Yesterday, I placed a large catering order online and within an hour I realzed I needed more food and that I needed to modify it. It wouldnt allow me to modify it online and it had also been sent to a 3rd party for the delivery part. So I called the store and the manager Chanel answered and was so kind and helpful and went above and beyond explaing all my options and offered to help in any way she could. Thank you to the staff there who prepared all our food and for Chanel who went above and beyond with her helpful customer service, thats a rarity now days. Good Job!! read more

Came in today, I walk in and the worker Jazmin G. was right in front of me clearly saw me and didn't acknowledge me as she was so preparing plates, then after waiting she told me she'll be with me in a second took off to the back and came back like 5 min later and then attended me wasn't friendly at all. Everything was fine until I got to the register . Jennifer handed me my bag of food as I go to tie my bad she begins to hand me my drink. I tell her "sorry give me a second to tie this " as I have other items in my hands. She then tries to set the drink down on a display in front of the register where it was not a flat surface. Again I said "one second while I tie my bag" she proceeds to place my cup on top of the change machine. Very obvious it will not stay. She then again sets it in front of me on top of empty containers and the cup falls over landing in front of me leaking juice.. I almost drop my bag and pick it up and ask her to wipe it. She said we don't have napkins back here putting the cup back against me. Instead of going back and forth with the little girl . I set my things down and grabbed the cup to wipe it down after the spill she made. SUPER bad customer service. She should not be at the register if she can't handle a fast paced environment. I am a fan of Panda Express. Most definitely. I cannot pass up their Rice bowls with Honey Walnut Shrimp. I think I get that every time I go. The restaurant is very convenitely locared right off Harvard Blvd. next to the CVS. There's usually a few people eating each time I come, and for the most part I've never had an issue with their food (knock on wood). The Orange Chicken is good, too, and sometimes I'll try something new they have out. But, I usually stick with my old stand-by. What's really nice is the last few times I've been there, when I asked the employee how long the Rangoons had been out - she offered to make me a fresh order. That was nice. Restrooms are clean, soda area cleaned and stocked well. They do ask you to go easy on the napkins, which I thought was a funny. Pretty basic place. No issues (so far!) and I'll keep coming back. So I rarely would eat at Panda because being vegan I barely had any options besides veggies and steamed rice. But recently they added the Beyond Orange Chicken and now I want to go all the time. Even my picky boyfriend loves it over the other food they have. I am so happy that they finally added the Beyond Orange Chicken in more locations! From experience the staff has always been friendly here so there was never really an issue there. But in general, I really recommend the Beyond if you like spicy and sweet orange chicken, the flavor is delicious! read more

Food aside--as a PE, you pretty much get what you expect--the lead counter employee who was holding things down on Friday, October 18th deserves a service medal. We didn't catch her name, but in a human mass of noise, impatience, screaming children and a line that was wending out the door, she took the time to meticulously put each order into play, made small talk, eye contact, cracked jokes and otherwise put forth the kind of Herculean effort at maintaining order that most of us can't effectively fake on even their finest days. Honestly the only thing that was terrible about this one is the service. The workers do not acknowledge you at all when you come in. (It was me and one other customer who was paying) I stood there while one of them made an online order in front of me. Not once said "hello, we will be right with you" or even a hello would of been nice. The whole encounter sucked. No customer service. I wasn't expecting a grand welcoming but I mean come on. We frequently visit this Santa Paula location and 9 out of 10 times it's pretty good. On a rare occasion my online To-Go order will have overly old food items and/or poorly distributed food throughout the container. However, when the food is fresh and thoughtfully placed in the container, this is one of my favorite options in this little town. My favorite "healthful" option is the String Bean Chicken Breast and Super Greens. The Chow Mein can be a hit or miss with this location... sometimes perfect and other times lacking in flavor or burnt. Helpful tip - if your food items in the case don't look fresh enough for your liking, the staff are generally nice and accommodating to make it fresh for you. read more

This is my local chinese eatery. thank god too... not many around here without having to drive over the hills. on a Sat eve visit, small line, but place clean & friendly. the bonus was the posted menu was 1.50 plates were cheaper than the online menu. the walnut shrimp and angus beef & veg entree was very fine. the chow main noodle was unfortunately a little oily and not hot enough in my late. my second time there. The worst Panda Express restaurant! The employees are very rude. They look very stressed in all fairness. However, the last two times we went in to order they gave us the wrong order. So, this last time I ordered using the app to make sure they could see the order in case they had trouble hearing. It still came out wrong! Even with the app! Im sad to report thats not the case anymore...I had lunch here today and was very disappointed . The food tasted ok but the portions are a joke.... This location used to be really good. I'm sad to say it's not so good anymore. The food tastes great, it's not the cook's fault... But management is stingy. Often there's not much food prepared and when you get your order they're very stingy on what they give. I ordered the entrée with steamed rice and noodles and Kung pao chicken and orange chicken. Got home and noticed there were only three pieces of chicken in the Kung pao.. And some nuts and veggies. I counted the orange chicken, only 6 pieces. All I thought was: "Really?" Barely anything. This was a really nice location. It is easy to see from the road with plenty of parking. The inside was quiet and clean, and the staff were all friendly. Even close to closing, they still had plenty of items to choose from, and they have later summer hours! If your buying here make sure it's in person if it's online order they cheat you by spilling over your steamed rice or chow main to the entree side then putting your entree on top of the chow main to make it look normal but really they just put less.
