I don't write reviews, but this is warranted. We are visiting from out of town. My 3 and 2 year old along with myself got very sick. I didn't know that this particular Panera didn't have a drive thru as I was picking up for myself, my sister, and our kids. I pulled up and thought oh no. They're so sick, I cannot bring them inside. Can't say I'd go back. Out running errands today and wanted a quick and easy breakfast and our favorite bagel place was closed so we thought we'd try Panera since it's been many years since we've eaten there. Now I remember why! Their pastries in the glass case look beautiful and delicious and I assume that's because they're pre-made. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel. I'm not a big fan of bacon on a breakfast sandwich but that is the only meat option which I find weird since they're a sandwich place, I'd assume they have a ham for lunch but maybe I'm wrong. The wife asked for an Asiago bagel with plain cream cheese. Obviously we can't dine in right now so we grabbed our order and headed to the car. Turns out, we had to take everything home to eat because it was definitely not "on the go" food. The cream cheese comes in a tiny container with a knife for you to put it on yourself... glad I left a tip. The Asiago topping... just a little sprinkle so a plain would have been better. The bacon, what bacon? It was a slice of bacon clumped together on one side of the bagel. Not worth the money at all! If you must eat here, stick with the pretty things in the case. read more

Easy kiosk ordering--- I used to skip it and go to the counter but the kiosk is much easier now that we should social distance. Normally visit the South Gate location in Co Springs for take out. They are normally on point and fast with their orders. When they are not, it is out of their control, specially when short staff. I do have one suggestion for cutlery to use prepackaged not loose items. The front is usually clean, and the cashier is a pleasant. This Panera location continues to be a retail joke. Was a very good shop for years but has deteriorated to have very poor customer service. Yesterday again was out of stock on the egg soufflé items. Upon asking why there are never any of these delightful items, was told they only make 6 and sorry, they were here earlier. This has been repeated many times over the last year. Also we now consider Panera to be an expensive place. The size of the salads and choices for the Pick 2 items make them expensive for the amount of food. We tried the breakfast egg sandwhiches on brioche bread. They were sooo good. Bread was very soft yet slight crunch crust. I added veggies to mine. We will be back for those. We also ordered some really sweet decorated cookies. Just had a pretty terrible customer service experience. It's currently 10:35 on Monday, July 22, 2019. My mother and I came in about 10 minutes ago. There were a couple of groups already in line, so we stepped aside to look over the menu and pastries. A couple of minutes go by, and someone flips the sign for breakfast over to lunch. I look over and see the fine print - breakfast ends at 10:30. I looked at the cashier and asked if that meant we couldn't order breakfast. She said yes, and I said something like, really?? A man near us was told something similar and simply walked out without ordering. Customers already in line or standing there, looking at the menu, should at least be warned before we can't order breakfast. The food we did order was tasty and fast. Love Panera, but man. So I origionally rated this location a 1 star poor service with the following explanation. Service and product is HORRIBLE. I am a strict vegetarian, and have been for 11 years. I specifically ordered the strawberry poppy seed salad with NO chicken and patiently waited for it to be ready. The staff preparing the food gossiped loudly the entire time about who was going to get pregnant next and other inappropriate non-customer appropriate topics. I didnt notice until I was home,15 minutes away, that my salad had chicken. Completely unacceptable and disappointing experience. Panera normally prides themselves on customer service, I guess that doesn't apply to this location. However, my boyfriend and I decided to drive the 15 minutes back to get another salad, the manager Jason was BEYOND apologetic and accommodating. He refunded my salad and HAND made me a new one. That man NEEDS to be promoted or given a bonus or something.
