Food was really good. A bit too much onion in the fried rice. Really commend chopping onions a little finer especially for the kiddos who aren't fun of onions.

The Panda Garden is a must try, they never disappoint. The food is delicious and the service is speedy and the staff is friendly and nice. Panda Garden is most definitely A Hidden Gem

All the food I have tried has been delicious. My mom and I love the vegetable rice noodles and egg drop soup. The service is always good and friendly. I have only eaten inside the restaurant once or twice. The ambiance is family friendly. We usually get orders to go and they have always been correct.

Best Orange Chicken I've had anywhere. Service is fast. Crab Rangoons are good, but a little too rich for my taste.

The meat quality isn't the best and the sauces are quite overdone on most chicken entrees.

It's a huge space and usually is packed with a ton of people on the weekends, so it can sometimes take a little bit to get the dim sum carts around to you. But while a lot of people come for the dim sum (which is really really good), we actually go for the family styled meals! For the wide array of flavors and dishes, the food comes out pretty timely! The spicy tofu is spicy and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside while the fragrant eggplant is soft and comes with a thick tangy, spicy sauce and sliced up mushrooms for a crunchy added texture. I could honestly go on and on about how much I love this place, but that would be a whole thesis on its own. I absolutely recommend Dim Sum King!

The classic items include siumai, hargow, egg tart, wu kok (honeycomb taro dumpling), BBQ bun, chicken feet, turnip cake, BBQ Roast Pork, fried sesame ball and an order of supreme soy noodles. Staff were friendly and service is a mix. Some items were served quickly while others took a bit of a time. Overall, the restaurant is clean and there's plenty of other Cantonese style food available to order.

Petals of a Peony is one of the best restaurants in Memphis, and I wish I had tried it sooner. I…read moremade the mistake of assuming it's just another American Chinese takeout spot. It is not. It is a Michelin recognized (i.e., fancy) authentic Szechuanese restaurant. While I can't comment on the authenticity, the flavors are deeper and bolder than any Chinese cuisine I've ever had. My brother and I fight over which is better, the boiling fish or the dry pot. Really, everything we've had has been excellent. It's possible to go affordable here with something like a fried rice dish, but I recommend being adventurous and trying something new. Every dish is sharing size and a table of two could eat their fill with one or two dishes. They get busy during peak times but they're good at turning tables and I've never had a bad wait. I'll note that the food comes out suspiciously quick, seemingly regardless of what we order it takes around 5-10 minutes, even when we brought a larger party.

It adds to the flavor without being the only thing to the food. I just wish I had more people who liked spicy food to come eat here with me. I came back with some friends from out of town and it was still amazing. My fav thing is still on the Lunar New Year Menu: the Sichuan Mala Dry Pot. It had amazing flavor, good spice, and everything in it was just awesome. I've found a similar thing on the regular menu so I won't have withdrawals except for the fact that I genuinely want to eat here every week and can't hahah To try: Mapo Tofu Appetizer: Steamed Chicken with Chili Sauce Edamame Beef Spicy Crispy Chicken Sichuan Style Fried Rice Dandan Noodles Spicy Dry Noodles Loved: - House Special Mala Xiang Guo Dry Pot - Lunar New Year: Sichuan Mala Dry Pot (ABSOLUTE FAV) - Peony Chicken Liked: - Beef and Broccoli - Fried Rice: Yangzhou Style - Lunar New Year: Homestyle Whole Fish - Lo Mein: chicken, shrimp, and extra spice - Twice Cooked Pork Ok: - Tea: Jasmine - Lunar New Year: Garlic Pork Ribs Disliked: - Lunar New Year: Four Happiness Meatball - Traditional Kung Pao Chicken

I too have passed this place for over 30 years and never stopped in. The restaurant was very neat and clean on the inside, to go only style but, a few seats available to dine in. The service was prompt and super friendly as well as professional, prices are beyond reasonable. Now the food. I ordered shrimp egg fu young along with wonton soup. Starting with the soup, it lacked flavor, the dumplings were doughy and undercooked however I did enjoy all the veggies and pork pieces in side the soup especially the actual fried wontons. Unfortunately the dumplings were undercooked and I couldn't finish due to the gummy and chewy texture of the dough. Shrimp egg fu young is a dish that I must try at any restaurant when available this was no exception to the rule. The presentation was beautiful mouthwatering but once I bit into the egg foo yong, I got nothing but grease in my mouth. It didn't taste like anything but a bland fluffy grease pocket, and once I spat it out. Nothing but clear grease came out. my mouth was coated with a film of grease in no way could I finish that. I can only share my personal experience and unfortunately it wasn't great. Crazy part is I'm not opposed to giving them another shot with different items it will be a good while if I do decide to return but my initial experience wasn't the best food wise and although cheap it was a waste of money because it all went into the trash

Went in for an early New Year's Eve dinner. This place has been here for years; I see it as an…read moreeast Memphis institution. The inside is eclectic, it's not fancy...though this isn't a bad thing. It's a nice escape from the run-of-the-mill Chinese take-out places (where you can eat inside also), it's not trying to be corporate-flashy. Best I can describe it is authentic to the people who own the joint. And I like it; a couple of fish tanks, some kitsch, the odd neon signs inside (over the bar, on the west wall towards the rear), the unused area to the right of the bar. Somethings work, something's are out of place, but it's a testament to the longevity of the location. So the food: the value is great. The apps were middle-of-the-road (sweet fire shrimp, spicy cucumbers (sans spicy but ponzu), spring rolls. The stand out was the hot and sour soup. Nothing really novel about it, but exactly what I was looking for. As the duck sauce was a bit sweet for the spring rolls to my liking, I found it necessary, and delicious, to dunk the spring rolls in the hot and sour soup. The Scientist had her usual kung-pao chicken. Really good, if not a bit basic (though the slight notch up of heat from the Szechuan peppers was appreciated). I went with the Peking duck. It's the most expensive thing on the menu (as it is everywhere else), but worth it. This is going to feed 2-3 or a big meal there and a healthy portion to take home. The skin crispy, the meat moist. Bones removed, but for the wings and thigh bones...it was appreciated. Served with Chinese pancakes and onions and a delightful hoisin. Highly recommended. The staff was delightful. Efficient (if not a little too efficient; we had two servers ask for our order), attentive, hospitable. We don't really have a go-to for Chinese food. Despite being out in Gtown, this may be our new default for Chinese eat-in or take-out.

The staff were very friendly and the restaurant was nice and clean from my vantage point. They had a buffet but I wasn't in the mood for that. I placed an order for the egg drop soup, 1 egg roll, 1 spring roll and wings. My food was ready pretty quickly and I was on my way. Once I made it home, I tried the spring and egg roll they were both solid nothing special but good. Next, I tried the egg drop soup and I enjoyed it, especially since I was under the weather. The wings were last and they were huge! I wonder how large was that chicken to produce wings that big! I was not a fan of the chicken but I would go back to try other items on the menu and I did enjoy the soup.
