Our experience with NGRW began both from a personal reference (same customer with two previous home…read moreinstallations/replacements) and a professional reference (head sales guy personally vouches for them), so we knew there were some reputations on the line for the referral. Jonathan (owner), Kevin (salesman), Jeff (installation foreman), Clint (QA/project mgr), and Christine (accounting) were responsive, timely, and thorough in their explanation and clarification of all charges, transactions, and day-of processes. We got an estimate for 18 window INFINITY replacements (upgrade from 1970s construction) including two large picture windows, in early April 2020, with installation on May 26, 2020. After a wonderful day-of installation experience, we moved forward with french door MAX CRAFT replacements for the singular front door; installation occurred on July 24, 2020. The front door had some irregularities in the sealed glass panes and required entirely new door replacements after the initial framing was installed. The QA/PM (Clint) personally oversaw the replacement process to find the best door panels with the least glass imperfections, especially knowing that we will (have) look out new front doors regularly! NGRW was wonderful in working with us to secure project funding (Synchrony), include credit card deposits, and augment final settlement with cash funds. Once you buy even one window with them, you are locked into pricing for life! The manufacture of these fiberglass windows avoids the warping with vinyl and rotting with wood; the insulation presents a new level of sound insulation (we live on a busy through street) and better climate control in summer (our upstairs HVAC died at the end of the cooling season) and winter. We are now moving on with window replacements at the back of the house, along with a new backdoor of a more-simple design. We refer Jonathan and his team to anyone/everyone looking for window--or door--replacements, and we are happy to be included in their business family for the life of our home ownership.

Later initiated and signed separate order to purchase additional lockset for back door to ensure same cylinder keying. Received text and email messages on December 9 and December 11 that project is now on hold and that my action is required. On Dec 10 I scheduled installation dates with NG but salesman is no longer in loop and no NG project manager or specific contact person has been identified. Today called NG back again but nobody can explain why project is on hold again. Hopefully project will be completed soon and everything will progress OK. Not a warm feeling that all is well.

I'm a little late on getting my review written and posted. We were looking for a new front entry…read moredoor (never mind about any comments on the old one) and I searched all over for doors. Some places out of state and finally, fortunately, found JD's Glassworks. I called on a saturday right before closing and Jerry's son had no problem taking the call and talking after their official "we're closed" time. He sent information in e-mail and after a few days of talking, looking at photos of doors and even photos we sent of the front of our house, he put in a selection of doors we liked. When the time came to get ready to order, the main Jerry, the dad, came down from Woodstock to our house (100 miles) and spent a few hours measuring and drawing a template. He called the next day to double check a couple of measurements. They really go to the extreme to make sure things are just right. The door was finally ordered and we expected a wait of about 3 months for it to be built. When the door was about a week away they called to set up a time for installation. The installation crew showed up on time, and did a meticulous job of installation. The floor was covered from debris and everything went in perfectly. The installers were super friendly and really knew what they were doing. All is good with the world. The door looks amazing, fits and operates without a problem. I highly recommend JD's Glassworks.

We knew that the replacement would be a custom job and we called Diamond Glass Company. From the first visit (by Troy) explaining the process required to remove and replace the glass to the repair completed by Milo this morning, I could not be more pleased. Both Troy and Milo were very professional, knowledgeable and skilled. Milo did an awesome job removing both a stained glass window and the pressurized glass from the inside with a bath tub in the way. The replacement of the pressurized with a new custom sized window and the replacing of the stained glass window was without issue. Very well done. Thank you to both of these folks but especially Milo for his attention to detail and workmanship.

The sales person Charlie met with me and took the appropriate measurements, was respectful of my time, and gave us plenty of options. Their professionalism was what sold me on the company--they were not trying to upsell me, or overcharge like other companies would (one other company gave us a 3 hour sales pitch and quoted 20k for the same six windows). Universal gave us a reasonable price and didn't take up unnecessary time. Eugeniy personally ordered the windows to the custom measurements, and when they arrived he brought one to store so that it wouldn't be damaged in transit. He had recommended that we install a new window in our exit door and it was the right call--that entire area looks much improved! The installers were prompt, professional, and the end result was clean, precise, and expertly done. Eugeniy himself came to check the quality of their work and made sure it was done to his standard before receiving the final payment. Thought I had to replace a few windows and turned out, all I needed was to replace glasses (inside the wood panes)...a service that FG&M specializes in. +++. Services they provide are mirrors, glasses inside windows, shower glasses / doors and more. FG&M is the only one that locally manufactures their glasses and mirrors of the four providers that I met with. The other three buy the glasses from distributors. Glen the owner came out to measure my glasses / windows and identified the type of glass replacement I needed. He was very knowledgeable and advised me of the culprit with my windows. Glen also shared with me how their manufacturing process prevents the failure I experienced with my existing windows. From the order to install took about a week which is about 1/2 the lead time than other providers. Two men came out to install...Ricky had been taught by Glen and has been with FG&M for more than a decade. They took care and about 2 hours to install several glasses. I was afraid that my round wood trim might break but they did it carefully enough that they were able to put everything back like it was before! Also, the other man whose name escapes me kindly remedied a shower door problem I had :-). + Price is competitive...they were the highest but all were within 10% of the bids. I spoke with Paul, the pricing man and he removed an error that was in the quote and were within $30 of their competitor. Their warranty is 7 years compared with 10 years from others. Apparently, most manufacturers are 5 years and the distributors augment additional to 10 years. Since I went directly to the manufacturer and FG&M only to 7 years, I charged my glasses on a credit card that extends the warranty to 9 years. Overall, I went with FG&M because they are a local one stop shop from measuring, manufacturing to install and I appreciated the knowledge Glen shared. I figured if the owner understood the problem and knew how to prevent it, then I would be better off with them than getting glasses from elsewhere. Another factor to consider was the lead time and if you need it sooner than 2 weeks, they are the only ones that could. I'm happy with my glass replacement experience with FG&M as they exceeded my expectation. You know that's not easy to do ;-) This one's a keeper!
