The options are limited to trekking to the food court upstairs in Richmond Centre, walking to your parked car and eat or heading home quickly in order to enjoy their lobster roll warm. I would recommend enjoying the lobster roll warm as it's more yummy and it's refreshing to add some lemon juice to the warm lobster roll. Ambiance at this location is typical of the Chinese bakeries in town. Grab a tray for convenience if you are buying more than 5 items and be patient if there's a line up. There isn't a specific pastry item or baked item that I usually buy from St Germaine besides the lobster roll because the overall taste of their buns are on the sweeter side and I mostly buy savory flavored buns or items like the sesame pastry. Their mango cakes seem to get a lot of compliments and the pineapple buns are quite popular. St Germaine is good at making Cantonese pastries with different variations. It's nice that they keep the menu interesting so one can often find something new to try.

For the Too Good to Go package I was given a bag that had a savory croissant sandwich in it and a box that had two large sized pieces of some kind of flaky pastry with cheese in it. The croissant had cheese on top and some kind of deli meat in the middle. I don't eat meat so I warmed this up for my husband and daughter to share. The flaky pastry with cheese I saved and warmed up for breakfast with my daughter the next day. A bit of Google searching has told that those flaky pastries are Cheese Pitas. It's a mix of feta and cottage cheese inside. Always a gamble with Too Good to Go. I probably wouldn't have ever thought to order these foods if I'd walked into the shop and ordered regular price. I see that as a plus though, not a minus. I kinda like trying things I wouldn't normally think to try. The pastry on both the croissant and cheese pita were both very flaky. I still prefer the sweets here over the savory items but the savory items are pretty good too. If you like flaky pastries, this is a pretty good place for that!

I guess there might be different owners and chefs for each of these bakeries. There's different style and ways folks make the 鸡仔饼 but this specific location makes it super well vs others. The flavor is different, and I use this one to compare to others. They also have other pastries and goods like a pineapple bbq pork bun, pineapple custard bun, cakes, etc. This location is located inside Parker Place, and with lots of other small shops and restaurants. The standout item was the Purple Rice loaf. The purple rice was kneaded inside the bread, and it was absolutely delicious - packed with filling and great flavor. Overall, I liked all the loaves. She gave me a sample of the sesame crisp as it was the last item and she was ready to clear the tray. The family is from Northern Iraq so different from the southern Middle East baked goods. Sold by the pound, I got 4 squares and 1 pistachio cookie which cost about $10.50. The lady said not to put the box in the refrigerator as it will dry it out, but leave on the counter away from the sun and it will last 2-3 weeks. Well, it's my stomach and not the sun that will make this box empty! I'm looking forward to coming back for more goodies.

I mentioned it was my first time there and the lady was so friendly and gave me a complimentary piece of baklava of my choosing and to enjoy - what great service! I ended up getting half a pound of the walnut baklava and half a pound of pistachio baklava for around $22. I only got to eat the pistachio baklava and it was crispy, light, and not too sweet. This is easily my new favourite baklava place and can't wait to try more! I bought the box of baklava to my friend's Thanksgiving dinner but she didn't up sharing (haha!) but told me how much she and her husband enjoyed the sweets. Especially the Old Bean, and it's proximal. Why does he like it so much? Breakfast. Scratching your head? I'm not, because I live in his reality. This is a bakery for cakes, pasties, and other HK style sweet snacks. Even the so-called savory items in here are slightly sweet, the wiener buns are an example. As the Old Bean is wont to do, this is what he consumes for breakfast. Pastries and cake, not congee. Although he'll go out for congee, but at home, it's cake. Chestnut cake, at 9:30AM, along with robusta bean pre ground coffee, aka MJB, out of a jumbo-sized tin or plastic tub, from a percolator, after a rolling boil of 20 minutes. Basically, a combination of bitter melon and sulfuric acid is the end product, generously seasoned with 6 heaping teaspoons of sugar, and a bit of milk is the way he likes it. This is not hyperbole. It's a gruesome brew in the morning, enough to kill the appetite and palate of a starving alligator or any reptillian in the Florida everglades. So this is why I'm here. It's my living certainty. I do eat stuff from here every now and then but not on any regular basis. I order B-Day cakes from here for occasions also. It's what the seniors are accustomed to. Helpful staff. Paid street parking in front and a couple of free spaces in the back. Grab and go place. Minimal interior seating. Cash or debit only.

It was my first time trying a Chinese fruit cocktail cake - I always would see them at Chinese bakeries and be tempted - so I have no basis for comparison on other fruit cocktail cakes, but I enjoyed the flavour. The cake was light with lots of fruit in the filling. It seemed a bit sweeter than the Asian cakes I'm used to. The sweeter cake and frosting in combination with the fruit cocktail, which is itself sweetened, made this a sweeter dessert than I would've liked. I'd be open to trying them again if it was in my neighbourhood, but it wouldn't be my first choice for Chinese desserts just based off this one cake.

This location was a bit smaller in my opinion, which is good for a grab and go. It's quite busy though so it shows how popular this franchise is.
