I ordered from the app for the first time. And it was the first time eating at this Panda Express. I ordered ahead and it was ready to go 20 minutes early. The attendant was friendly with a delightful smile. The food of course is delicious as usual with big bold flavor you would expect. I'll definitely eat here again

This was a "plate" with fried rice, sesame chicken and honey cashew shrimp. Wonderful!

We always try to find a Panda Express when we travel, since we don't have one in our town. This is the first time at this particular restaurant. I don't understand why it only gets two stars. The service was quick, the food was great and portions were generous. I have no complaints! It hit the spot! The restaurant and the bathroom were both clean and that's a big deal to me. Enjoy!

We ordered through the drive-thru to try the new sizzling shrimp bowl. We had a bogo coupon so we got two different bowls. The new shrimp bowl is good. I enjoyed the vegetables in the dish and had it with fried rice. The sauce is a little spicy, thick and sticky. It is a very bold flavor and overpowers the shrimp flavor. I still prefer the honey walnut shrimp bowl, because you can taste the shrimp, but It had minimal walnuts. Overall a good experience. I am glad I gave the new dish a try.

The fortune from my fortune cookie. Don't know why I'm posting this, but it seems memey

Stopping in Ukiah in the midst of a long road trip, I found myself scurrying on my phone to search for any alternative to the Jack in the Box the rest of my group was currently eating at. I found this Panda Express online, which is good because I generally like Panda Express, but saw it had pages upon pages of bad reviews. After reading some of them, it almost became a bit of a curiosity to me due to HOW many bad reviews there were. Could it really be that bad? I had to find out. I ordered online and my food was hot and ready when I got there 10 minutes later. I only dealt with one staff member, Adrianna, and she was pleasant enough. The food was hot and fresh, and the portion sizes were actually some of the most generous I have ever gotten from a Panda Express, which surprised me considering this was one of the main complaints among the other reviewers. (the picture I have posted was actually taken AFTER I had eaten a significant amount of it; there was probably about 25% more meat than pictured) All of the food was pretty great, actually. The crispy almond chicken was slightly overcooked, being just a tad burned on a couple pieces, but I didn't really care because it was tasty anyway. Hey, it is supposed to be the 'crispy' chicken, right? The Beijing spicy beef and honey walnut shrimp (I almost always get these two when I go to PE) we're actually some of the best examples of this dish I've had at Panda Express. The restaurant was clean too. Four stars because of the slightly burned chicken, my fortune cookie was crushed into multiple pieces when I received it, and the staff did seem a little bit rushed and not overly accommodating, although this didn't affect me too much seeing that I just ordered online. In fact, I'd say it was better than roughly 60-70% of my Panda Express experiences. I don't even typically leave Yelp reviews for chains that often, but I felt it was my duty to do what I can to right the ship on this store. Was it the best Panda Express in the world? Perhaps not. But does it deserve the flurry of 1 star ratings it currently has? ABSOLUTELY not. I had a pleasant time and enjoyed my food there, and should I return to Ukiah (which I highly doubt I ever will), I would eat here again without hesitation.

My portions Kung Pao Chicken, Sweet Fire Chicken, Chow mein, Fried rice.
    Patty M.

Ok, chow mein very dry and tasteless, fried rice very plain flavor, the Kung Pao chicken a little salty, and the sweet fire chicken no that spicy as I was expected and not even crunchy and sweet. Then the portions are so small as they should be! I ordered on DoorDash and the food came faster but completely cold but anyways I think this is the last time I'll order here in Ukiah, I'll be waiting until going to Panda Santa Rosa which is way better than this one! Well this is my personal opinion

    Courtney G.

While I understand and can definitely appreciate the COVID hardships... I'm getting increasingly frustrated with the Ukiah Panda Express. The cashiers speak SO FAST & cut you off 90% of the time before you can finish your sentence, then you get served subpar food, & soda that has no syrup left. I got TWO pieces of beef tonight... the last time I got honey walnut shrimp I was afraid to eat. I HAVE had SOME great meals here. I again understand COVID and that this is a newer restaurant... but there needs to be some MAJOR quality assurance!

    This should be the standard.

