Half chow mein and fried rice with beijing beef (left) + honey sesame chicken
Jina H.

Lunch for two in a weekday right around noon, thought the wait would be long but not much wait time. Was serviced right away and asked if I wanted to try samples. It seems that the presentation of each item has improved from what I remember and the details of extra fees for premium entrees are clearly marked which was nice. All the items were full in their tray with more entree items being filled. Two plates ordered, one with half chow mein and fried rice for the side and Beijing beef/ honey sesame chicken for the entrees. The other plate consisted of the same sides bit with orange chicken and mixed veggies. Both my sister and I found the chow mein a little dry. The entrees were pretty good for this fast pace experience. The orange chicken could have been a bit crispier. First time trying the honey sesame chicken as I thought it would be too sweet, but just right. The crispness was a great factor adding texture with the green beans. The ice machine was broken which could be problematic for the hot days we have but not a big deal and overall eating back at Panda Express reminded me of school days, filling and price wise not bad but definitely feeling the food coma after!

I ordered the "bigger plate, with 2x beef and broccoli. I got maybe 3 tiny strips of beef and a bunch of undercooked broccoli

I ordered the "bigger plate, with 2x beef and broccoli. I got maybe 3 tiny strips of beef and a bunch of undercooked broccoli tree trunks lol. This place is a fucking joke and will never get another dollar from me. I hope everyone who participated in making my dish today has a family member die of covid-19. Sincerely, and with all due respect, go fuck yourselves straight to death.

Shrimp & Steak, Kung pao chicken and half fried rice and noodle.

I tried Panda again for the first time in over 10 years. It will probably be 10 more. Not much flavor, seemed really old. Not impressed

The only thing this location offered for Chinese New Year was slow service, low selection and a chance to be overcharged.

My husband had the general tso's If you like spice you'll love the hot and sour soup and the spicy general tso's. My husband enjoyed the heat but if you can't handle spice, you've been warned. The food was so good and we can't wait to come back to try more on the menu.

I tend to steer away from the old Chinese staples from the past like sweet & sour anything but the cubes of salmon in a not-too-sweet sauce was really a surprise ($22). The Happy Family ($23) is a required dish I've renamed "Happy Leftovers." The best of everything stir-fried perfectly in a very light savory sauce: prawns, scallops, chicken, beef, and veggies. Just this and rice is a complete meal actually. The Cashew chicken ($20) and Scallion beef ($20) thin slices of beef, velveted with cornstarch, stir-fried with scallions, shallots, ginger and garlic and a brown sauce that tasted like it had sesame oil, and oyster or hoisin sauce, rounded out our order. Parking is still easy and plentiful. Totally ADA accessible. Inside is a little more upscale (good for date nights) and the full bar is really classy for being in a shopping center that shares space with Walmart. Family-owned and operated. No kids menu but unless yours is super picky, there are a lot of dishes to choose from most kids will eat. As about patio seating when the weather is nice. People-watching is epic!

We were looking for a new Chinese restaurant and found Kuang's Chicken off of Capitol HWY down the…read moreroad from PCC Sylvania, its located right next to the 7-11 in a small shopping center. As you walk in your are greeting by a friendly staff member, they will sit you down at your choice of table. Its a small by cozy dining room. Their menu has all of your favorites , from appetizers, soups, noodles to Mu Shu Dishes. We came in during lunch, on the back of their menu you will find the the lunch specials within various proteins, veggie, noodle of fried rice options. Be warned, you get your choice of Spring roll or BBQ Pork with Fried rice "or" just Hot and Sour soup. The important distinction that is missing in their menu is the word "or". I wanted hot and sour soup, as my order was taken, I asked for clarity , I ordered Hot and sour Soup, and ask not to have rice, she then asked if I wanted an egg roll so I assumed it was one of the other options as a side that came with the food, it did not but I did not understand this until later on. So be ware. The food portions are large, my son ordered the General Tso's Chicken, its marked as spicy but it was not spicy, the taste of this dish was very good, the sauce had great flavor. I ordered the Kung Pao Chicken also marked as spicy, it had a slight kick but nothing major, it had good flavor but not a lot of veggies, it did have a good portion of chicken. So then we both get a cup of fried rice to the table, and sweet and sour sauce and an egg roll. I did not think anything of it based on the way the menu was laid out within the lunch special. The only thing that I found odd is that I ask not to have rice but still got rice, I figured it was an oversight. A few min went by and I never got the hot and sour soup so I moved on and finished my meal. They also serve hot tea which was very good. When we asked for to go containers they were brought to us quickly. After your meal, you will need to go to the counter to pay, she handed me our check and I asked her for clarification around the lunch special, so you can choose either BBQ Pork or a Spring roll, which either choice comes with Fried Rice but if you want Hot and Sour Soup, you would not get a spring roll or fried rice. We pay our bill which seemed a bit high since each dish is 9.95 but we did not stop to question it more. We get to our car and the employee comes running out the door asking me to come back in, she had given us another persons bill so we were overcharged, I am very thankful that she come out to correct the issue. I would share that its a two person operation, the waitress is very direct and short but she is running around doing multiple things at a time. Given our overall experience I gave them a 4 star rating, the food quality and taste is overall good, the service is what it is, the pricing is very affordable, I would also check their food safety scores, they are slightly concerning.

Glad I got it to go though; the place is no great shakes in ambiance department, and the lady ringing me up at the counter seemed like she couldn't be rid of me fast enough. The restaurant hasn't been renovated in a very long time, but it has a loyal customer base. While we were there, we saw several regulars who proudly support the restaurant because it has become a tradition for them over the years. We tried the chicken garlic wings, honey walnut prawns, and pork fried rice, along with the complimentary tea. The food was tasty, the portions were satisfying, and the service was friendly and attentive. If you're looking for ambience, this may not be the place. But if you appreciate long-standing family-run restaurants with good food, it's definitely worth a visit. Do support places like this--they're part of the community and deserve to stay around.

41 years ruined by new ownership…read more Called in a take out order, new woman answered. Upon pick up, I noticed the booths in the dining room were gone, so obviously something more has changed. Prices were significantly more, like $5 more for the same combo as a year ago.... Okay, everything is going up. She brings out my order in a plastic lunch container, I look at her dumbfounded and say I ordered the number 10 dinner combo, and it should be 4 boxes of food, and it's incredibly light. She assures me it's what I ordered. I get out to the truck and peek inside, and there is about 3/4 of the normal food and only a small scoop of fried rice. I walked back in and asked, yup new ownership as of 7 months ago. I point to my T-Ball picture from 1987 on the wall and express my displeasure with the changes. -Red sauce was gelatinous and appeared to have been thawed -Soy Sauce is a different brand, Lucky (I loved the Double High brand, salty not sweet) -BBQ Pork is now bright red, no lacquer glaze, dry and sliced way too thick -Sesame Chicken has no sesame seeds in the batter -Pork Fried Rice has only the smallest flecks of bbq pork, dry and very small portion. -Fried Shrimp was the closest to previous, but still seemed off. Not sure I will be back. I'm heart broken as my hometown Chinese place of 41 years just died a silent death while I wasn't looking. I grew up with the previous owners son and although change is never easy we thank the Lee's for all the wonderful food and wish them a happy retirement. As for the new ownership, get your sh!t together or you'll never survive. $20 for the same combo I've been ordering for decades is laughable. I always had leftovers, but none this time as the portions are that small.
