Panera makes some decent food and has a nice mixture of soup, salad and sandwiches that are available for lunch. They are very good at providing calorie count so that you can make choices about what to eat. Their turkey chili and their black bean soup are worth having. Pet peeves. Their website which is set up to order online, does not give you prices when you customize the item (such as adding either a slice of cheese or slice of avocado). Also it is very hard to look at a breakfast menu or lunch menu when it is not breakfast or lunch time. They best part about ordering online is that you can order and they will just put the order in the locker for you which you can pick up without having to interact with a salesperson. The bagels are pretty bad there, and they are horrible about toasting them dark enough. Their selection of cream cheese is pretty weak too. This location is especially hard to get into and out of, since it is at a busy intersection, and shares the shopping center with a Giant Food store. Panera is convenient, semi healthy over priced food... Buyer beware. read more

This location is always inconsistent. Ordered for pick up a full size green goddess salad and my husband ordered pick two with the same, green goddess. Somehow our salads didn't have the same ingredients and were also missing ingredients. My husband had a whole boiled egg not sliced while I had no boiled eggs. I stopped at Panera today for a lobster roll sandwich, a seasonal special, which was recommended by my sister and her husband. The experience was remarkably on-target. The cashier was efficient, the sandwich was prepared quickly and the at-home dining experience was impressive. The (approx. 5" long) dense roll was loaded with lobster claw meat, bits of romaine and light coated with dressing. It was delicious and the sandwich was sufficient to provide two meals. The lobster roll isn't cheap -- $17.99 -- but I absolutely believe that it's appropriately priced for the quality and quantity. Visited: Saturday - May 9, 2015 - 1 PM I assumed my place in line but, quickly realized that breakfast items were primarily sold. I re-assumed my place in the "lunch" line. I began reading the overhead lunch menu when an employee invited me to the "breakfast" line. I had indicated to the employee that I didn't have a chance to fully review the lunch menu and asked for assistance. I indicated that I'd like the soup and sandwich combo. She quickly read my options from an electronic read out not visible to customers. She verbalized far too quickly and I requested a slower version. She acquiesced. I ordered a cup lemon chicken orzo soup, a ham sandwich with Swiss cheese, lettuce and tomato, coffee, and an apple. When picking up the lunch, I announced to the manager that I ordered spaghetti and meatballs. The manager recognized the joke and said while smiling, " sorry we're fresh out". I went to this location last night after a babysitting job. I arrived at 8:45 pm, and felt like a total jerk for showing up 15 mins before closing. The manager was at the register (I think his name was Seth), and I asked if it was okay to order. I told them to be honest, because I didn't want them doing a ton of work just for me. He was fantastic and told me it was quite all right. He was also kind enough to make sure I had enough bread for my delicious squash soup. My soup was great, and so was my baguette! There wasn't anything particularly different about this location than others that have visited. I'm kind of surprised that the reviews for this Panera are on the low side. I've always had good experiences here. Sure, it can get a little crowded. Yes, there can be legions of toddlers storming the counter sometimes. Indeed, it's a chain. But, for breakfast at least, they have a great selection of tasty baked goods (I love the cinnamon bagel), and they actually have an excellent flavored coffee in their hazelnut coffee (and I usually don't like flavored coffee). I've never thought that the service was anything less than pleasant. It's a good place to get some work done, too. There are some comfortable couches and free wifi. There are those times when you just need a change of venue to getting some writing done, and Panera offers a convenient place to do so. read more

Just about what you would expect from a typical Panera. I appreciated the layout of the restaurant, as the seating specifically was orientated in such a way that it felt more private and cozy. I enjoyed a chipotle chicken and avocado sandwich which was perfect and a cup of creamy soup which I wasn't thrilled at but it was ok. The meal also came with kettle cooked chips and a pickle spear. One thing I love is their lemonade, great balance of sour and sweet. Looking forward to stopping in again when working in the area. read more

