service so I could easily walk in and fill up my cup with what I pleased with ease. read more

cashier got our order wrong. we noticed when we got he receipt. we asked her to correct the charge which was $2 higher than it should have been. she had to get the manager to correct it. by the time the manager came out, I had to wait in line a second time for them to fix the mistake. food was getting cold. I told the manager that I was dissatisfied and she smugly replied that she couldn't rush the other customer. I have visited this cafe numerous times on my way to work in the morning. Generally I get a greek salad with chicken each time. Over the course of the last few months the salad has come to me without chicken, or looking like the lettuce is not fresh. I have complained, spoken with the manager, received credit for incorrect orders, etc. Today I ordered a greek salad with chicken. The same manager that I expressed concerns to in the past handed me my salad through the drive through window. I got to my office and opened the bag and looked at the salad. The lettuce is pink, Wilted and obviously not fresh. RETALIATION for asking that I get what I pay for??? Well, that's it fo me. I nor my family or friends will be going to this Panera again. It's a shame that a customer cannot get what they are paying for at this location. If I could give less than one star I would. The "manager" at this location should be fired!!!!! read more

I visited the Panera Bread at the Dedham location this past Sunday with my son and the young lady who took our order was somewhat rude and unfriendly. Later on I noticed I was charged twice for the same order for the same transaction. I called the Panera Bread customer service and spend about half an hour to dispute the duplicate charge and despite providing the order number from the receipt to the customer support agent, I was told he could not find the order and kept asking the same questions. I finally decided to contact my bank credit card customer service department and dispute the duplicate charge. Going forward I would think twice before visiting the Panera Bread at Dedham, Mass due to bad service and questionable charges!! read more

So this is my local Panera bread and I thought it was 3 stars - compared to other Panera's, but the past two days have been horrible at Dedham. I'm going through a phase and have been eating here a lot. Last night, my order was correct, but the sandwich was so sloppy and messy. I didn't complain. I rearranged my sandwich before I ate it and all was well. Tonight, I sent my son to pick up my order and the sandwich was COMPLETELY wrong... a bravo turkey, but has no turkey or bacon!!! I visited during the breakfast time and ordered two sandwiches, I was in the drive thru. It took about ten minutes for me to get through the line with only one car ahead. When I got to the window the person verified my sandwich order (ingredients) then proceeded to leave the window. I was there for 15 minutes. I then got my sandwiches and proceeded to drive off, I always check any order in the parking lot so when I did I noticed one sandwich was missing bacon and the other was burnt (bread over toasted). So I proceeded back through the drive thru as the weather was terrible. When I got to the order area I asked if I could have a refund, the cashier asked what was wrong and I shared the sandwiches were incorrect but I didn't have more time to wait for more sandwiches. Ten minutes later when I get to the window (again waiting on someone in front of me) the person says "what did I do wrong?" I then shared what was wrong and hand him the bag, he literally opened each sandwich and tried to convince me (hands in sandwich with no gloves on) that the sandwiches were great...I said very calmly, "may I have my refund please?" He then took 15 minutes to complete the refund...I will never go back there again and I honestly hope he works there until he retires because then I know he won't be a surgeon or nuclear physicist rendering us safer in the world. read more

This Panera is different from every other one that I have eaten in from across the country......and that is not a good thing. The restaurant has done away with customer service. Their preference is that you order your food at a kiosk and they generally do not man the front counter (this review is taken from 2 separate visits). So, I ordered at the kiosk, pulled my own drink cup and programmed my own pager and went to wait on the food at a table. Other Panera's bring the food to your table......not this one. They call the pager number from the kitchen and you go pick up your food yourself. I don't like that. Additionally there is a significant breakdown in communication between the bakery and the kitchen. Most of you are aware that many Panera's offer you a 99 cent bakery item when you order an entree. I ordered the 99 cent item to come with my entree. When the entree came up and my number was called, there was no bakery item. I then had to go back up to the bakery, show my receipt and tell them I didn't receive what I ordered and paid for. It was then that I was told that the kitchen will not pull bakery items to fill orders and the bakery had no computer to see the order and hence did not know that a bakery item was required. What kind of messed up, non-functional, anti-customer service is this? Food was fine.......everything else was a negative. If there is a regular Panera nearby that actually serves its customers.....go there and don't come to this one. The "new" mode of operating needs to fail so that customers can enjoy service once again. read more

I am a new Sip Club member and I am disappointed that each time I come to Dedham Panera, the decaf is either empty or luke warm. The management does not put a priority on maintaining the coffee urns as a priority. I took a picture o f the current setup with both Dark Roast and Decaffeinated Coffee empty. A guy complained about Dark Roast and I asked about Decaf. at 10:05. The finally replaced them at 10:35. This has been a regular occurrence at other Panera Breads that I visit. I am on the road several days a week and I hoped the the $10/mo would save me a little money. The Sip Club isn't worth it if I can't get coffee. read more

Oct2022: 4: I stopped by this location with my spouse to get something light to eat for our evening meal. There was handicapped parking adjacent to the front door. The parking lot was shared with several other commercial businesses. The lot was large enough for crew cab pickup trucks to maneuver without difficulty. We were greeted when we entered into the restaurant by the cashier. We were originally undecided on our selection, but we wound up getting the soup and sandwich which is always a good choice for us. I saw a great looking dessert in the display window. Since it was not sold in slices, we had to get our second choice from the display window. The bag of cookies!! LoL I am still enjoying these two days later. My spouse really enjoyed her sandwich and soup. I didn't think my sandwich hit the mark, but the soup was very good and it hit the mark by itself. It was the hot chicken and wild rice soup that I selected by the cup. I added a bit of Tabasco sauce to bring in the spicy. The store was clean and functional. There were some sections that were not ready for customer use. The restroom was fairly clean when I used it. The workers were competent and capable at this location. read more

I like this location, parking is a little narrow but inside is clean. Bathroom is always spotless. The people working here are really thorough, there's a nice lady at the counter who makes sure to ask you for all the details of your order (because let's face it Panera ordering is a little complicated). I love all the healthy smoothies they come out with, there's a kale and banana one that I like. Soba broth bowl was surprisingly good, they grill the edamame and carrot chunks so it adds a smokiness to the broth. Soba noodles were cooked perfectly too! Just stopped by after the gym, the only worker (a young guy) working the register was unprofessional and clearly didn't know his job. He. had no knowledge of the menu, the deals nor how to edit orders. The food at Panera is good. I always get the same things: Chicken Caesar Sandwich no onions, Mac n Cheese, or Broccoli Cheddar Soup, or a combo. The chicken on the sandwich has gotten .. weirder. They have changed the seasonings or recipe the past few years. Still, I am not ready to try another expensive sandwich I may not like. Mac and cheese is the best mac and cheese but it's $8 for a full order which is a small bowl!!!! Panera NEEDS to cut the price on this, it's ridiculous. It is amazing but you can get a box with more than double for $1. I think they should lower the half price to $3 and the full price to $4.50 because they'll still be making a huge profit. So, I have noticed shrinkflation at many restaurants and products at the grocery store. Today we did takeout from Panera Bread. Got a Turkey Bravo sandwich. It is made up of turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato and cheese. There was one thin layer of turkey on the sandwich and it tasted like low quality turkey roll. The lettuce, tomato and cheese layers on their own were thicker than the turkey layer. I had to look to see if bacon was on it. Yes, half a piece on one side and half on the other. My suggestion would be to call it the CLT Bravo with hints of turkey and bacon. Another place that is off our list. read more
