Customer service was VERY good the girl was really good at listening and getting my order correct in the drive thru. Food was very good and clean looking

This Panda Express at 32945 Western Hills Dr. is the closest location to my home (only about a 5-minute drive), so I really wanted it to be my go-to. The restaurant is less than a year old, yet it's already sitting at roughly a 3.0-star average rating on Yelp - and unfortunately, my experiences line up with that middling rating. I've given this location multiple chances over the past several months, hoping things would improve or at least hoping I'd catch a good day. I usually refrain from posting reviews, but after my latest visit I feel compelled to speak up. Convenience aside, the repeated poor experiences have left me thoroughly disappointed and unwilling to return. Tiny Portion Sizes: As you can see in the photo, the portions served here are noticeably small. The entree sections of my plate weren't even filled - far less food than I get at other Panda Express locations or Chinese takeout spots. On every visit, I've found myself staring at half-filled containers and wishing there was more food for the price. For example, the Honey Walnut Shrimp barely covered the corner of the tray, and the Broccoli Beef was mostly large broccoli florets with only a few thin beef strips. It's frustrating to pay for a meal and still feel a bit hungry afterward, but that's exactly what happened each time. This consistently stingy portion size is one of the biggest issues. In the photo above, the Honey Walnut Shrimp (left side) came with maybe 3 small shrimp - far fewer than I've received at other Panda locations. The Beef and Broccoli (visible on the right) had an abundance of broccoli but very little beef, essentially using vegetables as filler. I've encountered the same issue with other entrees here as well. It's clearly not just me, either - even other customers have noted being "disappointed to find a small portion of chicken" in their orders . The pattern is clear: this location consistently skims on portions, leaving you unsatisfied by the end of the meal. Bland, Uninspired Flavor If the small portions weren't bad enough, the flavor of the food has been equally disappointing. Each dish we've tried lacked the bold, savory taste you'd expect from good Chinese cuisine. Nothing we ordered had the usual Panda Express appeal - none of that signature sweet-savory tang or comforting seasoning. Instead, everything tasted flat, as if the recipes were watered down. It was bland and uninspired across the board, which made the meal doubly frustrating. To break it down, we ordered a variety of items and every single one was underwhelming in flavor: * Beef and Broccoli: The sauce was practically non-existent and what little flavor was there didn't penetrate the ingredients. The broccoli was fresh but almost raw and unseasoned, and the few beef pieces were chewy and lacked any marinade or spice. * Honey Walnut Shrimp: Usually this dish should have a rich, sweet glaze, but here it was forgettable. The shrimp were lukewarm and not as crispy as they should be, and the creamy walnut sauce was scant and bland. Even the candy-glazed walnuts on top couldn't save it - overall a big letdown (and not worth the extra charge for a premium item). * Chow Mein: The noodles were dry and plain, with only a sparse scattering of cabbage and onion. It tasted just oily and starchy, without the savory soy-garlic flavor that chow mein is supposed to have. We've had far better chow mein at other Panda Express locations; this one was just meh. * Fried Rice: Honestly, the fried rice had almost no flavor at all. It was basically white rice with a hint of egg and a few peas and carrot bits thrown in. No seasoning, no "wok hei" or anything to give it character. We had to douse it in soy sauce at home to make it passable, which shouldn't be necessary for fried rice. Final Verdict - Not Returning It's a shame that a brand-new Panda Express in such a convenient location turned out to be so disappointing. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt with a few visits, but nothing improved. The combination of tiny portions and bland, uninspired food makes for a really unsatisfying meal. Despite how close this restaurant is to me, I'd rather drive a bit further to another location (or to a local Chinese restaurant) than waste money here again. After this latest visit, I'm officially done with this Panda Express. Convenience isn't worth it if the food is mediocre - and in my experience, this location has proven that point one too many times. TO PANDA CORPORATE TEAM, This location should be investigated to make sure they are upholding to franchise standards. Thanks ....

Horrible, might be the fact that it's new but everything had too much sauce or just bland.

I looked over the variety of dishes and settled on a 2 item combo with Hawaiian Chicken & Spicy Garlic Chicken along with half & half of rice & Lo Mein. The lady who fulfilled my order was cordial. Service was nice & quick. The interior is no frills with ceramic tile used as wainscoting adorned the wall. I couldn't help but notice that the wall tiles by my table needed a good scrubbing. There were telltale signs of splatter of sauces & meals gone by. Other than that, the interior was clean. They did have a young man cleaning tables in front of their eatery. He needs to come in & pay attention to the wall tiles I chose to eat indoors since it was too hot to sit outside. When I opened the box it was overflowing! The Hawaiian Chicken was very flavorful but the Spicy Garlic Chicken was neither spicy nor even a hint of garlic flavor. That was disappointing but the chicken was tender. Both the rice & noodles didn't have much seasoning but the Hawaiian Chicken complemented it. Overall, though not fancy nor the best Chinese food you do get a bang for your buck. It's a decent meal. Would I return? Most likely but not often.

We recently tried Melody Thai Cuisine and WOW... what a hidden gem!…read more First off, the location is a little sketchy and tucked away in a plaza, and honestly you would never even know this place was there unless someone told you about it. Don't let that fool you though; the food is AMAZING. We ordered the Tom Kha soup and it was incredibly flavorful. The broth was rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced with that classic Thai coconut flavor. It was easily one of the best Tom Kha soups I've had. The fresh spring rolls were also beautifully presented and tasted so fresh. You could tell the ingredients were high quality and freshly made. We also ordered the beef Pad See Ew, and it was SO good!! the noodles were perfectly cooked and the flavor was spot on. On top of the food, the customer service was excellent. Our server was incredibly nice, attentive, and very helpful with recommendations. She made the whole experience even better. If you're in the area and craving Thai food, definitely give this place a try. It may be hidden, but it's absolutely worth finding!

My mother in-law ordered a few dishes to take home for our family dinner. She put the order in for 5:30pm, they said that it would be ready by 6:21pm, but as the time flew, they did not recieve the food till 6:45pm. This was on a Saturday. -Fried Rice had flavor, but was on the pricier side. -Pad thai noodles were on the softer/mushier side when we started eating them at home. -The Sampler, had egg rolls that lacked in filling. Rangoons tasted good. Calamari was oily when you bit into it. -The Eggplant dish we ordered had more beef than the eggplant itself, only a few pieces of it sadly. Also on the pricier side for the portion. -Tom Kha soup was $10 for a small portion, I definitely think it can be improved, even though it tasted alright. I've had better, that had more of that lemon grass flavor. Definitely believe there could be improvement, but I will be checking out other thai places around town to compare.

We were overcharged, and when we asked for a manager, she came out with attitude - rude, defensive, and zero accountability. Instead of fixing it, she hid behind a tiny font disclaimer on the front page of menu that no one would even notice unless someone points it out. That's not transparency, that's misleading. They also sneak in auto-gratuity starting at 5 people (not standard) and don't bother telling you. Between the shady pricing and the terrible management attitude, this place clearly doesn't value its customers. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else!

I ordered one pound of head-on shrimp, and they were overcooked, dry, and completely lacking flavor. The seasoning was so minimal that the Cajun fries had more flavor than the shrimp themselves.