I'm a big fan of Panera Bread. There menu is great because I think the portions for the you pick two deals are perfect. I usually get the salad and soup combo- Greek Salad and Black Pea Soup. That is my fav. thing to get. Their bread served with the meal is always fresh. This place is very inconsistent with their sandwiches. I have had some really great salads and soups but with their sandwiches they are not always the same. The last time I ordered a turkey sandwich the meat was really slimy which i would never expect to see there. Stopped in for a quick bite. Cashier was very helpful in making recommendations . I had creamy chicken and rice with a chipotle chicken and avocado on a flat bread. It was a bit crowed but my order was completed fairly quickly. Presentation look very good and the food tasted deliciously scrumptious. I commented to my wife when I came home how good it was and how much better in comparison to other Panera Breads in New Jersey. Definitely a place I would return with my family. I'm not much of a "fast food" person but their all natural ingredients campaign finally got me to give it a try. First off, the staff is not friendly. Kind of expected in a quick spot, but they were borderline mean, so that was not a great start. Not being familiar with the menu I felt that I was annoying the cashier with my questions so I rushed to order, also not great. The food comes up on the opposite side of the counter and the staff was clearly irritated cause they were arguing with each other, loudly. I got the food to go and couldn't wait to get out of there. Got home (7/8 minute drive) and opened it up. Grilled cheese is "cooked" on one side but not the other, and the cheese was luke warm and not melted or "grilled". The macaroni and cheese (got a large) was literally half way full. I wish I took a picture but we were so hungry we just dug in. The macaroni and cheese was pretty good, but I would definitely like to receive the large order which I paid for. The soup was so so (I'm a chicken noodle gal) I found it be mainly broth with almost no chicken and just a bunch of celery with a few noodles. Kind of disappointing when a can of Progresso is like $1.50 and has more ingredients. Maybe there's a better time of day to go for soup (possibly before the 12-2 lunch hour) and I'm hoping the macaroni and cheese situation was a fluke. What the hell... I've been a Panera supporter for a good portion of my 29 years here on Earth, but I made a massive mistake by suggesting Sunday breakfast here today. I strayed from my usual Asian Sesame chicken salad and went with the seemingly healthy egg white, spinach, and avocado sandwich. My boyfriend was hoping to get a Pick Two, but apparently the pre-made soups they heat up weren't available yet, so he ordered a plain old turkey sandwich. After we got our sodas and found a seat, we decided our impending sandwiches weren't enough, so we went back to the counter to order their new ham and cheese soufflé which they are promoting the hell out of. Unfortunately, they ran out?! They finally called our name as the pick-up line started to back up and when I sat down to eat, I could not have been more disappointed. After two bites, I realized a crucial element of my sandwich was missing... the avocado. I checked like five times to make sure it wasn't a skimpy slice hiding under the egg white or camouflaged amongst the spinach. Nope, nowhere to be found. I brought my sandwich back up to the counter and was rudely greeted when I said my avocado was missing. Best case scenario, they make me a whole new sandwich. Worst case scenario, they pick apart my sandwich for the 6th time to make sure I'm not lying about the lack of avocado and then slap a piece on... and this is what they did. Except, they pretty much just cut a whole avocado in half, stem still attached, and threw it under my top layer of bread. Does Panera want me to die? I was too hungry to make a third trip up to the counter, so I decided to be a good American and just eat the damn thing. It was impossible to get a perfect bite because the big, round avocado slice kept getting squeezed out the backside. I finally called it quits when 1/3 of my "sandwich" was in a pile of undefinable mush on my plate. Long story short, I'm still going to eat at Panera... just not this one. The only thing that made this visit enjoyable was a very lovely employee named Chris who was so sweet to us as we refilled our sodas before leaving. He asked how our meal was, brought up Thanksgiving which is right around the corner, and seemlessly transitioned into telling us about their new holiday bread. Got a soup and sandwich at Panera today, to go. Use this Panera quite a bit and find that their quality is slipping quite a bit. Order turkey sandwich WITH avocado. Only added light mayo. Sat down to eat my dinner and was disappointed and irate. Little turkey, tomatoes (huh?) and NO avocado (my favorite) and NO mayo, I remade my sandwich myself, drive there was a waste of my time and money. This is my favorite panera bread. The salads are great. The staff are really friendly. I go here to study all the time. The hazelnut coffee is great. It does get really loud and busy at lunch and dinner but I bring headphones and play music and just keep working on my work. I really do enjoy this spot. I'm surprised at all the bad reviews, to be honest. Oh well, to each their own. I think this panera is better than others. Has a more personal feel. read more