This place just opened last month, and already they are in serious trouble with the quality of the food and the way it is served. Now, more often than not most of the various dishes in the steam table are empty, and when you settle for entrées you didn't really want even those are dried out and gross. We can assume that corporate figures there will always be long lines to eat there no matter what, so they can pull off the training wheels and let a bunch of 20-year-olds run the place as best they can... Bumping into one another in a tangle of confusion and apologizing To pretty much everybody that comes in there to get a meal and copes with one deficit after another. Bring back some adult supervision in the form of actual professional managers or this experience will turn from dismal to disgusting

    Small portions
    Diego L.

Worst panda ever, they are rude, rush you while ordering, and their portions are extremely small. Their standards need to match all other Panda Express. The management is not doing there job. Corporate needs to get involved because this is an ongoing issue that a lot of customers have complained about.

Jyun Kang Vegetarian - A Meal That Quietly Resets You…read more Some meals speak in flavor. This one speaks in quiet. Jyun Kang is not modern plant-based cuisine. It isn't creative, trendy, or reinvented. This is the kind of vegetarian cooking that comes from older traditions - simple, steady, and designed to calm you more than impress you. And maybe that's why the dining room is always full. White, Black, Indian, Asian - everyone sits at the same wooden tables, eating the same humble dishes with an ease that feels rare these days. The Food: Old-School, Temple-Style, and Intentionally Quiet Nothing here tries to stand out. The dishes are: * lightly seasoned * clean and balanced * tofu, vegetables, and wheat gluten prepared the way temple kitchens have done for decades * no heavy oil, no aggressive spices, no sharp flavors It's not meant to overwhelm you. It's meant to lower the noise inside you. In a strange way, the quietness is the flavor. This is the type of meal where your nervous system shifts down a gear without you realizing it. The Atmosphere: A Dining Room Wrapped in Calm Steps away from the main courtyard of the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas, the restaurant feels like an extension of the grounds themselves. Light streams in softly. People speak gently. Even the clinking of dishes feels slower, more deliberate. Eating here isn't just eating - it's entering a different pace of life. A White Peacock After Lunch After the meal, a white peacock walked across the courtyard - unhurried, soft-footed, almost unreal in how quietly it moved. White peacocks are often considered auspicious, but even without any symbolism, the moment felt grounding - a small, unexpected pause that matched the tone of the meal. Not many restaurants offer you that. The Walk Afterward Part of the experience is what happens once you step outside: * walking past tall trees * seeing peacocks on rooftops * watching families stroll through the open grounds * letting your mind cool in the same way your body just did This isn't a restaurant visit. It's a reset. Verdict: A Place That Nourishes More Than Hunger Jyun Kang serves exactly what it intends to serve: pure, old-style temple vegetarian food, quietly and consistently. It won't dazzle you, but it will steady you. And sometimes, that is worth more than flavor. If you want boldness, go elsewhere. If you want a meal that lowers the volume of your day - come here. Potstickers were pretty okay as long as you didn't get a burned one. Teriyaki ribs were greasy but fairly tasty. The vegetarian chow mein and the rice noodles were inoffensive and the egg rolls (labeled spring rolls) were pretty good and not oily. My husband said the shrimp were good. Otherwise, the food was either dried out or tasteless. Wonton soup had no flavor at all - I had to add salt AND soy sauce. Hot & sour soup was hot, all right, but not sour, and had no flavor. My husband had some of the tilapia and regretted it. There's a salad bar that appeared untouched. There is American food (fried chicken, mashed potatoes) which looked okay but I didn't try it. I had some melon (hard) and orange slices (dried out). My husband asked me if I had noticed the sushi - yes, I saw it, but I was afraid to try it. Atmosphere is utterly depressing - families with kids that are being threatened to eat ("I'm gonna count to three and you better eat... one... two...") or pressured ("You can't have any ice cream until you eat your pizza"). We only ate here because we were very tired from a long road trip and it was close to our motel. We left hoping we wouldn't get sick. Never again.

I could smell the garlic as soon as I opened the container. There was plenty of rice, the chicken was tender, and the veggies were just right. The rice was done perfectly, and it went with the Dish very very well. I had enough soup and garlic chicken to have a nice breakfast as well. The price was reasonable considering I got two meals out of it. The only thing I could say, was they could see that it was a DoorDash order, but I don't know if they could see that it was going to a motel. If they could see that, they should've realized that most motels don't have bowls or plates The garlic chicken and the rice came in small "to go containers", and I had no plates or anything, so it made it kind of hard to eat.
